We are also off for our first Celebrity cruise on Silhouette. We are very excited and cautiously optimistic on how it will go. We are not formal dining people and will probably be chilling out in the buffet and cafe al bacio and other places where I can grab tea and cake. 😄

I have to confess to being a little bit of a food slob as I have tried food on the cruise that I have never tried before. I take some and try it and then don't like it so it goes to waste 😞 For me it's a way to try foods that I wouldn't normally try because I don't want to spend money to buy something that I then throw away. I try to excuse it by saying I am wasting less by throwing a side plateful away rather than a full meal.

We are due to sail off on our first Celebrity cruise in July and we are on the Silhouette so I am happy to hear that people are still getting great food as I was getting concerned from some posts. We are very casual in our dress and love wearing t-shirts and trousers. We will have to take some other tops with us to change into for MDR and Le Petit Chef but most of the time we'll be in t-shirts.

We have our first reservation with Le Petit Chef on Silhouette in July, very excited to see the show and happy to have the short ribs if that is what is on offer. We are excited for it.

I have never had lobster so was interested in trying it but if it's not on then that's okay. We are looking forward to having this experience. I am a little bit concerned about the reviews on here but we are not experienced fine diners so whatever they should be more than we're used to.

That actually makes me feel more hopeful that I will actually like the food there. We know that Murano's is more our style but we hope the experience will be worth it.

We have booked on the Iceland trip in July, from the reviews we have seen I don't think we are going to like the food that much (we don't like fish or onions) but would I be right in thinking it's more about the experience. We can always go fill up at the buffet afterwards.
