  1. We booked 1100 for an Alaska cruise on the Brilliance for 2024. We are so excited! Would love to hear if you have any recs/tips after your cruise.
  2. Celebrity has Sunset Verandahs. Most other cruise lines would call these rooms Aft Balconies. Maybe RoyalUp is doing a mashup :-)
  3. Sorry, I want to be clear that I'm not specifically questioning the OP. It's just that there are so many errors in this announcement, that I'd be cautious before jumping to conclusions.
  4. I'm going to give you all the credit. I was just notified of your response, and was half way through submitting a ticket from the link you provided, when I remembered that I hadn't actually checked the mail from today. Lo and behold, my Park Pass was waiting for me! I definitely think you got the ball rolling. We have some National Park visits already planned for this summer!
  5. Do you have the link to this announcement? The grammar: "Monday's," "Thursday's" and the fact that NCL doesn't have a "Majestic" leaves me with some questions.
  6. July 2024 is a long time away. It's most likely that My Time bookings haven't opened up in the cruise planner yet. Personally, we have a Feb 2024 cruise booked, and My Time dining reservations opened around the 1 year mark (Feb or March 2023). We also have an August 2024 Alaska cruise planned. When I look at the Dining section of the cruise planner, nothing is populated yet. One last question, you say that you're looking at your "account." Do you mean that you're looking at the Royal Caribbean Cruise Planner, or is it a different "account?"
  7. @mistertomatoe Have you received the National Parks pass? The redemption information is a little confusing. It seems like they will simply send the pass to the address without any further steps? However, I just received an email reminding me to redeem my purchase. Do I need to take any other steps? Thanks.
  8. They were at the bottom of the retail category, after scrolling past all of the bike offers. The Southwest gift card disappeared first, and the Airbnb gift card may have still been available yesterday, but I also see that it's disappeared. No clue whether they'll ever come back. It also seems that they're limiting purchases to just 1 gift card in a 14 day period now (used to be 2)
  9. I think you may be referring to my post regarding the club balcony. I'll confirm that I was actually able to book my dining at 125 days through the app. This was despite the fact that it was telling me to come back at the 120 day mark when I was looking at the app (and on the website) on day 126. I'm also heading to Bermuda, but we'll be on the Pearl. I don't believe the Pearl has any entertainment that can be reserved, so I won't be able to contribute any data points for this part of the question. Good luck and bon voyage!
  10. Not the OP.... Disney offered the Disney+ subscriber discount (free third and fourth passengers) on sailings from January - March, 2023. Excluding the Wish (and some other exclusions). It was first announced in the fall (2022), and you could book it as long as there was still availability. There's no information as to whether it will ever be offered again.
  11. As an impartial bystander, I initially read firefly's post as it was intended. However, I now understand the confusion, and nelblu's interpretation. I think the mixup on nelblu's part was genuine, and I hope that you two can make up :-)
  12. To update this post, my 125 day booking window started today. To my surprise, I was actually able to book my dining reservations, even though yesterday it was still telling me to come back at the 120 day date. I was also able to book a repeat restaurant easily through chat (they don't let you book two reservations for the same restaurants on your own).
  13. Totally respectable choice, and I am 100% in favor of that. I truly hope they're a fun, lively group that brings a high energy vibe to the ship, and that your family will have a (positive) unique experience.
  14. @OrangeCatRamblers any chance you're considering a live blog? I think we're all dying to hear how this cruise works out... And all hoping for the best for you and your family!
  15. Have you linked your account (through Facebook, or whatever method you've previously used)? The big banner that says myVIP REWARDS with my loyalty point total appeared after I reached rank 3.
  16. I'll answer myself.... Haha. I think you just have to reach a level threshold within the Tetris game before the Rewards become available. Perhaps it's Rank 3.
  17. Not to hijack the thread, but I also didn't know that Tetris was active. I just downloaded, and linked my accounts. Unfortunately I don't see anywhere to redeem loyalty points or any "rewards" at all. Do you know where to find the "rewards" in the Tetris app?
