I see that it's been before Covid since much information has been posted here, and am not sure what is open, running, and in good shape. I had planned on taking a cab to Sand Castle Resort, but see that it is now $40 per person, which is a little much for a small beach and a couple of older lounge chairs, so I wondered if there was something a bit nicer (or more affordable) that you recommend. We need a restaurant, shade, beach, maybe some snorkeling, and probably only for a few hours. Would love your recommendations.

I saw on their website it had jumped from $20 to $40 per person since my last visit before covid. Wasn't sure if it was worth $80 per couple in our group. Now that I know for sure that is the rate, I may look for something else. The property was not in that great of shape, and the bathroom was dark, dank, and not that clean. Food was good, but you couldn't even use the pool. For that much money, I hope we can do better. Looking for suggestions.

The calendar for San Juan cruise ships I used to use no longer is available. If anybody has one, I would be grateful. In the past, I've been surprised by docking at the Pan American dock on Celebrity which screwed up my excursion, and this time I am on Virgin Valiant, so hoping to avoid surprises. If anyone knows for certain, please advise.

I am going to be on the Valiant January 28, and she stops in San Juan on the 31st. I cannot seem to find a calendar anywhere that will tell me whether Virgin stops in Old San Juan or Pan American cruise port - makes a big difference on booking off-cruise line excursions. Thanks for any assist!

Last year on Divina, we did not have a boarding pass or any documentation. We booked too late to get it done. However, we did have the documentation required such as passports, vaccination status, negative tests. The lady at the door, checked her computer and found us and let us in. I wouldn't count on it, but that was November, 2021.
