  1. Interesting. I was in an XL Sea Terrace and the layout is the opposite of this (Bed closer to the bathrooms). I wonder why they made the change?
  2. And in my case, absolutely no traffic getting to the terminal as most other lines have more or less finished embarkation.
  3. They just announced a small $5 million remodel of the terminal to speed things up and to hold them over until one of the cruise lines has money to partner with them for a more ambitious remodel. https://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/business/story/2023-03-03/san-diegos-aging-cruise-ship-terminal-on-b-street-getting-first-major-makeover-in-40-years
  4. I hope so too! However after talking with some of the crew that I made friends with, they said that there are no plans to go to the west coast at this time. I don't know about LA, but here in San Diego, ships have been sailing at or above the capacity for all of this season. My friend does security at the port and is briefed on the numbers two days before sailings. Virgin's "Vibe" is very SoCal. I think they would do great.
  5. You can also "friend" other sailors on the app which will allow you to add them to dining reservations yourself.
  6. They had all of this on my voyage last week. It was a blast! Sparkling wine was pouring hard😀 Such a great way to get the party started. Be sure to hit the PJ party the first night too.
  7. Yep! I made a reservation for each night at the times were available and then once on board I adjusted the times to earlier. It's also once you get onboard that you can make brunch reservations at Razzle Dazzle and the Wake. Honestly though, we probably could have just walked in. It might depend on how many sailors are on your cruise.
  8. I just got off from an 8 night on the Valiant Lady that I booked only 10 days before the trip. I, like you was stressed as the only reservations that were available for restaurants were after 9:00pm, which according to the schedule would be during the nightly shows. After getting onboard everything changed. Many more reservations opened up and the daily schedule changed COMPLETELY. It took ten minutes to sort everything out and the rest of my trip was ultimate relaxation. I was able to book the times for dinners and shows for everything I wanted and the flexibility remained throughout the trip (8 nights). The only thing that I was not able to get reserve was "Shot for Shot" mixology class. I have heard that this is the first thing to sell out on every sailing. To be honest, we probably could have walked into any show or restaurant without reservations as there were only 1500 sailors on board. Just book something as a place holder for now and when you get on you can make adjustments.
