  1. Some nights maybe but most nights Headfort Place.
  2. https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/r10/specialplaces/?cid=fsbdev2_038752
  3. The Hard Rock was my local when I first moved to London in 89. It was fantastic. I lived 100 yards from Hyde Park Corner at the time. What a place to be 18!
  4. I’ve wondered about this previously. Certainly within the Uk and the EU they would be fully liable if any part of the service failed or caused a loss under the package travel and linked arrangements act 2018 and wouldn’t have a leg to stand on. It’s such a shame that they can’t find a better partner. Emirates seem to have it off to a tee with their partners. SS need to play hardball with Blacklane, who in turn need to play hardball with their service providers. Tighten up those contracts and if that driver just chooses not to turn up then he’s paying for all consequential losses. Blacklane fail to provide the service then they’re paying. That would sort the wheat from the chaff. Get the contracts right and you don’t need to absolve yourself of any responsibility for not providing a service that has been paid for as part of a “luxury” package.
  5. Sounds like a golden opportunity for any adrenaline junky to savour every last moment of their holiday with a race and a chase against a deadline. If you enjoy the thrill of the race and don’t mind having to pay twice for your flights then go for it. Otherwise, enjoy a nice breakfast, a leisurely transfer and a flight you’re likely to make.
  6. It does sound to me the way that you would pronounce it if you were a guest of Wentworth (under Mrs Davidson's watch, (my 2nd favourite teenage pastime) not this modern version.
  7. What an experience M! Savour every second xxx
  8. Agadir certainly sounds like it’s improved since our visits there in 2003/4. Back then you could smell the port a good 3 nautical miles before docking and we really believed that we were going to be murdered by our Taxi driver before we ever got out of the Port. Maybe your motorcade showed you a different Agadir to the one that we saw. Enjoy the delusion.
  9. I Suppose after Lincolnshire, anywhere with a little undulation might be a welcome relief. Have you ever tried Madeira (either the Island or the drink? I Like both) Here in Wales it is thought that the reason that many Welsh people are born with one leg shorter than the other is a direct result of the number of contour lines printed on maps, a curious side effect of topography. I'm Glad you got your packing sorted. Looking forward to hearing about your trip. Wishing you a smooth sailing and a fabulous time. May the road rise up to meet you.
  10. Bloody poor people. They get everywhere these days. I’m so sorry that your fellow passengers are not up to muster Fletch. It’s a real shame that they aren’t as witty or intelligent as you. I Do sincerely hope that one day you are able to take a holiday that you actually enjoy.
  11. I Think you posted this in the wrong forum.
  12. Fingers crossed. As a survivor of the inaugural Spirit post stretch cruise I hope that they remembered to order batteries for safes and remotes, have lights in the suites, have all the modern stuff like phones and TVs working, open all of the venues and don’t make you wait in the searing heat for an hour for a tender whilst the CEO and Head of Marketing are whisked to inspect their latest triumph. #neversailaninaugralagain
  13. Conwy Valley lamb is superb too Jeff. It’s not a salt marsh but the flood plain floods with seawater regularly and the grass in the Valley here is really rich.
  14. That reminds me of the mysterious man that I found in my cabin on a Nile cruise.
  15. That’s such a shame M, Haines is the most beautiful sail in I’ve ever seen.
  16. We are so fortunate here. The local Bakeries are very good but our local butchers are even better. One of them is very famous in the area for her sausage rolls and pies. The sausage rolls are incredible but the pies are next level. Marilyn’s Pies from Trefriw are better than anything you’d find anywhere. None of this sloping sides witchcraft and trickery and you couldn’t get any more meat in there if you tried.I Haven’t tried one as a Wigan Kebab myself but I Believe that they lend themselves very well to that particular culinary delight.
  17. I Hope that RCI are following these topics as closely as the former CEO of Silversea did and realise the damage that is being done to the line.
  18. I’ll never forget it! I’m shocked though that whilst they’re sorting out their provisioning there is no autonomy given to the ship. Thinking back to that disastrous cruise, one of the things that I remember was that they had no batteries for any of the tv remote controls or safes. I Remember pondering at the time why they couldn’t send someone to the pound shop to get some. This is a whole other level though.
  19. It does sound very much like they have switched to an RCI provisioning system with no autonomy left for the ship when things go wrong. A Six star line with an inadequate purchasing dpt unable to provide so many basics will hopefully soon learn that they need to leave a little more in the petty cash tin before they become a running joke.
  20. Believe me QSS, you really don’t want to disappear down that worm hole. It has all of the hype of the Superbowl with a budget to match. It used to be about talent, sadly no longer. It is so political now that the songs and performers are irrelevant. Many issues arose in this year that it showed it for what it is. The hostility towards Israel being the most jarring. I For one would be happy if we withdrew from the contest, and took our substantial donation with us.
  21. Did you ask them if the siared Cymraeg?
