I agree that all of those sound nice but I was trying to keep away from the carbs in the early part of the day because I knew I would be devouring them later in the day and I didn't want to leave myself as much work when I got back home. I learned on the Cunard forum that the sea air does tend to shrink clothes.
I ended up eating fresh fruit and bacon for breakfast every day after the first morning. If you ever saw a guy with a plate full of melon and bacon, that was me.
I am a little glad to hear this. I had considered ordering the pancakes a few times but always decided against it. I was wondering if I had made the right choice.
Hi, I have loved reading your reports. I was on the Queen Elizabeth with you the first week but have been back home this week. Wish I had seen these posts earlier. Anyway, I have a question about your mobile bar. How do you get the bottle of booze on board a Carnival ship? I know you can bring all the booze you like onto Cunard but I didn't think that was possible on Carnival.
I just got off the Queen Elizabeth last week. I noticed one glaring instance of dress code violation. It consisted of a black t-shirt and jeans in the Britannia dining room for dinner. Somehow the staff let it slide.
Now that I have thought about it, I am going to guess that it is just what appears on the room service menu. Thanks for giving your examples. They are both on the room service menu.
This might be a misunderstanding. There is a website called "People of Walmart" where posters post photos of outrageous outfits they have seen worn by other people shopping at Walmart. This would include people shopping in pajamas or lingerie or other non traditional items. The way Brummel capitalized "People of Walmart" I assumed he was referring to the website.
My Mrs and I will be on this sailing and got an email stating the change just today. We have not yet decided if we want to just see the sights in La Spezia or take a trip out from there.
I am flying from the US to Barcelona and yes, I am booking my own flight. I have a relative who works for Delta and we are flying standby. Because this can be somewhat hit and miss we are leaving home 2 days early just in case we get bumped on a flight.
