  1. Ship, Class, Deck, Stateroom, and Category - Sun Princess / Sphere Class / Deck 11 / Stateroom 11354 / Deluxe Balcony Connects With Cabin # - n/a Accessible – No Quiet - Yes Balcony Size – Oversized. Plenty of room for two chairs, a small table and to move around. View – Normal Privacy Issues – None Wind - No Soot - No Problems – The bathroom size seemed smaller than on the Sky Princess. It would be because it wasn’t at an angle and it has a glass door on the Sun Princess. When you open the shower door, it gets tight. And it’s nearly impossible to change your clothes inside the bathroom without the main door open (we are not large sized people). Comments – For some reason on the Sun Princess, when others let their cabin door slam shut, the walls of your cabin will rattle and it’s very loud. Also we were under the impression that the extra bed for the 3rd passenger was a couch. But it dropped down from the ceiling which is something we were trying to avoid. The balcony in the cabin overlooked two other decks of balconies, so you could look right down and see others. But this balcony was the first one of stacked balconies, so no one was looking down on us. Closet size is amazing. Plenty of room for clothes and shoes. Lots of hangers, drawers and shelves (enough for 3 people). You no longer get slippers in non-suite cabins though. Room size seemed tighter than other ships. The balcony size was great.
  2. Traveling in your 30s and 40s with your family isn’t entitled. Baby Boomers did the same thing. And no I’m not a Millennial but I don’t understand the idea that Princess is only for a certain group of people. Princess and the Carnival Corporation are a business. If they’re not evolving for new customers they become obsolete. The amount of people on CC who complain about them changing or trying new things gets to be a bit much.
  3. There are 2 slides on either side on deck 19. Large metal ones that come from the top of Park19 where the aerial obstacle course is. They are not water slides; just basic slides that you’d see in a playground but gigantic sized. They are not currently in operation (just got off Sun Princess today) and no one can (or will?) say when Park19 will open.
  4. Sky Princess has at least 3 washers and 3 dryers in each and, if I’m remembering correctly, has 2 laundry rooms per floor. For half the number of guests than the Sun Princess.
  5. There’s definitely a medallion like reader on the front of them, so something must have happened. Another thing to add to the list of things on the Sun that aren’t working as they’re supposed to be.
  6. The lockers in the Enclave on the Sun Princess do NOT lock. I am currently on and used the area. The staff is very emphatic about saying not to leave valuables in the lockers because of this. You can open any locker and see people’s personal belongings inside.
  7. If they’re ordering sodas, smoothies or coffees, then yes, they need to pay tips just like adults ordering a beer at the bar.
  8. Yes but only to a certain age IMO. 0-10 should get a discount. 10-17 should be the same price as adults. I think another solution is there should be a non-alcoholic Plus plan for kids and those adults who don’t drink or don’t mind paying for the few alcohol drinks they want.
  9. 1 iron and 1 board in each laundry room. Also ridiculous.
  10. Currently on the Sun Princess and truly shocked how they thought putting one laundry room with only 2 washers and 2 dryers on each floor would accommodate all of these passengers. All day and night you have to wait in line to wash clothes. Add to it that the machines are currently free makes it even worse. Oh and no chairs to wait in! Hope they rectify this very soon.
  11. Park19 won’t be operational in June. Disappointed as we’ll be on the cruise this coming Saturday. And a bit surprised there’s no sports courts!
  12. Respectfully disagree 🤷🏾‍♀️
  13. Anyone with a trip planned should investigate the sale pricing. My travel agent said she was told by Princess that it goes through the end of June. We're scheduled for a holiday cruise at the end of 2025, and the TA was able to cancel our original booking and rebook us in the same cabin, saving us almost $1400. Lost our $200 OBC promo with the original booking, but I have stock so will get half of that back.
  14. We sail on the Sun Princess in a little over a week (half way through your trip - we board in Athens), so excited to follow along. If you can post a few Patters during the first week, that would be much appreciated. I know some have been posted previously, but things on the ship keep changing. Enjoy your trip!
  15. Same! On our first cruise we figured we’d just go to the bars to pick them up, but it was annoying when you wanted one first thing in the morning or needed a little water in the middle of the night and we had forgotten to grab one. For $7, it’s a better deal than in the grocery store. And I don’t have to lift them!
  16. Tip for anyone else who might live in an apartment - never use the second line of the address box to put your apartment/condo number into. A lot of mail systems will leave it off when the label is printed for some odd reason. What I do is put my apartment number on the first line next to my street address. That way, when they print out the label, the entire thing will show up.
  17. Just saw this on the Sun Princess excursions for Bar, Montenegro and started laughing. Why would I pay $60/pp to take myself around town? No way is that price worth a brief orientation. Has anyone else ever seen a self-guided excursion?
  18. No, only mentioned the upcoming month. I’d be curious if Princess even knows right now past a month-to-month basis but wanted to respect them sharing what they did by not asking a bunch of questions.
  19. Lately the app hates everyone. Can't believe such a large company hasn't rectified all the issues that have been going on with an app that people rely so much on.
  20. I have a connection to someone who works in corporate Princess (I don't want to say the department they work in or how I know them, but they are very much in the know via their job title). They've told me that Park19 won't be open in June. Very disappointing.
  21. I now cannot log into the app with my booking number or with my email and password. I've had nothing but issues with the app for about 2 months, but this takes the cake. I sail in 2 weeks and am starting to wonder if it will even work while onboard right now. Anyone else having the same issues? And anyone who's onboard now, is the app working for you?
  22. Yes, I did that already but there aren’t any specific answers other than saying that Kotor has been dropped by the Sun Princess or saying there isn’t much to do in Bar. I was hoping to hear from someone who has been on the Sun Princess lately. Not sure what other cruise lines are currently sailing there. Since I’m not getting any responses and not finding anything, I’ll have to assume there isn’t much to do than wander around to see shops and restaurants. Once we take our trip in June I’ll update this to help anyone else headed there in the future.
  23. Does anyone have suggestions of specific things to do when in Bar, Montenegro? We'll be on the Sun Princess in a few weeks, and its itinerary has changed from Kotor to Bar. When I try to research, I'm not finding much. So, any suggestions about the port, museums, places to eat, etc. that we can do in Bar would appreciated.
  24. Kotor has been removed from the Sun Princess itinerary for the rest of the summer: My family sails in mid-June and we were notified by our travel agent of the change about 2.5 weeks ago.
