  2. I know this has been asked or answered before, but do we need reservations for the Haven restaurant or can I just walk in and they'll sit us.
  3. I believe the small venues outside of the main theatre are first come first serve. Don't believe they take reservations, I think it is walk-ins.
  4. Hi again CCer's. Quick question for those who drink unsweetened ice tea. Do you know what type of tea is being served in the Haven? I'm curious if I can request it to be green tea if anything.
  5. Well put post @Sthrngary. Question about the small venues like the Comedy Club. Is there a decent amount of seating or will most people have to stand around? And around what times does it start and close up shop till the next night?
  6. Question. For the NCL Joy, are reservations only available for Footloose and Elements? Do we have to make reservations in the Comedy Club etc.
  7. Just got my luggage tags today! So excited for our vacation! What is this "PRIORITY" printed on the tags? Does this indicate that I'm in the Haven or something?
  8. I haven't sailed since COVID and this is the first time sailing in the Haven so I'm not sure what changed. But honestly why chance it right? I do know that the 26 days applies to Haven and also Platinum Tier & above members as well.
  9. Stayed up till Midnight because the shows became available for Haven at 26 days. The NCL website and app were crashing like crazy. I had to call the main reservation desk to book my shows since the Haven Concierge was already closed at that time. Luckily I got the showtimes I want. Now I can rework one of my specialty dining to another day now. I still remember having to book these shows with the rush of people ON BOARD the ship pre-COVID. So glad they allow us to book entertainment now before cruising.
  10. Ah okay. That sounds better. As long as there are a set in the e-docs then I'll be fine. I have luggage tag holders that I can always use to carry the printed ones as well.
  11. Wondering why I haven't received my luggage tags or Haven letter yet. Does it have to do with me upgrading a few weeks ago rather than having Haven in my original booking? My sailing is in July.

Talking about coffee again, I found one of the pages on this thread where Gary mentioned that the coffee that the butler brings if we request from the Haven Restaurant uses most likely the same Starbucks beans at the counter one? And not to confuse myself or anyone else, is the coffee from the Haven Restaurant the same as the French Pressed one a couple of members have mentioned? Should I note for my butler that all room service should come from the Haven restaurant?
  14. Hi Gary! Thanks for the response. Yes I've read your butler letter template that you originally posted on I believe the first or second page of this thread. I did have to adjust parts of the wording and snippets of it as the language was as someone mentioned a bit "flowery", lol. I only found snippets of letters here and there on this thread. I can go through and see if I missed any again.

  17. Since we're on the topic of the Nespresso machine. How is the coffee that it produces? I have a Vertuo version of the Nespresso at home and it produces pretty good coffee for me. Is it decent enough or should I just go to the Haven restaurant every morning and get the French pressed one. Also how well kept is the machine? I hear horror stories about the coffee machines in hotels, cruises, etc.

  19. Another question on the complimentary juices/tea that the Haven offers. I specified for them unsweetened ice tea. Do they leave this in the mini-fridge so it is there when I arrive? How often is it replenished? Can I note this in my butler letter? I had my premium drinking package removed because my wife does not drink alcohol and I am not a big drinker as well so I wouldn't make full use of this package. All she drinks are juices, teas and the occasional soda.
  20. I believe I saw it on one of the past freestyle dailies. For NCL Joy, it hasn't changed much according to a lot of the posts I've read on the boards. I've also spoken to the Haven concierge and she mentioned to me that ideally they have the early showings at 6 or 7:30PM and 9PM and on for the later ones on Sea Days. They normally try to fit another showing on the last port day since the port day is shorter and not overnight. This is for the NCL Joy when I asked since I'm sailing on this one. Good thing is she said I can always reschedule my dining times to another day at the same time if it conflicts with the showtime.
  21. Thanks so much for the input! Yea it's wishful thinking on my part where everything goes right, lol. I might have to wait for the 25 day window to open for the shows, book the shows and then reschedule any dining if I have to. My wife definitely wants me to get reservations in for the shows.
  22. Sorry to derail again, but I have a question that probably would get answered here first. How long does the specialty dining normally take? I noticed all the shows start around 7PM and my dining reservations are at 5:30PM. My wife does NOT like rushing dinner at all. I'm curious should I just have the shows on a night where I don't have specialty dining.
  23. How is the weather normally around July? I have a cruise scheduled in July and years ago I went around the same time and it was great. Hopefully it will be the same.
  24. Funny story. I did the same thing as you. I noticed the price difference between the bidding and upgrading to Haven was not that big of a difference so I upgraded to the Haven. My wife still thinks we're in a Club Balcony on deck 11, the surprise is we're in the Haven on deck 14. I thought she deserved some relaxing and this would be a first for both of us in the Haven. Oh she also is a school teacher! I guess there are a lot of educators who frequent these boards.
  25. I guess it doesn't hurt to grab a pair of nice khaki's and throw it in. Just in case. My reservation's for dinner are at 5:30PM at both places, not sure if that makes any difference as I read that it is normally after 6PM where its more enforced in some specialty restaurants?
