Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. crimmj, World Traveller will be at San Basilio for our June 2024 calls.
  2. Hello Jim, I interpret you're sailing on the World Voyager Aug 25 sailing. Atlas offers independent transfers for $314 per sedan from KEF to the ship on Aug 25. Our reservations team or your travel agent may request this, and we will simply need your flight information provided at the time of adding it to your booking. Please note this service is only available on the day of embarkation. For debarkation in Longyearbyen, the charter flight from Longyearbyen to Oslo is provided, and the ground transfer from the ship to the airport is automatically included since the charter flight component is provided. We do not offer any land program or post-cruise hotel options in Longyearbyen. Should you be looking to extend your time here, you would need to forgo the charter flight inclusion and book those logistics independently from Atlas. There are no other shore excursions to book in advance beyond the option in Ittoqqortoormiit, as all of the other ports are listed as "Captain's Choice", which indicates that our Expedition Team will determine the planned activities for those days. You can anticipate Zodiac landings and Zodiac safari experiences during these calls, and some days you may have two outings, one in the morning and another in the afternoon, and where feasible. As these are subject to weather conditions, they are not pre-bookable and will be announced on ship. All guests will have the opportunity to participate in these activities and at no additional cost. Let us know you have any additional questions. Happy to assist. We look forward to welcoming you aboard World Voyager later this summer. Jason
  3. Hello Jim, Please send a note to GuestRelations@AtlasOceanVoyages.com for a follow-up on your parka delivery. Could you include your booking #, ship, and sail date to help the team in their research and response? Best regards, Jason
  4. crimmj, Thank you for your patience while I reviewed the options on your journey. The shore excursion booklet was recently updated and want to make sure you've viewing the most recent file here: https://flip.atlasoceanvoyages.com/books/zffn/. You can find the options for Ancona beginning on pg 28 and for Durres on pg. 64. There are 4 tour options in Ancona and 3 selections in Durres to select from on your expedition. Let me know if we can assist with any additional questions. Jason
  5. Tarrant Frog, I understand from our itinerary team that we will one or two select full-day tours departing from Flam in the morning and concluding in the afternoon in Gudvangen. Guests will enjoy a ride on the train between the two villages and experience both destinations in one comprehensive tour. Additionally, there will be short tour programs offered either in the morning in Flam and also in the afternoon in Gudvangen. We anticipate the tours programs for next summer to be visible early next year.
  6. Tarrant Frog, let me verify with our itinerary team and check on the expected shore excursions that are planned for that day. Give me 24 hrs for the follow-up and I'll respond back here.
  7. crimmj, may I ask which itinerary you're booked and I will be glad to check for you.
  8. Tarrant Frog, This is Jason @ Atlas, our available shore excursions for Northern Europe are showcased in a PDF booklet and you may view the available excursions and descriptions of all the tours offered in Flam here: https://flip.atlasoceanvoyages.com/books/qckb/#p=43. All shore excursion books may be viewed at https://atlasoceanvoyages.com/brochures
  9. Greetings Camber99, the voyage remains active and our web team is working on the fix promptly today to re-display the voyage on our website. Jason @ Atlas Ocean Voyages

  11. The new website is in development and is coming along nicely. At this time we expect to launch the new site in late Q1 next year. Just a few more months to go and ask for your continued patience as we work through this comprehensive project. The current FAQ's are a great resource for frequently asked questions: https://atlasoceanvoyages.com/faq/ Jason O'Keefe
  12. ShopperfiendTO, As part of the transition of World Voyager to Atlas Ocean Voyages, we have exciting plans to ensure all the public spaces align with our brand standards. Enhancements include the popular Paula's Pantry concept, offering snacks and lite bites throughout the day. Another major enhancement includes upgrades to all soft goods to highlight the same level of elegance as the World Traveller and World Navigator. World Voyager's rebranding process is meticulously planned to ensure a seamless transformation for her inaugural season, beginning in November 2023. Rest assured, the ship will reflect her own unique personality and yet still reflect the familiarity and elegance of her sister yachts. Best regards, James
  13. Primus, Allow me to clarify further. Indeed, we do offer kayaking options during our Antarctica voyages, and pre-signups are available for interested guests. However, for our Arctic voyages, kayaking availability is more limited. Svalbard and Eastern Greenland are known for their polar bear presence, which poses safety considerations for kayaking. Therefore, we do not offer advance registration for this activity on Arctic voyages. Although kayaking offers guests an opportunity for independent exploration, in the Arctic region, we prioritize the safety and guidance of our guests during their expeditions. Typically, we offer Zodiac explorations as a group activity led by our experienced guides. This approach ensures that our guests can fully immerse themselves in the Arctic's breathtaking landscapes while being led by our knowledgeable team to the most remarkable sights ashore. This group-oriented approach provides a safe and enriching experience, allowing our guests to create unforgettable memories together. On the other hand, we offer limited options for kayaking in select locations during our Arctic voyages, particularly in Western Greenland and Iceland, where it is deemed safe by the captain. If the location is cleared, our onboard team will let you know about the available kayaking options, and you can sign up during your voyage. Again, this is not guaranteed and depends on adequate weather and safety conditions. James
  14. ekkc10753, First and foremost, thank you for your continued loyalty. Additionally, I very much appreciate your candid and valuable feedback. I want to thank you for sailing with us and for returning twice more. You asked about my vision, and that is focused on being a year-round expedition cruise company. I believe we offer superior expedition cruising experiences with great value. We’ve expanded beyond the traditional Polar expedition concept this year with our introduction of Epicurean Expeditions with great success and look forward to launching our Cultural Expedition concept in 2024 as the next evolution of our offering. My vision for the team and for our onboard experience is focused on executing flawlessly across all our vessels and in creating the consistency that you mention. The start-up of Atlas has been challenged by the pandemic, supply chain issues, and some staffing changes which I believe are all now behind us. We’re aggressively working towards improving the pre-cruise communication experience and have created a Guest Experience department lead by an industry veteran to evaluate and implement innovative, informative, and timely communications before, during and after your voyage. Over the last month and a half our teams have completed the installation of the Starlink satellite system on our vessels. This system will increase bandwidth, connectivity and the overall Wi-Fi experience. The shore excursion booking challenges will be addressed in our upcoming website enhancements coming later this year. Best regards, James
  15. Jaimee28Spencer, Onboard, our ships are wheelchair accessible. Because of the unique ports we visit and the nature of our Expedition program, we utilize various entrances to our vessels which in some cases necessitates a certain level of self-mobility. Companies who provide gangways and stairs for marine vessels continue to innovate and improve their systems, and we will certainly source these products with our guest’s mobility in mind. For the shore excursions, I encourage you to reach out through your Travel Advisor, who will in turn reach out to our Voyage Specialists to research the options that may be able available on our planned excursions. In some cases, a private tour arrangement through our tour provider may be required if the original excursion is not ideal for a guest with limited mobility. Each tour is unique, and we would have to look at each on a case-by-case basis, and our team is willing and able to look into these details and will be able to communicate what is possible or not. James