  18. Your review is entertaining and informational! Thank you so much for sharing. I don't know that a Star Trek cruise is in our future, but it's really interesting to read about, and learn more about charter cruises.
  19. Guess I'll be on the phone too. Does anyone think this can be accomplished via chat... or best not to risk it?
  20. Hello All. I've booked a few excursions through NCL. After booking these excursion, I'm no longer able to see other excursions that happen during the time of my booked excursions. Is it possible (or does anyone know a way) to see these other excursions? I'd like to see if any other options open up. I know that NCL excursions are often expensive, but we have the FAS+ upgrade so the extra discount makes some excursions cheaper than going direct through the provider. A second question has to do with our restaurant booking window. We have a club balcony/minisuite, so I think our reservation window should open at 125 days. However, both the app and the website is saying to "check back" on a date that would coincide with the 120 day booking window. Have any of you seen this before? Do you think the app/website will allow us to book at 125 days, or do you think we'll have to call to book? Thanks.
  21. It shows up for my Anthem cruise in Feb 2024... Which is beyond the "select sailings" date. I guess we'll see what happens.
  22. We also thought about the iPod route, but found it was a dead end. Unfortunately we haven't been able to validate this yet, but I think there are positive reports using unactivated Tracphones (cheap from target/Walmart/Amazon/bestbuy etc) to communicate on ships. Just download the app at home first (of course).
  23. We're considering giving our son an old phone to use on a ship for exactly this purpose. We haven't done it yet... But we figure we'll delete as many apps as possible, and only connect to the ship's WiFi (in airplane mode). The phone will go away again as soon as we're off the ship. We might have to practice texting beforehand, and come up with some simple codewords to simplify communication. We haven't finalized our plan yet, but this is our current thought process.
  24. 1. DCL definitely releases their schedule later, and in smaller chunks than most of the other cruise lines. I believe there is a sight that has tracked when the schedules have been released in the past, but since COVID, the release dates have not followed the past patterns. I'll post the link here. Hopefully it's allowed: https://disneycruiselineblog.com/cruise-planning/itineraries/itinerary-announcement-history/ It seems they used to be released in mid to late Feb, but last year they were released in April. So they should be released some time between now and then (people are hoping for earlier, of course). 2. Category 8A rooms on the dream and fantasy have 2 TV's (some of the open configurations may not?) Unfortunately, they may have a max occupancy of only 3. I'm not aware of any other standard room categories with 2 TVs. Concierge suites (though not the standard concierge verandas) will have multiple televisions. 3. Yes, I think a majority of cabins are connecting. If you book early, you'll have no problem getting connecting cabins. 4. No drink packages. Each adult can bring 2 bottles of wine or a 6 pack of beer. Each adult can also bring on an additional 2 bottles or 6 pack at each port. Disney offers a wine or beer package of X bottles/cans at a discount over purchasing them separately. They sell a "refillable" beer mug. If purchased, the refills are 20oz for the 16oz price. Their "drink of the day" specials are priced at a good discount. The bars will have a daily happy hour where various beers, wines, and cocktails will be discounted. Sometimes they even offer a little snack buffet. 5. I'm not aware of any "kids sail free" offers. However, they had a Disney+ sale for trips this January - April (not on the Wish, and with some blackout dates for other ships) where they actually offered free 3rd and 4th passengers (applicable to both kids and adults). You had to be a Disney+ subscriber at the time of the booking. The sale was announced in September 2022 (I think) and was only applicable for sailings Jan - April 2023. No one knows whether they'll offer anything similar again. However, if they do a similar offer, it's probably unlikely it would bee applicable for summer sailings. Disney will sometimes offer "guaranteed with restrictions" rates. Usually they're only offered closer to the sail date (around final payment time), and come with a series restrictions as the name implies. Hopefully this helps to get you started.
