  1. Not all all, it is common practice. Each person sets up their own account for the Sail & Sign card when you check in two weeks prior. After you board go to guest services and get an extra room key card for both rooms. I would do that first before the line gets long as it always does the first day. I just did this last week on the Panorama, we booked my hubby into my friend’s room because she was by herself and had drinks everywhere for her and a companion. My offer had the drinks but only for me. Hubby just put the extra card on his lanyard and he was good to go.
  2. We were docked around 7 AM this morning and carry off started debarking at 8. We are Platinum and were supposed to wait until 10 to get off but left around 9:30 and a lot of the luggage in our group was already picked up. Next time we will get off 9. This was the 6 day so we were in Ensenada yesterday which is a short distance from Long Beach. The 7 day is a little more prone to delay as they have to come all they way up the Baja coast on the one sea day. Traffic was not bad this morning either, it’s usually much worse on the week days. The Panorama is our favorite ship, enjoy!
  3. That’s why I chose it too, sailing down the Hudson River past the Statue Of Liberty with the Manhattan skyline behind us, bucket list item for sure. The best part is you don’t have to go back to New York, lol! You will debark close to home, even better, we still have to fly across the country. A couple of the ports will be new for us too, really looking forward to it!
  4. We were on the Panorama this week last year and they didn’t have the Dodgers playoff games on the ship. They were on TBS and we were able to stream the games on my IPad with the Premium WIFI. Obviously it won’t be an issue this year. 😜
  5. I’m booked on that cruise, not Elite but I did get a free balcony and DOUE. I will never be Elite but I was on an Elite cruise last April on the Vista and had a blast in the casino. It was not over crowded and there was a super fun and friendly group of gamblers. I am happy hear this will be an Elite cruise too, see you there!
  6. This is only for the Miracle passengers, if you’re sailing on the Radiance or Panorama you park in the terminal garage. They only have enough parking for two ships so the Miracle passengers park off site and use the shuttles Carnival provides. I was on the same cruise, it worked great for embarkation but was a mess when we returned. If you are on the Miracle be sure to take your luggage with you on the shuttle to the garage so you don’t have to come back to the terminal. I think the problem was it was a 14 day to Alaska and there was a lot of luggage that needed to be picked up at the same time the following cruise was dropping off theirs.
  7. That is going to affect the Panorama that departs on Sunday. I’ll be on that one too and they have delayed the arrival times with the first appointment at 11:30 instead of 10:00. We do park in the garage though and the race is supposed to clear the port area by 9:30 AM so hopefully it won’t be a big issue. Cruising out of Long Beach has been an adventure lately!
  8. You will park in the terminal garage, only the Miracle passengers have to park offsite. There is plenty of room in the garage for two ships but not the third.
  9. The parking is diverted to an offsite garage for all the Miracle sailings. We were on the the 14 day to Alaska last month and were supposed to park at the Convention Center but got an e-mail a couple of weeks prior that we would be parking in a garage in a different area of downtown Long Beach. The garage was fine and not in a bad area. We were instructed to drop off our luggage at the port and then park in the garage and ride a Carnival shuttle back to the port. We got there early and everything ran smooth but it was awful on the return. When you return take your luggage with you on the shuttle to the parking garage, DO NOT ride the shuttle to get the car and come back to the port for your luggage. I just presumed that was what we were supposed to do and it was a huge mistake. It was chaos in the pick up/drop off area and it took our husbands two hours to ride the shuttle, get the truck and get back to the terminal. The traffic was backed up all the way across the bridge from Long Beach. We were traveling with another couple and had a lot of luggage but my hubby said some people on the bus had their luggage with them. They also waited 30 minutes on the bus before it filled and headed to the parking garage. We will be on the Miracle again in November and will definitely be taking our luggage on the bus when we get off. It’s a 5 day to Mexico so I can pack light, lol!
  10. I am happy now I booked the 8 day for March 2025, it goes to Cabo first for a full day. We are doing that itinerary for NYE this year and we have a couple of the 6 days booked too. We love the Panorama and Cabo is our favorite port on the Mexican Riviera. The weekend departures are definitely better traffic wise too, we live just North of Los Angeles.
