  1. And you know this to be true -------- how? I can't tell you how many posts in here from people that say that they do things ALL THE TIME that is against the written "POLICIES". That's not to say that I'm saying that I/we got away with anything.
  2. ?????????? Oh, you mean to get the hell out! I agree.
  3. I know where I stood in line with my grandkids to get their Starbucks frozen drinks. Not me, I don't do Starbucks. They were getting their "frapacrapachino" from Starbucks with their RP, several times a day. If you look at the "POLICY" you've quoted, it does say "inside licensed Starbucks stores". That's a qualifier, kinda like I stated by stating, "Stand Alone".
  4. No way, I've never heard of such a thing! LOL
  5. I didn't think so. I'm wondering how the OP came up with that?
  6. There is a current thread that is talking about how common subject threads should be merged into one or two threads by the mods. And how the search feature sucks and so on. Then we have those that want to add another thread just to make the search feature that much more cluttered. Go figure. I find this thread to be nostalgic but could use some updating, not expansion into a completely separate thread. JMHO BTW, a little humor in here wouldn't hurt either.
  7. I wasn't aware that there was a charge for any entertainment (shows), including Comedy shows. Has that changed, too?
  8. Several years ago, on the Allure we were able to get Starbucks. If I remember it was the "Stand Alone" Starbucks that was included. Things may have changed and probably has. But, it might be worth looking into. My understanding of what "Stand Alone" is/was: A Starbucks that had its own kiosk that is not attached to anything else (other than the floor LOL), like what is on the Allure, et al.
  9. My brother and his now ex-wife (and deceased) had one naturally born child and they adopted from all over the world over 30 children that were disabled and faced certain death because of cultural and/or economic issues. I am not disabled to the point of needing a wheelchair or mobility scooter. So, I can't speak from my personal experience of being disabled like that. But, I have had many conversations with those that are and it ain't a good story and I can fully understand the frustration those folks face on a daily basis. There are far too many able-bodied people that treat the disabled as if they don't even exist and rudeness. But, there is no excuse for anybody, disabled or not, to be rude and to the point of being physical. USUALLY, if you treat people with respect you will get respect back. Yet, some, there is no hope for.
  10. Ain't that the truth! It's unbelievable how some people 1. will trample over you to get to the steam table to get the overabundance of whatever 2. load up their plate to the point of food hanging over the plate and stacked up several inches high as if there is no return. I think some people would be much happier if there were no forks or spoons, just entrenching tools.
  11. Oh man, I can't remember all the names of Slots that I enjoy. But, the one that I really like, I always win at, every time, it only has 3 letters, "ATM". But seriously, my favorite is one that I haven't seen on RCCL, it's the Playboy one that has the Tetrus-type shapes fall into the play area. I usually do well on those. But, I'm not a big gambler. I limit myself to about 50 - 60 dollars a sea day. Needless to say, I don't get the free Casino cruise offers. On the other hand, my wife does.
  12. Okay, I can see that! If that's how they get it, if bartenders are giving away bottles of water with the purchase (thru any beverage package), so be it. But, I don't agree with people getting water or other products to take back to the cabin or anywhere else to give to unauthorized people.
  13. Star class excepted: I believe the intent of the policy is to not have more than one drink/bottle/can at a time in one's possession, including in the cabin. So, I don't believe stocking your cabin is quite kosher or the intent of the policy. It's been my experience that even in Star Class, you can only have one drink or glass of wine delivered to your suite, per person, at a time. Beer, sodas, water, and wine cooler-type drinks are stocked in the suite. When the roving bartender/cart (my term, not sure what he/she was officially called) used to come to the Star Class suites, they would only give one drink or glass of wine per person. YMMV and/or your experience may differ.
  14. A lock is not a bar to entry, it's to keep honest people honest. Those who are dishonest will find a way to defeat the lock and/or the system.
  15. Agreed. But, I believe that a lot has to do with timing, too. It may not be clear at 8:30AM but at 9:30 AM perfectly clear. I, often, go through the Caribbean webcams and note which resorts have a good track record compared to others, and which cities have a good track record to others. I've mostly found, based on the available live webcams, that MOST places that rely on tourists do a good job of removing the seaweed. Perfect, NO! But, I'd say acceptable if you are patient.
  16. All the below are Live webcams screen shots from just minutes ago: St. Maarten Aruba: Cayman Islands
  17. I just sent an email to: skagwayinfo@skagway.org. Asking about this. We'll see if they answer or answer with a straight answer.
  18. Thanks for that. I didn't want to sound too melodramatic. USS Landlock (Officially the USS Desert Ship, we, the Army called it the "Landlock). Neat ship on WSMR.
  19. WSMR was, by far, the best assignment of my military career. I wish I could talk about it here. But, it isn't RCCL related.
  20. I'd like to see that video. BUT, my security software won't let me open it without ignoring the security warning and it also requires me to save it to my file explorer. I won't do that.
  21. I bet that was exciting for you. But, there is nothing like the A-10 firing their Mini Gun just over your head. Sitting in a foxhole, and before you hear the sound, the damn thing has already gone by (that has little to do with speed, but how quiet the thing is. But, yes, speed has a little to do with it). I felt bad for the dope heads, they could never get the rush we would get with some of the experiences I/we experienced. I went to China Lake once to pick up some MLRS for QC/testing at WSMR, and saw a few Harriers doing their thing. They are very kewl.
  22. I used to love watching and participating in field maneuvers in Grafenwhor and Baumholder Germany when the A-10s would do their things. I loved the fighters/bombers too but they were too fast to really enjoy for extended periods of time. The A-10s seemed to work out for up to an hour or so and come back several times a day. I assume they left to refuel and reload. During large NATO exercises, aircraft low-level maneuvers over the NATO countryside was a normal activity. While I was at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM, it was amazing what we were involved with and participated in. WSMR was more than just a missile range. If the entire Navy buzzed a cruise ship that I was on, I'd be one of the first out there giving them the thumbs up. Love it!
