  1. I've noticed that the app seems to work better when you log in with your booking number instead of your user name and password.  No idea why, but that has been my experience.  I have not had any issues booking specialty dinners and have not had to pay in advance.  I even booked our 2 included dinners for a 2026 cruise!

We also have a group of 6 with 3 cabana mini-suites on deck 10 booked for October 2024 cruise.  Until today I didn't realize that our cabins on deck 10 on the Sun are directly above the buffet. I had not clue that cabins were not below us on this booking.  Hoping this will not be too noisy....

I just realized that recently as well.  I’d be more concerned if the buffet was on the deck above.  I’m hopeful it won’t be an issue and will be watching for reviews as they become available.

Did we confirm that the dome is not adults only? The video is very confusing he states several occasions that it is but in the comments he says its not.

Must admit I surprised it was due to  it would be  Hard to police having one policy for day and night and being touted as family ship strange to ban them.

Do have any news on Park 19 on reason for the delay from videos all looks like it's there and ready to go?

The video that said is was adults only during the day has been updated to say it’s not. https://youtu.be/_z-eQBor370?si=qvIdIRVG6YXJ96QC

WEll I love swimming but one of my criteria is steps to comfortably enter a pool. Given the number of older cruisers this surprises me.

Me too.  We've only been on 1 cruise so far (2 booked since) and loved the Lotus Pool on the Caribbean since it was adult only and had stairs.  It never occurred to me that other ships wouldn't have at least 1 pool with them.  Our next cruise is on the Sun, then Royal - now I'm off to research the pools on the Royal, lol.

Is that for real..no steps into pool?

Seems like it.  I've watched all the videos showing pools and other than some having steps onto the wading area, all the pools have ladders from what I've seen 😞

I wouldn’t even mind the glass being high so much, especially on a transatlantic, if it wasn’t blue. Even the cabana deck on the renderings shows high glass, but not in blue, so obviously that was one of those last minute bad decisions. Or maybe they’ve just forgotten to remove the protective plastic seal 🤷🏻‍♀️

That would be funny if it was the protective plastic seal!!

  7. Princess didn’t cancel your flight, the airline did.  This is why I never book flights through a 3rd party.  It’s easier to manage schedule changes when you’re dealing directly with the airline.  Hope you get it all worked out.

  8. I’m curious to hear feedback on how crowded (or not) that deck gets with both the C1 and C2 mini’s having access to it.  I also wonder if families with little ones and groups will overtake the area and let friends/family have access to it through their cabins.  On longer cruises while school is in session, I could see it being a nice quiet private retreat.  I guess only time will tell. Meanwhile I’m happy with our choice to book a cabana mini on deck 10.

The private cabana deck on deck 9 is only accessible for Reserve Cabana mini suite guests, not for all mini suites or cabana suites. I think this private deck will not be too crowded.

Is available to all Reserve Cabana mini-suites, so 39 cabins assuming port side cabins are only allowed access to the port side deck and starboard cabins to the starboard deck.

I was able  to book in the MDR for our cruise in August and I have't paid in full yet. But I must admit I'm Platinum so that is probably why I was able. I made the booking through the Princess chat on their website. On another note, are the SD restaurants charged right away on your credit card or will it only show on your account?

We have been able to book SD without paying in advance.  When booking through the app it shows the price and then an adjustment for our Premier Pkg (or suite on our last cruise) and then had a zero balance.

  11. We booked a cruise last week for Feb 2026 and have already made our MDR and specialty dining reservations (739 days till we sail as of today). This reservation is in a Reserve Class mini-suite with the Premier package (which includes 2 specialty dinners). We have only paid the deposit at this point.  I suspect being RC may play a role.

On the flip side, our Feb 2025 sailing on the Sun is not available to make dining reservations yet.  However the Sun isn't sailing yet, we are in a cabana-mini (not RC) but do have the Premier pkg.  Also only paid the deposit thus far. I don't think we'll be able to make reservations on this cruise until we are paid in full.

If you purchase a non refundable ticket then you can not make a change or cancel. So what then? These people are out thousand of dollars if they don’t have insurance. Stay tune I guess.

Those people learn a valuable lesson to always book a refundable ticket and/or purchase travel insurance.  We as travelers need to control the things that are in our control.  Booking non-refundable flights or hotels is on the traveler, not Princess.

Thank you.  We are booked in F307.  I figured with the TA and port intensive a balcony won't be used much.  We have always wanted to try one of these cabins.  BUT with all I'm reading about roaches in cabins and no AC and plumbing problems.....I'm rethinking 😕

We didn't experience any issues with our cabin a couple weeks ago.  There were some warm spots on the ship but it was extremely hot and humid in the Caribbean.  We found our cabin was too cold at times. We did bring a small rechargeable fan just in case, but didn't need it.  No roaches and no plumbing issues.  The ship is a bit tired in some areas (spa locker rooms to be specific) but mostly she is still a beauty!

I did a quick search here and didn't see a related topic.

I noticed news reports over the weekend discussing the pending UPS strike on July 31st, but it hit me when I received my Princess medallion shipping notice this morning. Yep, the medallions are coming from California via UPS. You can get a replacement at your respective port of departure, but it slows everything down some.

Ours came via Fed Ex for our trip a couple weeks ago and came from overseas.  I'm sure a UPS strike could slow things down for some, but not all.  Hopefully they'll come to an agreement and avoid the strike.

Do you have all suite perks including club class dining?

Yes!  You have all full suite perks!!  The club class, now called Reserve Collection dining was a really nice perk!  No reservations needed and we walked right in every time.  Be sure to book your complimentary specialty dining on embarkation day as well.
