  1. Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉 🎈 🎁 @Tbay bday-905.mp4
  2. @ottahand7 congratulations to your DN - such a beautiful picture. @Denise T Fancy is quite a cutie - definitely looks to be living a hard life; you need to give that baby some more love, lol.
  3. Bon Voyage @luvteaching I hope your friend enjoys AK.
  4. @RMLincoln safe travels - enjoy your cruise 🛳 and birthday 🎂 🥳 I'm sure you've got some good 😴 💤 in your future - cruise ships are the best for rocking me to sleep ☺️
  5. @StLouisCruisers the stocking looks very nice. I wouldn't change the design and would keep the smile, but I'm sure it's going to be lovely whichever way you decide to complete it.
  6. On MSC, which I'm doing next week for the first time, they say 1 device is 1 device.. period. There's no logging out of one and back in on another; if you want to use multiple devices, regardless of the user log in, you have to buy a multi-device plan. I bought just a single device plan, so, we'll see how that works. I miss HAL already, lol.
  7. I never tried to use the electronic boarding pass - I have always just given the printed one I received in my cabin. I've used the service on American & Alaskan Air, not Delta, but I showed as checked in each time on both airlines. I've used it as recently as May '23 on American in Seattle and Jan '24 on American in FLL. I'm TSA precheck, DH is not. I go through my security line, he goes through his w/no issues.
  8. Posting on the port page or your Roll Call (if there is one) might get you more traction. Sorry I can't help - we didn't do any of those excursions when we went to Europe.
  9. Hi, again! Luggage Direct is the program you're looking for. No, you do not have to book through the cruiseline to use it, but you do have to fly on one of the participating airlines. It's free in Seattle because the cover the cost of it. No need to sign up ahead - you'll receive a form in your cabin to fill out and your plane tickets & luggage tags will be delivered to your cabin if you're approved. They also check you in for your flight so there's no need for you to do that. Here's more info directly from the source: https://www.portseattle.org/page/port-valet-enjoy-seattle-luggage-free We get off w/those cattying off luggage if we have an early flight and get off later if we eat breakfast first; never have an issue getting off at our convenience (you are technically allowed since you're not claiming any luggage). We love it and use it every year when we cruise AK. FWIW, it's also available in FLL and works great.
  10. I have that issue for any type of OBC and for adding HIA to casino rates - no matter who I call, the answer is no.
  11. I'm excited for you!! We have been blessed to have whales join us for breakfast, watch a mama bear teaching her 3 cubs to fish, and watch otters play all from the comfort of an aft cabin. No wildlife in these pictures (they're all on my computer now), but these are some deck 4 and deck aft views.
  12. We get the free upgrade on Princess, not on HAL.
  13. Do you mind sharing what that location was? I thought mine was the gap by the dishwasher hose, but we've still found some after sealing that off. 🤞you've successfully evicted all of them.
  14. CPP cost is dependent upon the cruise cost including flights if you used FE (as well as length). $798pp cruise fare should not be anywhere near $329pp, even for platinum. Something is definitely off. Rather than being subjected to the beat down of a phone call, you may be able to get that resolved using the chat feature.
  15. @xenna with the fairly recent shift to not making 3/4 "head" cabins available to parties of 2 (or 1), you will very likely see less cabins available. If you change your pax count to 3, for example, you'll probably see more cabins and they'll be different than what you saw when you entered 2 pax. I frequently direct bookings online if the cabin I want shows available. I've also booked w/a TA as well as using a HAL PCC.
  16. Last night's sleep was in between the previous 2 nights at 4.5 hours. Seems that's been my normal for decades. I would love 6 hours. I have a call this morning w/another HR person; she was recommended by the one who called me a few days ago 🤔 I'm so ready for the allergy test tomorrow - I need to get back on the allergy meds. I popped a rib out last night when I sneezed and it hurts to breathe, sit or lay down. The air machine is helping, but I still have painful pressure around my eyes and feel it in my teeth, plus still sneezing. I'm a mess 🙄 And I need to have a day or 2 of meds in me before boarding the flight for my MSC cruise.⛴️ @StLouisCruisers would love to see your stocking again when you're able to share a picture. Hugs 🫂 🤗 and prayers 🙏 for you and your family today @Heartgrove as you say goodbye to Sam 💔 Safe travels @RMLincoln as you prepare to leave for your exciting birthday cruise. Prayers 🙏 and positive thoughts for all.
  17. https://thetravelinlobster.com/ Very casual place - my sister liked. I don't eat seafood, so I don't have a vote. https://bhlobster.com/ And DH liked this place. Right across the street from where the tender docks, are a couple more traditional places. We did not eat at the restaurant closest to the tender dock.
  18. Welcome to HAL! In AK, we prefer the lower decks to get as close as possible to the water. Yes, there is an ability for those above to see part of the deck below, but it's not the full deck - we sit back closer to the door so only when we're standing at the rail would we be visible. Since we consider the aft cabins to be the best location, we'll take any deck if our preferred deck isn't available. We do enjoy the views from Exploration Central when going through Glacier Bay. It's a walk from the aft cabin, but it's worth it for another perspective. These are from the Eurodam last May. And, of course, the Dutch Pea Soup that's served that day.
  19. Thank you @Sharon in AZ for the Corfu Cat picture - it reminded me I forgot to post ours. Of course, we saw many 🐈 it's 🇬🇷 In honor of Int'l Cat Day, I'll share a few we saw during the lunch stop in Corfu - kitties were hungry, but polite; they waited to get on the table until we had finished eating 🫣 I think this one looks like my sweet boy - Corfu Greek kitty American kitty Here's the lady filling our wine bottles
  20. Watch says I slept more last night; over 5 hours We visited Corfu Nov 1 '23 on the NS This is what we drove (self drive, caravan style) up windy mountain roads The streets were narrow, the views fabulous (in between the fog) Time to stretch our legs - I'm sure this place was quite stunning "back in its day" View from the potty break place - they had awesome baklava This is where we had lunch And this is the wine we enjoyed - brought home a couple bottles (now gone) Seaborne was in port with us that day Bye bye Corfu Departing view from our balcony Headlines from home that day - TX Rangers win the series!! DH said if he'd known all it took for them to win was for him to go to Europe, he'd have gone sooner. I volunteered to go every year - I'll take one for the team 😎
  21. Nieuw Statendam definitely has a chair at the pool - the ship was made fully ADA compliant during last year's dry dock.
  22. I plan on doing one on what may well be the final AK cruise of the season - Sept 28 - Oct 5. My thought is people planning for future cruises may be interested in excursions, wildlife sightings, weather etc during that time frame. I haven't found a lot for those dates as the season has typically ended before then. And is there really such a thing as too many pictures of AK? 😎
  23. You can buy day passes at the spa - I'd go there soon after boarding. There's usually a dining podium near the spa, so if you have a need to visit it, you can accomplish both.
