We have just been informed that our time in San Juan, PR will be shortened to 7:00 am to 1:00 PM.  Any suggestions for touring?  We are all Sr.citizens ages 60-93, with 2 on medical scooters.  TIA

Me to on May 26th. Wondering if we can take scooters?  If I find out I’ll report back

You are correct about events going on, and there have been shows, movies, line dancing that have gone on. They did not reach the threshold of this event. This , however, was extreme noise , much more than anything we’ve experienced this week. That is my complaint about the extreme shouting, music ,etc.

What do you think they are going to give you for a few hours?  Chocolate covered strawberry’s?  Did u have a baby sleeping in your cab8n? A small child?  You know if that’s the worst thing that happened on your cruise then you had a FABULOUS cruise

Hello, I am in a sky suite on Symphony and leaving in 2 weeks however Coastal Kitchen is not offered in my cruise planner as a choice for dining reservations.  I think I read somewhere that the concierge contacts us prior to the cruise for such reservations but if not, I'll just head there when I board.  (If I can find it..........first mega ship!!!)

Yes. I’m on Allure on the 26th in a CLS cannot book CK online. Haven’t heard from concierge yet

Sure it was highest at 600 so 1200 for me and hubby.  I justified it by the star class gain... I was able to cancel our 2 adult drink pkgs, 2 kids refreshment pkgs, and our BOGO Dinner.  It pretty much was a break even and sooooooo worth it!

Oh yes 100% worth it. We had the option to bid on the ATS 1 bedroom starting at $100 pp or 2 bedroom starting at $400 pp or Star Loft starting at $800 pp.  we did not bid on the 1 bed ATS because there are 4 of us and we would be giving up a bathroom so didn’t make sense and didn’t bid on the Star loft seemed to expensive so just bid on the ATS 2 bedroom.

I wouldn't think so.  Maybe this was a pier no-show.  By then it is too late to Royal someone Up so they probably just made the best of it and gave it away as a "prize".  I realize that, in the past, they would simply upgrade someone at the pier but it seems as if those days are long gone and they don't want to upgrade anyone in that manner anymore.  I will admit though....it is very bizarre.

It would be interesting to know if he was upgraded right then and moved...edit whoops just saw it was on current cruise and for that it makes no sense unless no one bid on it

I was in 1 bedroom ATS... I had bid for the 2 bedroom ATS... I watched it disappear as an option on the booking sites a couple weeks before and assumed it was gone and mentally thought oh well no biggie.  Which is why when my bid was accepted Th morning for Sat departure I was in shock!!  You never know......good luck!

Ps our ship the symphony was also full that week.

Good to know. Can you tell me was your bid at top end or low or middle. Have a great cruise

For our recent Allure May 5th sailing we had the opportunity to bid on an aquatheatre suite and the Royal suite, we got the rejection e mail Saturday the evening before we sailed.

Interesting though, on  the cruise in the casino, for every 50 points you got on the slot machine, you were automatically given a chance for an upgrade raffle for the aquatheatre suite.  The raffle was held on Wednesday, and a man claimed the prize.

So, is this the new gimmick.

Before I remember suites being won at bingo.............now the casino.

    Thought it was different.

    Sea Ya

Was it for the cruise he was already on or future cruise?

Just under $17k at Jakes 58.  Picture of her win is on their facebook page some place in the "jackpots" section.  Needless to say, she gets the royal treatment from them whenever we go back lol

My family lives about 15 minutes from Jakes 58 I’ve been there once. My nephew hit $40,000 a few months ago there

Just trying to confirm suite benefits with the Royal Up program.  You receive all of the class benefits associated with your cabin type (sea, sky, star) except the double crown and anchor points, correct?  I assume that if you originally start out in sea class (JS) you still receive the double points. I don't want to incorrectly factor in the cost of the drink package, gratuities, and specialty dining if I get the chance to go star class.

You are correct. We are in a CLS (Sky) and bid on an ATS 2 bed (Star). If we were to win we would get all the star perks

I  came across this thread a couple weeks ago or so, and went to the website to “opt in” for emails from RCI. Within 24 hours I received a Royal Up email offer. We are leaving on our cruise at the end of this very month btw. We were booked originally for a Junior Suite, and I noticed that our cruise was no longer listed on the RCI website - and “unavailable” for booking on other websites which I assume means it had been sold out. Nevertheless, we decided to try an offer for a Grand Suite that was just $10 over the minimum bid and I decided to just forget about it and told myself it most likely wouldn’t be possible but it was kind of fun to try.

Less than 24 hours after placing the bid I got an email that it was accepted. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Congrats. What ship are you on?
