  1. Can all be done in the app.  When you go to book dining, select your date and restaurant, then you will see a pencil icon next to the photos of the people in your cabin, click on that and then on the person + icon at the top right.  Add the other cabin booking # and search.  Once you have linked the booking numbers, you can then make reservations for everyone.  I did this for 2 other cabins and made reservations for 6 with no issues.

  2. Wow, I never would have thought to bring a blood donor card.  I don't even have a physical copy anymore but I was just able to log into my Red Cross account and request a copy - you can either download it or have it mailed.  Thanks for bringing this up, I'll be sure to pack my card for my next cruise!

Interested to understand how that works with the pool .which is half in the Seaview Terrace and half in the Dome. Would a kid be able to swim in the Dome part but not swim through to the Seaview part?

Hopefully they make the Dome adults only during the day.

"Chat" just informed me that you must be paid in full to use those dining credits with Premier.

I did ante up $180 for 2 dining for 2 each on SUN P (final due end of July) and prolly will get refundable OBC for that once onboard.  We wanted specific restaurants at our preferred time.

I am not paid up, do not have status, and am not booked in a suite or RC mini and yet I was able to book specialty dining for our party of 6 for Feb 2025 on the Sun with no upfront cost (we all have the Premier package).  However, when I try to book the 2nd dinner, it wants to charge me $45 for the group (which I know I can get refunded as OBC once on board). I just did this at like 2:00 am this morning - that's what I do when I can't sleep, lol.  The app is so messed up!

  5. We were on our 1st cruise this time last year celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary.  Our TA included that info in our cruise planner and I had confirmed it was in there before we sailed.  We received zero acknowledgement, nothing, zippo, zilch.  We didn't necessarily want people singing to us at dinner or anything but a little message on the screen by our door, perhaps a note or a towel animal in our cabin would have been nice.  We had a great cruise and loved our time onboard, but to be honest, I'm still a bit salty over it.  My recommendation would be to not only make sure it's in your cruise planner, but also drop hints to your room attendant, the bartender, or your wait staff if you want to make sure you are acknowledged.

I am having trouble loading the app. Could something be happening or is the app just being the app?

Mine opens in about 5 seconds. Maybe delete and reload yours.  Also, if your phone is older, that could be an issue as well.  The app has worked much faster since I upgraded my phone recently.

Don't count on the information in the app. Go to the Crown Grill and talk with the Head Waiter as soon as you are onboard. Discuss the allergy with him, and he will tell you what is available. If it weren't the first night, I would say to talk with him the evening before to give them time to prepare. If they aren't able to adequately handle her diet without more notice, you may want to ask him to change your reservation to the next night to give them time.

This!  I have a shellfish allergy and noted it in my planner on the app. One night in the MDR our head waiter brought me a shrimp cocktail for no reason (he was just trying to be nice), so they obviously don't reference the app.  I realized I should have mentioned it each and every time we dined in a new venue (we did 2 specialty dinners) just to be safe.

  8. We booked a cabana for our 30th anniversary on the Caribbean last summer as well as a 1/2 day in loungers on the last day of the cruise.  The cabana comes with 2 loungers in front of the cabana in addition to the sofa and chairs that are in the cabana.  IMO, it is well worth the cost of the cabana which was $220 for a full day.  It came with a bottle of hard liquor and mixer which you don't get with just a lounger.  It is well suited for a group of 4.  Despite the loungers being under the shade sails, we still got sun.  We enjoyed both the cabana and lounge experiences and highly recommend them.  Looking back though, we would have booked the last day in a cabana as well had we known how awesome it was!  If possible, try to get priority embarkation, we had originally booked a RC mini-suite and then upgraded to a window suite (awesome cabin BTW) and were able to board early.  I was the 3rd in line to book the Sanctuary.  Others not too far behind me were denied.  Keep in mind that anyone doing a B2B cruise will have the opportunity to book the Sanctuary before you board. Good luck!

  9. If you're asking whether or not you'll be charged for the gratuities when ordering a drink in your package, the answer is no.  You will not be charged extra.  If you exceed your drink package limit - say you order an $18 drink with a $15 limit in your package, then you'll be charged the additional $3 plus gratuity on the $3 only.  Hope that helps 🙂

"Your real complaint should be that Princess got rid of those other areas on the new class of ship, which again I don't think has anything to do with the conversation here. "

    The two are almost inseparable.

...You guys can question and mis-quote all you want....  but, it is all very clear.

Most every ship has an adult area....  an open access adult area... NOT just the exclusive 'Sanctuary'....    Carnival has open adult areas.

The Sun princess, does not....  Not at all.  No adult only option for the majority of guests.

    That is a huge 'MISS'

Questioning and throwing comments and doubts does not change that.

Again,  we certainly did not book this cruise, months ago, for the Ports....  The biggest draw was the new ship.  Now that the light of day is shining, and the veil has been lifted... It seems that there is no adult area for guests (non-Sanctuary) onboard.  And it also seems that the ship has a totally different vibe, with a lot of large open spaces.. flashing screens, etc...  That is not what we have enjoyed while cruising Princess.   And, the things we might have looked forward to are no-more.

For us, there are other options out there, and we will be considering whether we will cancel our booking.

Anyone is free to have a different opinion.  No need to go after any other person who is commenting.

I wholeheartedly agree with you!  Not having an adult area other than the Sanctuary is incredibly disappointing and would prevent me from ever booking on this ship again.  In fact, if I didn't have 4 others booked with us, I would cancel.  I can only hope that since we are sailing early February that there won't be a bunch of kids onboard.  When we cruised over the 4th of July last summer, we hardly noticed the amount of kids because we stayed in the adult only areas.  If Princess is trying to market to the masses and multi-generational families, I think an adult only retreat is a MUST!  Look at Disney, even they know the adults need a place to go!

I get the RollGlider a bit as it's a lot more complex but the ropes course?  What could possibly be taking so long?

I think once the construction is complete on these items, they not only need to be tested, but inspected and certified for use.  So depending on where that inspection/certification is to take place and when the ship is back at the appropriate port, could be adding to the delay as well.  Just my guess.

Just to clarify...  that is not an 'adult area'...  that is a very exclusive area, that is not available to most guests.   There is no open and available adult area onboard.

That disappoints me so much!  We've only cruised once on the CB last summer and spent all our time in either the Sanctuary or the adult only pool by the Lotus Spa.  I wish there was an adult only area on the Sun - either the Wake View and/or Dome/Sea View area (during the day).  Pretty sure the Sun will be a one and done ship for us.

We are also having the same issue with the app.  When we go to order the medallions it says “unable to load”. There are six of us going and all with different phones.  The problem is not our phones.  When we called Princess we were told we had to use the app to order the  medallions and to give it a couple of days.  That was 2 weeks ago.  Called again and were told exactly the same, use app and wait a few days!

We have been on the phone 4 times, 3 different people and none of us have had any success in getting dining arranged.  Not inclined to book with them again.

If anyone has any suggestions please inform!

We are on October 19th so the fiasco should be in full swing as they are implementing the changes.

I'll pray for you!  We are not on until Feb 2025 so hopefully things will be sorted out by then - but then again who knows what other changes they'll decide to make.

  17. @capriccio With the yesterday's announcement about the Sanctuary Collection, it now clearly shows on the Princess website that the Sanctuary is 16+.

Exclusive access to the Sanctuary Club

This tranquil top-deck space is reserved exclusively for adults (ages 16+). Spend the day in total bliss as you relax poolside with a craft cocktail. Order some bites and beverages from a custom menu, even find your flow with wellness classes. Here, it’s Zen time any time. Especially when you reserve a private cabana.
