  1. So each side doesn't have a door? Thought maybe a gap between the doors for a towel.
  2. Is a connecting room a single door or double doors?
  3. No stop what a clever comeback. You make such a good point for leaving automatic gratuities. Lol.
  4. See Mike there is no legit argument. We don't tip/subsidize laundry staff in hotels. We don't tip/subsidize cleaning staff in restaurants. We don't tip/ subsidize the handyman in bars. Desk clerks at check in (both airport and hotel) flight attendants, the baggage handlers at the airport, Etc, etc, etc. Why should it become our problem on a ship? Just because? That's not good enough for me. If you argue there are people who serve you that you don't come in contact with, you will literally be tipping everyone. The behind the scenes people argument just doesn't fly with some of us.
  5. No not ignorant. I just don't care. I'm not paying for every employee. The person who serves you food is not the only one who does for you in a restaurant. Do you run around worrying and tipping them? What about the guy who cleans the floors at night? Where does it end? You tip the laundry service the hotel uses? Lame duck argument my friend
  6. 5 out of 10. Beef was tuff as nails. Full of fat. No flavor to anything.
  7. Interested in hearing from recent visitors now. Any problems
  8. Anyone have issues there lately. Heard it's really high season right now. Advice?/suggestions? Safe sea? Wet suit? Rash guard nylon suit? After the fact lotions? Go to the medical facility for some cream?
  9. I'm not with the red cross. I'm not on a humanitarian aid mission. I don't want to know the cabin attendants life story. Do a good job and you get a tip at the end. Never go into it with a set amount in mind. No guilt about how many months past between there trips home. Not my problem. I really don't care. Nobody forces them to take these jobs. I'm sure it's better than anything they could get locally. No body should tip based on what anyone else tips. Do what works for you etc.
  10. Read a few post that it's been bad past few weeks there. Anyone get a rash? Tips to avoid? (I know stay out of the water)
  11. You can just log into your Walgreens, CVS, etc account if needed. No need to take the bottles.
  12. There is no "mandatory" tip. You can go or call guest services at anytime during your trip and ask to have the automatic gratuities removed from your account for any or no reason at all. You can also tip then in cash. What you want, to who you want, when you want. Just saying.
  13. And that's wrong. Did I miss when 2 wrongs = a right? Play by the rules or don't I say. But acknowledge your actions and how they may effect the big picture for everyone down the road.
  14. Better yet. Remove the automatic gratuity at guest services (anyone can for any or no reason) and use that money to pay for the soda package. Who will see. Who will report it. Who will care.
  15. You were talking in original post about September and October trips. If you go in September, buy a soda package. If you go in October, buy a soda package. So the rest of us don't pay more and more to make up for it. It's that simple.
