  1. That’s a great idea! Didn’t know that no-commission Baccarat is even possible!
  2. I am looking forward to seeing the answers to your question!
  3. I would be VERY happy to play single zero roulette at higher denom especially if i can cover my bets…… So here’s my rationale - I’m trying to churn casino points / casino spend while minimizing downside volatility to my bankroll. I’m not looking to win money from the casino - I’m looking to make it back from the comps (cruises/drinks) I get from the play…….
  4. Nope - just hadn’t got a response posting on other cruise line forums……
  5. Thanks for the reminder but was thinking of regular chips……
  6. Not sure about your last comment cos the house edge is actually the same whether you bet red/black all the time or if you bet Red AND Black. But yes, it is a guaranteed loss strategy……
  7. This betting approach ie betting both sides is a guaranteed loss 2/38 rolls in the long run but the benefit is lower bankroll volatility/variance than betting red/black/odd/even only.
  8. Hi everyone! When getting rated by the pit boss at the roulette tables, does the pit boss look at what you bet or just the size of your bets ie does it make a difference if you bet $50 on red/black vs $25 each on Red AND Black?

  10. Well I think they’re starting to set up their Casino loyalty program so maybe they may give you some comps for a lower level of play……
  11. Just FYI my survey of the cruise lines VP is showing that JoB is 6/5 at 0.25 denom almost across the board…… So it does sound, at this point, that NCL has the best paytables for VP among all the cruise lines…… what I do like for VP is that, like slots, you can see the points you accrue on VP vs table games. The points you get on VP is also very much more transparent vs table games where the rating is by the pit boss and pretty subjective…
  12. That’s what I heard as well. Do present a comprehensive review after your cruise!
  13. I meant slots players vs table players. Virgin isn’t using a casino as their USP - it’s there just to ‘tick the box’ IMO
  14. i am Diamond on RCL and most recently sailed my first time ever on the Carnival Vista (balcony). My view is that RCL is great if you are an investor (in their stock) - there is so much up selling going on all the time by RCL staff and you need to upgrade to specialty dining + drinks package etc. if you’re going to have a decent experience nowadays. (My last RCL sail was in April on Allure) But Carnival is great for regular customers cos we had very good meals without specialty dining. In fact I could not see why people on Carnival would pay for Specialty dining when they could access most of the specialty dining venues for free at lunch. Bottom-line: Picking the right cruise line matters. PS. For foodies, I have seen very good reviews for Virgin Voyages - they have done away with specialty dining and instead specialty dining becomes the norm.
  15. I think Carnival’s prices on interior and OV especially on their older ships are lower. Balcony rooms on their newer ships are pretty close to RCL and NCL at this time.
  16. Or sail lines like Carnival. No single supplement like RCL. And if you’re not too fussy about food, Carnival’s ‘included’ food offerings are far better than RCL.

  19. Can anyone update what are the current VP pay tables for NCL, especially for JoB?
  20. For Carnival you’re right that you only get 8000 coins if you play 10 coins. But if you play 5 coins you get the standard 6/5 payout ie RF 4000 coins.
  21. BP = Bonus Poker BP Dlx = Bonus Poker Deluxe DW = Deuces Wild DB = Double bonus DDB=Double Double Bonus poker.
  22. I believe this is the paytable for DDB VP. As far as I can tell, it is now 7/5 instead of 8/5. Any changes for the rest of the games? Is JoB still 7/5?
  23. I have been trying to research VP JoB pay tables on the various cruise lines. Based on what I have seen on Carnival Vista and what I have found on CC, here is the info I have obtained right now: (Correct as at 15 Sep 2022) Carnival : 6/5 (5% House edge) Celebrity: (Single-line) Modified 7-5 (8.6% HE) ; Multi-line 6-5 (5% HE) RCL: 6/5 (5% HE) 0.25 denom ; 8/5 (1.4% HE) $10/25 denom Anyone has info for Princess? Thanks in advance!
