  1. Great news, we’ll be on the Vista in April, thanks!
  2. I am loving your review, thank you for sharing! The pics are amazing and your positive energy shines through, bet you enjoy all your vacations! Looking forward to the rest of the story. 😎
  3. Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We just booked this Hawaii cruise with our BFFs for early February 2025, glad to see the weather and rough seas didn’t ruin your cruise. I am a bit concerned because ours is in the winter also. We have never been sea sick but will be equipped with meds just in case and we will be on the Radiance, not sure what difference that will make. What I am super excited about is we are doing the 14 day round trip to Alaska with our friends on the Miracle September 10th. Universally the Miracle crew gets rave reviews. I can’t wait to meet them, we’ll be back on Miracle in early November for a Mexico cruise. Isn’t retirement the best thing ever invented? We are freshly retired and loving every minute, especially our return to cruising. Thanks again for taking the time to write such a detailed review, lots of great info and tips. Happy Retirement and Happy Sailing!
  4. I am loving your review, especially the balcony pics. I booked the suite so picturing myself right there with that refreshing glass of wine, only 16 months to go! Enjoy your dinner, looking forward to the pics! 😋
  5. In my experience yes, they are uncomfortably close, it’s the same on the Vista and Radiance also. Thank you cruising from Vegas for the tip on tables to ask for, I will definitely do that in the future. The awkwardness of the seating in the MDR is the main reason we don’t eat many meals there when cruising by ourselves. We were on the Panorama with the family and it was fine as a group.
  6. As said above the sky ride and ropes course are free along with all the games in Sports Square, Clubhouse and mini golf. My memory is that the Sky Zone was $15 to $18 for the regular jump and around $25 for the glow in the dark one they do at night, they give you a glow in the dark T shirt to keep with that one. That young staff that runs it are very high energy, it can get a bit rough and there is a lot of joking around, my grandson had a ball. He’s only 9 but they have different times for different age groups , little ones, school age and teens/adults. You need to make a reservation through the Hub app and if you are sailing during a busy season when there are lots of kids make them early in the cruise. Your teens and you will LOVE the Panorama, there is so much to do. The elevators only seemed to be a problem the first day, you just need to push the floor button for each person in your group. The deck parties are must dos for all, especially the 80s Rock & Glow, I brought some glow in the dark baseballs from the Dollar Tree for the kids, they were a big hit. Formal nights are Sunday and Thursday after Cabo and I hear they have moved the lobster from the the first formal night to the second. One more thing on our cruise when you check in for Your Time Dining you always get a 10 minute wait time estimate but that is what the estimate always says and it can be a bit or a lot longer, especially on formal nights. So be ready to go but don’t go to the dining room until you get the your table is ready notice. The entrance to the dining room was clogged up with people waiting because they believed the estimate. Also if you go down to the third deck entrance it is not as crowded. Have a blast, I am sure you will!
  7. Thanks for the live report, I am enjoying your cruise! 😎 Question on your suite, the balcony appears to to be private and well shaded, is that the case? Also do you have any noise issues from the aft deck above? I just put a hold on 15503 for May 2024, thank you and have a great time!
  8. Thanks for info, I booked the tailgating class for our group. We will be on the Panorama for NYE and also celebrating hubby’s 70th birthday. Four couples are joining us so I booked the class as a party favor, I think it will be a blast to do it together!
  9. The Vista doesn’t have a Carnival Kitchen so won’t have cooking classes. For now the Panorama, Mardi Gras and Celebration are the only ships with the Carnival Kitchens. The Jubilee that debuts in December will also have the kitchen and cooking classes.
  10. Thank you so much for the detailed review! I just booked a back to back on the Celebration for May 2024. I got a casino offer and booked an extended balcony for $500 each cruise. It is such a great deal I booked it immediately in case it was a mistake, lol! We have 5 cruises booked between now and May but I am really looking forward to this one. Thanks again for the positive report!
  11. The hubby and I will be on the Miracle 14 day round trip to Alaska September 10th, our itinerary changed also . Instead of a quick 4 hour stop in Victoria we are going to port in Prince Rupert for a full day before the three sea days traveling home. Super excited about seeing a new port and a full day to boot, this was a pleasant surprise for once!
