  1. Enjoy your cruise. I have a 6 hr connection in Paris (CDG) so not worried about an hour or two delay on my first outbound flight. And I will have access to the newish Air France business lounge in terminal 2F. A very nice lounge from the look of YouTube videos and I'll be sure to partake of the adult beverages offered therein (I'll be on vacation, after all) 🙂
  2. Yes and no. I was already past final payment for the cruise so I had already paid for the flights.
  3. Before I changed my previous EZair itinerary to my current one I too saw ticket numbers for all flights in my personalizer (and in Amadeus). After the change only my outbound flights had ticket numbers in both my personalizer and in Amadeus until I requested slightly early ticketing. EZair works in mysterious ways.
  4. I requested early ticketing about a week and a half ago even though I had up until today to change EZair flights. Checking daily over the last few months I saw prices go only up and up, so I got early ticketing to ensure that I was for sure on my selected flights. My return flight home in on Air Canada (who may be striking just before then) but with a Lufthansa issued ticket. So between LH and EZair I'm hopeful of no big issue getting home should AC actually strike.
  5. This. My non narcotic meds I place in a daily dispenser. My narcotics I keep in the original pharmacy dispensed bottle.
  6. My cruise is in 7 weeks. I'm down 20 lbs of weight in the past few months so I'm good for eating bread. Will likely have only a few desserts and will certainly use stairs when I can.
  7. My AC flights (post cruise) are still showing as unchanged. Fingers crossed I get home, although I hope Princess EZair will step in if my flights are canceled)
  8. I was offered 6 tiers of suite upgrade from a RC mini suite: sky, owner's, penthouse (aft), penthouse, premium, vista. I bid on the lower 3 only
  9. As the saying goes - you learn something every day I was under the impression that I I can allow tethering if my source of data is a cellular connection but not if the source of data is WiFi. Anyone know if Apple phones can tether WiFi to WiFi?

  11. You're not mistaken. I've read in this thread, however, that the RS menu on the app differs (is a subset of) from the RS menu available via the phone. If this is not the case, and the menu on the app is the same as the menu on the phone, then the cost to fully restore what I previously had previously paid for is only $30 ($15 x 2 for Ocean Now).
  12. Same here. Upgrading would cost me $280 (14 day cruise). I'll likely pay $15 x 2 for Ocean Now and then pay the $5 for RS probably a max of 4 times. I was going to try O'Malleys before the changes anyway so my extra outlay will be approx $50 in order to buy back what Princess had originally given me for free. I'll spend $50 less elsewhere on board to compensate (which may seem like a petty move on my part but, hey, Princess drew first blood ....)
  13. It appears that, for some, this is not the accurate way to determine what perks you have. Your travel summary is more accurate. I fell into this "trap" of assuming I had the perks (based on the "upgrade to plus" page) when in fact I don't (I have PLUS-50).
  14. I have the old PLUS-50. My cruise personalizer shows what you see in yours (everything included and no upgrade to PLUS-60 button) but going into Travel Summary I see no indication that I'm getting the new perks, which leads me to believe I'm not. Before this change my cruise personalizer explicitly showed that I was not eligible for desserts nor fitness classes and I'm not sure why PCL changed this - it confuses people at first glance.
  15. I understand the RS charge. Does having a drink delivered to you at, say, poolside also incur the $5 charge?
  16. Prior to this change my personalizer explicitly showed that (with PLUS50) I did not have the desserts nor fitness classes and showed a button to click should I want to upgrade. Now there is no button to click and there is an indication that I have the $60 package. That is the inconsistency
  17. I made the same observation upthread. More inconsistent messaging from PCL it seems.
  18. I will likely pay for app activation but I will certainly make up for it by spending a little less elsewhere. I don't see me using RS more than once or twice. For me it's not really about the $ as much as the services that were implied/promised to be free when I booked that are no longer going to be free.
  19. I suspect original perks means the perks that were explicitly associated with the package. I don't believe free food at Alfredos was a part of either PLUS or PREMIUM
  20. Seems so. Looks like I'll be paying $15 x 2 for the app activation and $5 per room service delivery. Not the greatest surprise I've ever had but it still beats paying an extra $10/day/person x 14 days ($280) to "upgrade" to the current PLUS. I'll just spend (lose) a little less at the casino to make up for it.
  21. So for those of us who bought PLUS @ $50 then this is a downgrade (losing free RS)
