  1. Such as tease... I loved them, along with the "Scarlet lady" as well.
  2. and as we are all a little bit naughty... you can in the afternoons make your own tea in the Galley and collect a cake or 5 from "The Sweet Side", and make your own afternoon tea 🙂
  3. Next to where you book shore things by the round about, there is a large table. They setup at one end of that for a few hours each day.
  4. Hi All, has this been updated lately? Im a lazy butt and checking out codes for possible voyages later this year. Spotted mine not updated yet and not sure when last update was. thanks all.
  5. Just checking this as a newbie when it comes to other (less nice lol) companies. Will they also match status in reverse, ie when virgin confirms what status we are with them, can we show other brands to get that matched?
  6. Of course, people always forget about "The Perch" which is a great hidden spot at the very top of the ship with some shade, loungers and no loud music. Just check they are not running a yoga class as that when the close that area off.
  7. But it’s a key part of the holiday! All in-laws love a gripe to tell the friends back home about. Lol
  8. well yes lol I am still shocked that some people think "chocolate milk" is a healthy option, or knock back smoothies and wonder why they piling on the pounds. Most smoothies contain more sugars than cake! just because its 100% natural sugars does not mean its guilt free lol
  9. Given the casino scene in Europe is much less of a thing we do, it would be safe to assume the minimums on European sailings will be the lower end.
  10. So there is no door on an XL between the room itself and the sink, but both the shower and WC have doors in them which are full height. Your bathroom is basically in three parts like Disney hotel rooms etc.
  11. Other way for people who just want to "grab and go" a can, is to ask on the way past at "Sip", they always have cans, and if you grab one on the way past can pop it in your own fridge in any cabin.
  12. VV has a pretty good set of "guest" acts on board which might float your boat a bit. Madison Grace is a pop country singer, also does some covers, but generally did an couple hours or more set each night on the one cruise we were on. Slam Allen is also a regular which is a southern blues with and a whole lot of soul going on. Now, if you want to try something really out the usually but something most people get into, there is a acoustic guitar performer who does "looping" called Daniel Park. In short, I think there is something for everyone music wise on VV, and THATS why people go back 🙂
  13. Hi! So a sea view (no balcony but has windows) is closer in size as a comparison. They come in at around 190 square feet as an insider is an average of about 180 square feet. A sea terrace with a balcony is a minimum of 185 square feet (internal space plus balcony). Now if you want to look at the other end of the scale, the massive suites which there are two come in at a, well, massive combined inside and out at 2,165 square feet.
  14. Yer, just to build on this a bit. One of the Rockstar perks is you can board at any time (in the boarding window). You can book a boarding time, or you can just "rock" up and board. Its useful as a perk if you are rushing from the airport to board etc.
  15. I would pass on a suite unless you just want to treat yourself "extra". Having done four voyages the XL suites are the best if you ask my opinion. They have a bit more storage space to hide your case, and the bathroom is much larger. Dining always has walk ups but it might be a wait of ten minutes or so unless your a group of 4 or above.
  16. Another thing I liked personally, is the changes to the lyrics. "I'm someone"... its a very small change but to some people important, and also just adds the inclusive vibe.
  17. Same show, different host, Go Say Hi to Daniel (the host) from me (he's a mate, and you might also recognise him from Drag Race UK.
  18. I like it to. shows what its actually like, and more relaxed than the previous mad party vibe ads.
  19. So the time between "float out" and "delivery" seems to be 8-10 months for ships if in schedule. For example Valiant it was 11 with push backs. With the float out of Resilient being July 21, and delivery was due Aug 22, but wash pushed back to 2023 due to delays with pandemic impacts. Brilliant Lady floated out in November 22 so in theory fit out and delivery could be any time from August to November 23.
  20. From a company risk approach, would you want a brand new ship, taking its first paying sailors to board on Christmas Eve and risk any teething issues on Christmas day? I would avoid it as much as possible, keep the Miami Mermaiden, but also add in another few voyages in advance with another route. Thats me with my operations and risk mitigation hat on anyway lol
  21. Had a look through the ship locations and i think its going to be announcing Brilliant Lady for August to December 2023 will be on the west coast of the USA with extended runs to Hawaii. 🙂 Home port.... Long Beach. 🙂 All a guess but lets see hey.
  22. You can also look at your booking to check. On the website you can open it up and see ion the booking the "add on" sections which generally show perks, and from memory also included the deep blue extars listed.
  23. The song is Karma Chameleon played on a ukulele. So money on the route for the next and final ships including Polynesian islands. Also makes sense then to not be cannibalising markets with two of there own ships in the same base / area at the same time for much of the year. Best wishes Rob
  24. On deck 6 in the Necessities shop they have all sorts of cards. 🙂 (inc bday which was needed lol). Just say thanks and a nice mention in the end of voyage survey 🙂
  25. It can be done, but in all honesty a "thank you" and a nice card is easier for the crew. They are all paid on a higher fixed salary so they financially are fine, and if you give them cash they have to complete a load of paperwork re taxes, and hand the cash in in the crew area. A good box of choc and a meaningful card would go a long way though I'm sure, and mention them by name in the end of voyage survey as that also helps them with future contracts. Best wishes
