  1. @Caligirl33 However, I am hearing that the speciality restaurants book up prior to sailing now What happens is that about 30% of Specialty bookings are available to book online before embarkation. Then all the preferred times get taken VERY quickly; remember that there are a lot of people have a priority booking period and they are used to booking before the rest. There is always lots of places available on embarkation day but if you want very specific times and days go straight to the restaurant reservation desk before you do anything else.
  2. I have never seen the actual MDR menus for each specific night on a cruise anywhere. Normally I look at the door of the MDR that is NOT used for breakfast first thing in the morning.
  3. @mcmomny Thanks; phenomenal, BUT I don't believe it!! Did you try to book it to see what happened?
  4. @mcmomny Looking at my NCL app today and trying to book some specialty dining it gives me the option to apply my daily excursion credit from my Free At Seas offer towards the cost! Will you do a screen shot and post on here please? this would be a major change and, I am sure , many people would take advantage of it.
  5. As soon as you board and the Cruise Next desk is open but it must be embarkation day before about 9pm.
  6. Have done a number of B2B cruises in the last 12 months and in every case the folio went over the B2B cruises.
  7. @juneaubliss When we last joined a cruise ship in Piraeus you could not walk from the port gate nor could Private vehicles go through the port gates. BUT we went straight through by taxi.
  8. Never had a problem booking any number but we never do Teppanyaki or Moderno. If we did we would do those first provided we had "free" ones to book.
  9. As Ambassadors we were told to let the steward know when we wanted it done; always willing to fit in with us.
  10. @Lindy Sue I presume it comes as Free at Sea with Club Balcony so it will be
  11. @Lindy Sue Here is the menu for le Bistro- https://www.ncl.com/sites/default/files/Fleet_Le-Bistro_Dinner-Dessert-Mobile-Menu_052824.pdf I think that the only upcharge is about $10 on the Fillet. If you have the "package" book Teppanyaki and Moderno first. If there is a problem sign out and start again doing those two and then sign out and do any others.
  12. If it tells you that the photo you are trying to take with your computer is not acceptable try clearing he one you have and try again. After 4 goes it will let you get past the problem and tell you that they will take your photo at check in at the port. We have that problem every time.
  13. @PartyPlannerLady Simply turn in the ecursion ticket before the date of the excursin If YOU are cancelling a booked and paid for Shore Excursion while ON BOARD you have to give at least 48 hours notice prior to the departure time of the Shore Excursion.
  14. @woodman6703 Two possibilities Call NCL Reservations on 1 800 327 7030 with the cruise reservation numbers and ask for the dining reservation be converted from two reservations for 2 into a reservation for 4. When you board go to the special dining reservation desk set up for embarkation day and do the same thing.
  15. @MareeL FYI there are almost 600 steps and you will have to avoid the donkeys and their droppings.
  16. @MareeL A word of warning if you are going to Santorini. The Cable Car is VERY busy so if you are intending to use it to get from Fira to the cruise ship tender landing spot make sure you leave plenty of time especially if there is more than one cruise ship in port.
  17. @Birdnutty This is so complicated and uncommon I suggest that you phone NCL Reservations on 1 800 327 7030. Keep asking for a supervisor if you get the brush off.
  18. @Scurrent and @quillwercruisers Up to about 5 years ago it was possible to book Shore Excursions and then pay through your folio on board. That stopped and now if you "book" they have to be paid at the time of "booking". It just so happens that there was a paragraph in their T&Cs that did, supposedly, allow the old system as NCLs wording had, as usual, two possible meanings. I fought them over it but got nowhere. We have always found that if a port is cancelled the refund appears on your folio, as a Refundable OBC, overnight as @bonvoyagie found.
  19. @sbnuggie We live in New Zealand and always work out when it is our equivalent of midnight Eastern time and do our online check in then.
  20. @Middleager I wish NCL would cut down the paper advertisements. The Dailies are good, but .... I fully agree. Everything of that type goes, unopened/unread, into File 13. Ask your steward how many other people do the same thing!! I would be happier with NCL's supposed "environment concern" if they would do this.
  21. @carribbound Also remember that if you use a TA THEY OWN the booking. You generally lose almost all ability to contact NCL directly and have to go through the TA. A real case of doing Due Diligence and accepting Caveat Emptor.
  22. @Middleager Many people shared that they had no issue re-scheduling. We have had virtually no issue re-scheduling when there has been plenty of time between two dates. I wonder if the correspondents you quoted were actually in the same situation as you, a short period between the DwO offer and the actual DwO. That can be less than one day if the offer appears during a period when you are off the ship on a Shore Excursion. BUT For us it wasn't easy re-scheduling, as most SD times were already booked up, till maybe 9pm. We didn't want to eat that late. Anyway, it took some hassle to eventually re-schedule ours. I agree that we too have had similar problems to what you outline when there is only a short period between hearing about the DwO and the actual DwO. Then using someone in authority smooths the path. Been there done that!! Remember that you have to inform the GM's Secretary that you intend to attend; when you do inform her (him) of a possible problem with a prior booking, (s)he will; almost certainly, suggest that you contact her (him) if there is an ongoing problem.