  12. I was just on the Radiance last week for the 4 day cruise, the hubby and I both pre purchased the Value Plan. When we initially logged in we were offered an upgrade to Premium for $12 total for the cruise. We both took the offer and the Internet worked better than our two previous cruises this year with the Premium Plan on Vista and Panorama.
  13. No, Vista and then we’ll drag our luggage over and board Breeze, can’t wait! We did the Panorama in October, by far our favorite ship since we returned to cruising last April on the Vista.
  14. It’s 99 for me today too! Plus we got off the Radiance this morning, retirement life rocks!
  15. I am doing the opposite side to side in April, going from the Vista to the Breeze. I was on the Vista last April so know the ships are docked very close together and the walk between ships with luggage will be easy. I bought FTTF for the Vista cruise which allows us late debarkation so we’ll probably have breakfast in the dining room and then hang out in the Havana Bar area until we are kicked off, lol! I would appreciate any tips regarding a side to side as it will be a first for us too, thanks for asking.
  16. I have to concede to the majority that the Indian dishes on the buffet were the same ones offered in the MDR the same night. I truly believed they were from the night before and the one I tried definitely tasted leftover, lol! I board the Radiance on Monday so will do a full recon on the buffet and report back. I’ll add a review of Shaq’s Big Chicken too, looking forward to that!
  17. Thanks, this looks great! We will definitely hit the buffet on Thursday next time on the Panorama.
  18. I definitely saw the vegetarian option from the MDR in the buffet the next night. I think it was both nights we ate at the buffet and I am sure on the one night because it was dish that I thought I might like, glad I didn’t order it, lol! We went to the dinner buffet twice on the Panorama and twice on the Vista in April, we hadn’t cruised since 2008. On the Panorama there are so many good options there is no need to go to the buffet if you don’t enjoy it.
  19. The buffet may have a few items that were left over from dining room the night before. We were on the Panorama in October, the dinner buffet was very limited and not very good. My hubby doesn’t enjoy the drawn our meals in dining room either but thought the buffet was bad and he is not that hard to please, lol! We went twice to the dinner buffet and a few times to the breakfast buffet which was quite good but the exact same offerings every day. Blue Iguana, Guys Burgers and the pizza were excellent and we enjoyed dinners at Guys Brewhouse, Jijis and loved the Bonsai Teppanyaki. There are plenty of options besides the MDR on the Panorama, it’s a great ship!
  20. Thank you, makes me even happier I booked the suite for the % cruise, going to guest services won’t be a problem. I did buy FTTF for the last time for our Vista cruise so all bases are covered, really looking forward to this trip!
  21. My cruise A on the Vista will be followed by a side to side on the Breeze, I will turn Platinum during the Breeze cruise. I guess it’s a moot point because I booked a suite on the Breeze but I’m really looking forward to turning Platinum. It only took 32 years, started on our 15th anniversary, turning Platinum on our 47th!
  22. We sailed in our first cove balcony on the Panorama in October, loved everything about it! I did my research and we were in 2308, not under the galley which you definitely want to avoid due to overnight/early morning noise. I use the the cabin checker website https://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/deckplans/cabin-check.php?ship=Carnival-Panoramaand your cabin 2333 appears to under the dining room which should be fine. We LOVED our cove balcony and being so close. Easy on and off from ports too!
  23. This is exactly what we do and it works out great. Hubby and I take turns making the coffee run. I drink two cups and he drinks one so it is perfect. I like my coffee strong and flavorful so I bring the Starbucks instant packets and add one to each cup. I also bring powdered flavored creamer, not the best but I can live with it. We have a Havana Cabana in April on the Vista and will be close to Java Blue so I plan to try the fancy coffees since they are included in the Cheers package.
  24. Oh, and you will LOVE the Vista Suite on Pride, it’s amazing! We sailed on the Legend and Spirit in 2007 and 2008, both times in Vista suites, best cabins we have sailed in by far. We did the one way from Vancouver to Anchorage on the Spirit with our BFFs, we had both Vista Suites on the 7th deck. It was our trip of a lifetime so far and will be very tough to beat. You will enjoy every moment, it’s going to be a great surprise!
