  1. Honestly, having your mouth breath on your fingers as you eat them, then touch more serving utensils is unsanitary to me. Just cause covid and norovirus spread so easily on ships. And I so don't recommend eating anything till you sit and wipe/sanitize your hands first. Everyone is touching those serving spoons.
  2. I can honestly say I have seen those things (especially eating a French fries in line) on every cruise I've ever been on. Nothing new. However, the finger licking etc with covid and norovirus is disgusting and so wrong. I use wet wipes after touching the utensils when I sit down before I start to eat. You wash your hands when you enter, but then touch so many serving utensils it's a must.
  3. Exactly what does this unsavory demographic consist of?
  4. Removing automatic gratuities is the fastest (60 seconds or less) and easiest request they face in a day.
  5. Why? They don't care. They do what you ask. No questions asked. And they move on.
  6. Title makes me laugh. Yummy. Nothing. Passable a few things. Nothing special and very bland is the key words that come to mind.
  7. Got an email from Mona today! She never let's me down!
  8. I sent her yesterday and nothing yet. Was it an auto reply?
  9. On Wonder in May none of the specialty restaurants were full on the nights we were there. Not even 50% full.
  10. Anyone know if Mona Gutierrez is still the go to for a dining request and reply?
  11. A test of embarkation lunch in the main dining room was supposed to begin only on Mariner. Does anyone know if this is still taking place?
  12. Wonder. There only new for a short time. Love that new ship feel. Everything still looks really good on her.
  13. People should do what works best for them. My cabin attendant made $230 from me in tips. Trust me, no complaints from him.
  14. I've never worked anywhere in my life where dishwasher got a cut of the tips. Why care on a cruise. Let them get a paycheck.
  15. They don't allow you to remove dine and drink tips. The other they do. It's all because of what they (Royal) take/keep from it. Clearly there are reasons that involve what's in it for them.
  16. No they are not informed. Proof? No. Because it's not true.
  17. Wrong. That's how they will know it's an unwelcome policy. People have to speak up. Over and over. Customer is always right.
  18. I don't like "playing the game" nor do I see it as sticking it to the little guy to tip in cash to those that directly serve me. I'm the little guy as well. I don't make six figures. Really scrape to go anyplace. But the buck has to stop somewhere. I took $600 in small bills for tips on my last trip. The people I did tip made out very well. Just doing automatic gratuities would have cost me about $230. But I know every cent I gave went directly in someone's hand. I've read Royal take a pecent for collecting and doling out tip money. I made a difference, only on individual basis with a limited number of people. And I am 100% fine with that. Truth be told I swore to keep my tips to $400 but was very pleased with those who served me. Nobody should be told what or who to tip. I do what I feel is fair for the workers and myself.
  19. You say screw. I say not my problem to tip everyone. Let them get paid better or find other jobs. Why do you want to screw the hard working low paid Walmart workers by not tipping them? Maybe because we can't afford and shouldn't have to tip everyone. Again, do you tip laundry people at a hotel? Do you tip for a hot dog at a fast food place? How and why should all of them be my problem? Just because you say so?
