Oh good news

Please no harsh comments just looking for an answer. Is there a designated smoking area on Allures Suite Sun deck? I saw a post from 2016 that there was but rules change. I know there’s an area on pool deck and one other place aside from half the casino. Thanks in advance.

:D:DI just wanted to let you all know what a good experience I had with the Lost and Found Department on NCL. We discovered that we lost our brand new Canon camera on our Epic sailing 2/17-24/2018. I filed a claim right away when I realized that it was left behind somewhere on the ship (maybe in our cabin or the Garden Cafe). The bad thing was that it had no identification on it, so when I filed the claim, I was only able to tell them that it was a Canon camera in a black case with an SD card inside. Needless to say, I expected to hear nothing back.
I was told that I would hear something within 10 days...I heard nothing! A week ago I called guest services, and a very nice lady explained the lost and found process and told me not to give up hope...she said that I should be hearing from them soon. Well, yesterday I received a phone call that the camera was found! I had to identify it for them by some of the pictures on it, and it is on its way back to us. Happy ending to the lost camera. Kudos to NCL for finding it for us!

Awesome. I had left my iPad in my cabin on breakaway. They found it sent it back to me.

Does anyone really think that ncl would allow this? Really? Oh sure...that won't blow a fuse will it. lol

That’s what I thought. Naughty room for sure and holding until after cruise

Depends. On $1200 probably $40. On $2500 or about would give $100. I hit a JP of $27,000 in July gave $300 and sent my host $500 because he’s always good to me

Agree..folks have too much to worry about....
Some people make it their life mission to complain. I wouldn’t doubt some of these people actually go out and smell to find a smoker lol

I re-read the email from Harrah's New Orleans. They will allow access for food but not drinks. Unless said companion is Diamond level already.
Well I guess it’s different in AC and Vegas. My husband used his companion card to go to the bar without me at both locations

Or his spouse also plays. I know of people who took two OVB certs and got a suite. Just a thought.

My spouse doesn’t cruise so no. See my post above it explains

After my last 4 night cruise on anthem I had 4500 points they offered me an inside comp on a select 3-5 night sailings or $500 off. I thought that stunk considering I get comp suites on Ncl and gamble exactly the same. I callled my outside host and he was able to get me a comp grand suite. Guess it’s better to book outside[/quote
Wow, what a difference. Did you book through Urcomped or Player's Club?
I booked through my land casino host. He’s able to work his magic for me. He used to be vp of caesars entertainment in Las Vegas but retired. Now him and his wife opened their own casino junket to book anything for me. He has not booked my NCL because I have done that on my own for years and do get suites booked directly through cas. So I found it strange for my same type of gambling on royal as I do on Ncl why was royal only giving me an inside not even an ocean view or balcony comp. I thought something was wrong with this picture so asked my host what he could do for me and walla the grand suite

I must admit that I have done this a LOT in the past....but not always. And I do tip REALLY well when I hit a handpay jackpot. To the point that I feel that I surely am tipping more than they are used to! But happy to do so as they are SO good to me as a player and do all that they can to make sure that my gambling time is enjoyable and all good.
But I have NOT tipped the Casino Host staff as consistently....and am beginning to wonder if I am wrong. As I have had hosts who bring bottles of champagne (in a stand bucket of ice!) to my side while playing video poker, had expensive bottles of champagne sent to my room daily.....all sorts of perks!
I have recently been wondering however - if I should be tipping the Casino Department MORE as aren't they the ones that determine what perks you receive and how much is deducted from your final onboard account?
Again, I "usually" do....but not always. When I DO absolutely tip "above and beyond" when hitting a jackpot.....but have recently been told that those tips are NOT shared with the Casino Host staff......
So I guess my questions is twofold; 1) Should I tip the Casino Host staff separately and 2) Do the tips that I give the casino floor staff when winning a hand paid jackpot get shared with the host department staff?
Thanks all!
Cash tips are not allowed to casino hosts on ships. Bring a small gift. As a matter of fact cash tips are not permitted to any casino hosts on land either. However for my host I sneak an envelope to him and once even mailed him something when I hit a huge jackpot. This last Christmas I sent him edible arrangements.

I know lots of TR players that play using only their spouses card. Everyone in TR marketing knows this goes on. Yes the spouse/companion player does have their own TR number. They just don't use their card.
Heads up, new rules, some Diamond lounges will admit a Companion, but not serve them unless their sponsor is present.
That would pretty silly. Why get a companion card for someone if you need to be present. If your going with someone the companion doesn’t need a companion card then lol
Companion cards are only good for valet, food lines, check ins, and seven star and diamond lounges.

I never said YOU cannot get a second card, I said you cannot have 2 different people playing on those cards.
FYI if you take total rewards (since they have the biggest presence in AC as an example) a companion tier card is only issued to 7 stars players. Using your logic as example, explain why it was ok for 2 people to use the same card when only the top tier is issued a companion card directly from the casino. Easy, it is not allowed.
The reason TR does that is there is no higher tier to bump someone’s play up to since they are already there and it’s also a courtesy to a whale level player.
If you choose to take your chances, good luck with that but the rules are you cannot use someone else’s card to bump up your tier level.
Cathy. Bill received a companion card with my diamond status but it has his card number not mine. When I turned seven stars same thing new companion card under seven stars with his number not mine. That said when he plays he uses my card my hosts know and so did my old host at Taj. He once hit a handpay at the Rio in Vegas using my card there was no problem with it. Maybe it’s different for husbands and wives than friends

I spoke to Casino Royale this morning. Right now you can only find out on a ship if you are sailing. They don't have the emails to others ready to send out yet.
I called they said I was Prime

If I put someone on here on ignore does that mean they can’t see MY posts? I know I can’t see theirs but I don’t want them seeing mine either
