  1. I have been trying to research VP JoB pay tables on the various cruise lines. Based on what I have seen on Carnival Vista and what I have found on CC, here is the info I have obtained right now: (Correct as at 15 Sep 2022) Carnival : 6/5 (5% House edge) Celebrity: (Single-line) Modified 7-5 (8.6% HE) ; Multi-line 6-5 (5% HE) RCL: 6/5 (5% HE) 0.25 denom ; 8/5 (1.4% HE) $10/25 denom Anyone has different info for the above? Any info for NCL (heard it was 99% for $25 denom), Princess, MSC and Holland America? Thanks in advance!
  2. When rating your play at roulette, do pit bosses care what you bet on? Or whether you hedge? Eg. $50 Red/Black vs $25 on Red and Black?
  3. Can confirm on the BJ info and craps info based on what I just saw on Carnival Vista in Aug 2022. Can I assume that there is no website / CC resource thread that lists the Table games / VP / slots available on specific cruise lines / cruise ships?
  4. This system sounds like it’s identical to Carnival which means if you want to play BJ (after playing slots) you can go to the table and tell them you want to take money from your casino bank. (Money from your casino bank that you had funded as outlined in the post above). On Carnival that’s the method to avoid the 3% fee for taking money directly from your account at the tables. Not sure if there is a similar fee for Princess.
  5. And I think around 4 VP machines in a smoking section…….
  6. No problem if it is printed. No phones allowed at the table.
  7. URComped currently only works with RCL, Celebrity, Virgin and MSC….. so you probably need to try to contact NCL’s Casino at Sea to see if they will match your RCI offers…… but URComped can help if you wanna try Celebrity, Virgin or MSC. Good luck!
  8. So does that mean that the points accrued from playing table games are never reflected in the points seen when you insert your S&S card at the slots? Cos I never saw that during my cruise. Is there a way to ‘keep track’ of how many points you are accruing playing table games similar to slots / VP? Ask a casino host?
  9. I was recently on the Carnival Vista and noticed that I never got points playing table games like BJ and Craps even though I had my card swiped and bought in for about 200-300 each time. Admittedly I wasn’t very lucky and didn’t play more than an hour each time at $10-15 per bet but am wondering what I should do to maximize chances to get credit for playing at table games. Or should i not bother and just play VP / slots which tracks points much more accurately?
  10. I think it's YMMV......I have seen the 100 OBC applied for Carnival and Princess casino comped cruises...... because a casino-comped cruise is technically not a free cruise - the Players Club actually buys the room from Sales......
  11. Technically you should have been given a 1099 (W2G) if you are a US citizen but I have heard that not every cruise line is compliant with IRS requirements.
  12. Does anyone know what is the house edge for VP Jacks or Better on MSC? For reference, Carnival is 6/5 J0B (5% house edge) while Celebrity JoB VP is about 92% (they only pay even money for 2 pairs).
  13. Does anyone know if the house edge for Celebrity VP improves with different/higher denoms? Otherwise it seems that it would be better to play craps, BJ or even roulette then.....
  14. 98.6% for JoB for $10 or $25 denomination? That’s not bad for churning points…..
  15. This is a question for VP players on RCI: I just came from a Carnival vista cruise where the Video Poker Jacks or better Paytable is 6/5 (5% House edge). Anyone know what it is for JoB on RCI ships? Thanks in advance!
  16. And if you are savvy enough, you can sell call options monthly with your holding of 100 shares. This can provide you with dividend-like returns while you hold the stock and collect your OBC.
  17. Thanks so much! Yes - i should be enrolled to receive marketing emails - I did get the emails from MSC Upgrade previously and upgraded to YC on 2 previous cruises.
  18. I’ve just booked an Oceanview 7 day cruise in Mar 2023 that was comped through my Local casino (Ocean Casino AC). Are such casino comped rooms eligible for the MSC Upgrade program? If yes, when will we expect to receive the MSC Upgrade emails? If no, any way we can get the booking onto the MSC Upgrade list?
  19. Hi there, Could I have a sense of how much you gambled during that one cruise? Above 1k/2.5k/5k/10k/10k+?
  20. Yes I have heard that for Carnival table games you only gets comps if you have losses vs slots. When you say $500 each a session is this like $500 a day for a 7 day cruise?
  21. Ok so I can sit at a BJ table and ask them to take money from my players bank after I cash out from playing a slot - that would save me the 3% then? Sounds good if that’s the case!
  22. It's going to be my first Carnival cruise next week so this is a bit of a newbie question. I am buying some CruiseCash for my account which I understand will be credited to my S&S account once the cruise starts. Will I be able to pull this into my casino account (for slots at no fee) or get this (with 3% fee) at the casino tables? Assuming I can pull $100 into my casino account through the slots at no fee, can I go to the casino tables and ask for $50 in chips to play (and get around the 3% fee) or can this $100 in my casino account only be used at the slots? Thanks in advance!
  23. I'm going on my first ('comped') Carnival cruise end next week which I received by matching my land-based casino status to the Carnival Players Club. In order to keep the cruise offers flowing (I don't seem to see any more emails from Carnival Players Club after I booked my cruise), what should I be looking to play per day and for how long? I generally play BJ / craps and avoid the slots..... Does the concept of ADT apply in the Carnival casino?
