  1. No issues getting in ahead of schedule - just be sure all your docs are in order and you completed the online check Safe travels- enjoy your cruise!
  2. Yes, there is always a SF ice cream offered in Lido, usually listed on the sign, but if not just ask. Not sure about the Gelato bar.
  3. I love Dr Pol. DH cannot watch the show - he grew up on a farm and says his days of looking at the business end of animals is behind him.
  4. I wonder if rotating them throughout the fleet is a factor in HALs request the list not be published.
  5. Same - I think I've had refunds more frequently than not. Not large amounts, but we get them.
  6. I lost - unless it was due to Supervisor QA check. Stewart may need a break now.
  7. Huge days - female genital mutation is barbaric. 😪 Pass on the meal, never been to the port. More PT - shoulder is really sore today. Next surgeon appt is Valentines Day; hopefully I will get a plan that day. TV box decided it didn't want to work last night; light comes on but nothing happens. Reset it and still nothing. I didn't have the patience to call for troubleshooting or plug in an Amazon stick so we're using regular OTA channels. That will go on the list and hope to get to it this weekend. Currently nippy 39° headed to 68° with rain moving back in this weekend. RIP Toby Keith. Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  8. I had not heard that, but did know he was not doing well. He will be missed. RIP.
  9. Very nice, especially for a replacement. Look forward to the video. Glad to hear you're blessed w/amazing sights.
  10. That kind of thing can put a fog over an otherwise terrific cruise. Maybe it's time to tape a big "do not let door slam" sign up. And put in a maintenance request to have it adjusted; they should be able to make it a softer, slower close.
  11. I remember having assigned times pre-covid because of seeing the large clusters of people. The later times filled in the vacancies left when earlier times were called. Our first few sailings post-covid there was an obvious absence of clusters (granted less people). A silver lining, if you will, is times mostly disregarded and the waiting minimized.
  12. Yikes @Denise T good you were able to locate the fuse. That burnt smell is awful. Hope you find a new stove quickly.
  13. Port workers in San Diego 🙄
  14. Haven't had chocolate fondue in years and won't be making any, but I do enjoy it, so I'll eat a couple pieces of chocolate we brought back from Rome on our TA. Maybe on the meal, drink (once I know what it is) and wine. The pictures from Montreal are on my computer and I'm on my phone, so none to share, but it is a lovely city. Last there Oct 2022 on BHB Canada New England cruise, 1 week after hurricane Fiona. More PT today and tweaking a training guide I've been working on. While the guide itself is easy to do, it's time consuming w/a lot of graphics, made more difficult by left eye being blurry. The sinus headache does not help. Ugh. Currently 50° headed to 63° w/no rain. The backyard will take forever to dry out - I think the dogs bring in as much mud as they leave out. Cannot even see the concrete on the patio - just mud. @seagarsmoker have a great first day at the new job!! Prayers and positive thoughts for all.
  15. Attentive Stewart!! My DH doesn't even notice things like that 😕
  16. Which can well add to the madness at San Diego port. 🙄 later is better
  17. Consider also that you can send out laundry the last couple days so you are taking home mostly clean clothes thus making unpacking after so much easier.
  18. Stateroom selection and OBC (when offered).
  19. Yes, they're different; I think a few years ago the one on Embarkation Day may have been referred to as a Mariners Lunch 🤔but not now. As said, everyone that boards in time is welcome to have lunch in MDR2 on Embarkation Day. It's typically served 12-1:30, could vary by ship. Mariners Lunch will be later on a sea day; there may even be more than 1 depending on the number of Mariners onboard. This is invitation only w/a different menu.
  20. Let the timer begin. I'm saying never, or when a supervisor points it out during a check. Sept on Venezia we had 14 boxes of tissues & 16 rolls of TP - they were stacked up in the space between the wall & sink (yours doesn't have that but picture the sink "dresser" on Venezia) and in the window so we could use underneath for storage. We were 2 people.
  21. I'm starting w/o the late comer, they can catch up. I prefer my drink fresh the way it was made, not watered down.🤔
  22. Drink package does not work at HMC when crusing on Holland America - not for water, soda, alcohol - nada