  11. I’m on that cruise, it will be our first NYE cruise. My hubby’s 70th birthday is NYE and 4 other couples are joining us in Havana cabanas and aft balconies, we have the aft wrap. I was able to use a casino discount and did get the free drinks for me but it definitely wasn’t free. It will be totally worth it for the special occasion, I can’t wait! See you on board, it’s going to be a good one!
  12. Today I booked the Panorama 8 day for March 2025 and I have the Panorama booked 5 more times on the same deal. For our upcoming NYE cruise we are in the Havana area and that offer didn’t apply but I was able to use another one with a nice discount and $1500 OBC. I get free drinks everywhere on my offers too, we live an hour from Long Beach and are retired, it’s a no brainer, lol! If they keep sending me the deals I’ll keep booking them. The Panorama is by far our favorite, we board again in two weeks, can’t wait! Have a great time!
  13. I totally agree and have no problem with them raising the price, just wanted to give everyone a heads up if they didn’t get the e-mail. I still think they will also raise the price for the longer cruises fairly soon, inflation is not going away. We are back over $6 and well on our way to $7 for gas here in California.
  14. I have a 5 day on the Miracle November 2nd and it mentions that cruise in the e-mail, encouraging me to buy before the price goes up. But the price hike does not apply to my cruise. They mention saving $10 per day so I think that is how much it’s going up.
  15. I just got this e-mail, it probably won’t be long before they raise prices for the longer cruises.
  16. They will definitely have a Halloween themed Deck Party with a Costume Parade and contest. Last year on the Panorama it was in place of the Mega Deck Party and they had contests for children, adults and groups. It was super fun and later in the week they did the 80s Rock and Glow deck party which was even more fun. A lot of people dressed for both events and they had themed backdrops for photo ops too. We’ll be on the Panorama mid October again this year, looking forward to another fun cruise!
  17. In the announcement for Carnival’s new destination port on Grand Bahama they mentioned that new itineraries would be released in mid September that will go to Celebration Key. It opens July 2025 so I am thinking that Miami’s schedule might be released next month.
  18. That must be a Premier or Ultra offer. The specialty casino cruises do run through 2025 but all the other offers have to be used by December 2024. Also, if you book now for 2025 using an early saver code first you can change it to a casino offer or different casino offer later. My PVP does this for me frequently.
  19. 6279 is a premium balcony, it will be more expensive but is a much bigger cabin and perfect for a family. It is about the size of an Ocean Suite but has a standard bathroom so can’t classified as a suite. It does have a large extended balcony. We have 7301, a premium balcony on the 14 day Miracle to Alaska from along Beach in a couple of weeks, really looking forward to it! 6279 is the same layout but I am not sure if it has the top bunk that drops out of the ceiling. The Miracle is a sister ship to Spirit so the cabins are the same.
  20. Not Miami but we did a side to side in Galveston, Vista to Breeze in April. The porter took our bags over to the Breeze terminal, changed out the luggage tags and turned them over to the porters in that terminal. We tipped him well of course and we always use a porter anyway but it couldn’t have been easier. It was not far, the Breeze parks behind the Vista.
  21. One of the casino offers I book for cruises or cabins that you can’t use the free balcony offer for includes $1500 OBC. I think I have 4 booked with this offer, it’s $750 for cruises under 6 days. It doesn’t include Fun Play but is 20% off casino rates which works great for suites or a Havana cabin. If you use the OBC in the casino you do earn points which is another plus.
  22. I just checked the Carnival website again and there are Alaska cruises from April to September 2025. All from Seattle on the Spirit and Luminosa. None from San Francisco, maybe they will add those later?
  23. Yes, just charge it to your sail and sign card at the machine or buy chips for the tables at the cashier.
  24. I was looking for the September 14 day Spirit cruise from Seattle they are doing in 2024 but they are not offering it in 2025. They are doing a 14 day Hawaii cruise instead.
  25. Now that the Galveston sailings have dropped through April 2026 will the other port’s cruises be released soon? Specifically Miami, I want to book the Horizon in May or June, 2025.
