  1. Would that green one be the Mauritania perhaps? I'm sure someone here knows.
  2. They are fabulous photos, arxcards. Thanks for sharing them.
  3. Apologies if this has been covered, I couldn't find any answers. Regarding the My Voyage digital planner: is there a way to communicate with other passengers onboard via My Voyage? Like a message board or similar? I am new to cruising, and I just KNOW I will lose my husband on such a big ship! Also, is there a hard copy (paper) version of the day's programme readily available? I have my highlighter pens ready to go. Many thanks
  4. I have now found the phone number in Australia so I will call them when they are open. Thank you Geordiebing 🙂
  5. Hello Wise Cunard Voyagers, Does anyone else find the Cunard website frustrating? I am in Australia and have tried several times unsuccessfully to pay my outstanding balance. via the website. My details appear to be accepted; the page then says "please wait while your payment is processing..." Then an error message comes up. Just says try again, or "try again later, there may be a technical issue". What other option is there to pay my balance? The only phone number I can find seems to be in either USA or UK. Do they not want me to pay the balance? Next time I will use a travel agent. Thanks in anticipation
  6. Why the snarky sarcasm? As I said in my previous post, I like to play dress-ups, I think it's fun. I understand it's not for everyone though. To each their own, respect to all.
  7. Which is why I am attracted to Cunard! I love playing dress-ups, always have. But I don't want to take the pretense to the ultimate re-enactment of course.
  8. Thank you Mrs Peel. I am so looking forward to sailing on an ocean liner!
  9. Hello, just joined Cruisecritic today, booked on QM2 from Fremantle to Sydney in Feb 2024. I too am NOT abstemious and have just hit up my credit card for US$1400 for two of us for our ten-day voyage ("voyage" sounds more Cunard than "cruise") just in case the rumours are correct. SO looking forward to sailing! Thanks for all of your tips and advice
  10. Hello, new contributor and only two-time sailor here. Goodness there's a lot of knowledge on this site, thank you! As for "near alcoholic", well if the cap fits I'll wear it, just while I'm on holidays. We are booked on QM2 from Fremantle (Perth) to Sydney in August 2024: I am SO excited! We are getting the drinks package because I don't want to think about checking my onboard account and getting distracted or feeling guilty about how much we have poured down our throats. I will be happy with wines by the glass with meals, very satisfied with British bubbly, enjoy a couple of cocktails each evening and have one or two resuscitative good coffees each morning. You only live once! Many thanks again for sharing all your wisdom and experience.
