Update to this - checked today. No GTY cabins available to book, but absolutely wide open for 4 people in boardwalk and some available now for Central Park too. More than double the price of what we paid for any balcony now though, mind you…

Agreed with others. It’s one thing for the price to go up. It’s another thing for the price to go up, while the service level goes down. Just sucks that this happens now with so many aspects of life. I guess at least they do daily cleaning of the rooms, unlike hotels now.

I just paid for it for a 6 day cruise for me & my husband. Was 30% off, came to $1374 with grats. For a 7 day next year we’re at $1552, that’s BOGO 50% off. So expensive!!!

Interesting. We are booked for symphony on January 7th in 3 balcony guarantees. Looking now for a 2 person cabin the only option is a boardwalk, Central Park, or gty. No option to book an OV cabin on their website (or Costco). for the cabin with 4 people there are only 5 boardwalks, 2 central parks and quite a few OV balconies. So curious where we’ll all end up. I wonder if they’re holding cabins back or if it’s just an almost full sailing!

Thanks! I just booked the la Quinta airport but it’s refundable so I have options! We’re Canadian so it sucks that not only have the prices jumped, we need to add roughly 35% on top of everything because our dollar is so low now! Ahhh, such is life. Just counting the days to vacation! 😃

Bump, looking for a January FLL hotel too. There will be 8 of us in 2 rooms and prices seem super high. Don’t want to stay in a dump, but at the same time it’s only one night. We’re flying in from Seattle Jan 6 and cruising out Jan 7. Airport shuttle and breakfast would be great. Hoping we can find something reasonable!

… yes, but the NCL package gives you a drink package, gratuity, wifi etc. this is just a fee increase on something that we had already budgeted for with no additional benefit. Am I missing something here? 😂

How is the NCL premium package cost comparable to an increase in fees?

We sail on January 7th and stop in Nassau. There’s 8 of us traveling in 2 cabins. Haven’t heard anything yet, but this sucks!! Some people in here are seeing big increases!

We stayed there before a trip to Vegas last August. No complaints. Nothing fancy, but the staff were nice!

I’ve just been logging in to see if it says a cabin number instead of GTY. Not sure if it works with early assignments or not, but it’s fun to check 😂 helps count down the days until vacation!

That’s quick! How far out were you booking? We have 3 gty cabins for the same cruise (Jan 2024) so I have lots to check daily to waste time at least! Haha 😀

I just paid $1482CAD for a 6 day cruise for 2. Last year I paid $1313 for a 5 day including drink package and Wi-Fi. Crazy!!

Symphony on January 7 I just booked a ‘balcony guarantee’ but when I called in to finalize it, he said it was a neighbourhood one. A OV gty would be about $800 more. So not sure if that means for sure neighbourhood or if they could upgrade it. I’m fine with either!

I used ‘discover’ on two new bookings. Think it was about $60 in savings

Curious to hear about early cabin assignments with gty balconies! Just booked symphony for January 2024 balcony gty for 4. There are only 2 Central Park, and 9 boardwalk cabins showing as available right now, but a ton of ocean view cabins. I’ve seen some stories about early cabin assignment, is that really a thing? This is my first time booking gty, but was worth it to save well over $1200!

Anyone know of a good hotel in Seattle with parking?

She called me back after to reiterate it was for new bookings only. Is there any way for me to differentiate online if a promo is for new bookings or not? It’s not even a significant price or anything so not worth wasting more time on the phone, but still annoying that it’s not available. It was always super easy to have things refared in the past, especially when booking early.

Does Royal no longer offer price drops before final payment date? It’s nothing significant but I noticed that the price dropped $30 on a booking we just made a week ago. I called to apply it and they’re saying it is for ‘new bookings only’. Cruise isn’t until next April so we are well outside of final payment date. Should I try calling back or is this just more the the new normal with Royal Caribbean? TIA 🙂
