  1. We were on the Wonder OTS in April and one day I mistakenly started to walk into the starboard smoking area that was adjacent to one of the pools. It wasn't on a top deck so the smoke just hung in the area, as soon as I got near the area, it enveloped me immediately and I had to do a 180 and get the hell out of there.
  2. The Excel Class ships on Carnival have a non smoking section in their casinos, but it still doesn't prevent some smoke from drifting over. On the Oasis Class ships of RCI, the Jazz on 4 club has been converted into a small non smoking casino.
  3. That's true, but why is Celebrity the only main stream line to have a non smoking casino and no line has a fully non smoking ship today, even with the societal shift against smoking.
  4. Back in the day, Carnival had an entirely smoke free ship called the Paradise. Because of the reduced profits generated from the casino and the bars because zero smokers were on board, it was a short lived experiment. Nowadays, Celebrity has smoke free casinos. It would be nice if Princess followed suit, but who knows.
  5. But unless you've made final payment, the only people that can do it are Elite and above or is it Platinum and above?
  6. Can't see why that ship would be any different, other than it being originally built for Costa, which shouldn't have any determination regarding different printings on cards. Over the past few years have sailed on the Celebration 5 times and the Mardi Gras 4 times and none of them had the actual cabin number printed on the card.
  7. So was I. I have my January B2B from the Celebration in my hand right now. 1/21 & 1/28. Ship name, your name, your dining, your VIFP#, your sailing date, your Folio # and your muster station #. No cabin number anywhere
  8. On the NCL cruise I had gotten into a heated argument with a woman who was sitting at a HC table in the buffet and she had no wheelchair, scooter, walker or cane with her. So, she was obviously mentally handicapped, by sitting where she shouldn't be. This irritates me to no end and I have seen it firsthand on multiple cruise lines. My DW uses a scooter and when non HC people take up space where they don't belong, it just cuts me to the core. I have absolutely no problem confronting someone over this. Our "discussion" was obviously picked up on camera and later that evening, out of nowhere, I was approached by security to give my version of what had happened with the head of security. It blew my mind, but I met with him, had my day and that was it.
  9. Gambling, just like consumption of alcohol could be another reason to misplace your card. In over 60 cruises, I have left a card locked in my cabin on two occasions, but never lost it, even after consuming a dozen drinks over the course of a day. I too prefer the medallion, don't need to whip out a card to get a drink or to open the stateroom door.
  10. Good luck going deck to deck on a 250 K ton Oasis Class ship in 5 minutes. The only way you should possibly lose your card is if you were impaired because you had too much to drink. And what are the chances of someone finding your card, then taking the time to attempt to find your cabin going floor to floor, which of course is all being taped by the numerous cameras on board. Here's a reality check for you. I have been tracked down by security on Carnival, RCI and NCL for various reasons over the years just by the technology that is on board and the tracking that can be done. Yes, Big Brother is watching you.
  11. RCI and Celebrity, but only the last three digits of your room number, not your deck.
  12. Really? Been on Carnival (no) Celebrity (last 3 digits) RCI (last 3 digits) MSC (deck only) & NCL(no). These were all within the past two years.
  13. Yes, look similar to passenger medallions. I've seen them on employees inside of the clip usually attached to the collar of their shirt or to a belt loop on their pants.
  14. I guess we will just agree to disagree, but you using the word most, which implies a majority, is in fact incorrect. Your hypothesis could be true 5 years down the road, but it's purely speculative. Right now it's used by Princess as a whole and a minority use with Royal and MSC. The overwhelming majority of cruisers still use cards on board.
  15. The royal thing is a pay for option that only an extremely small number of people would pay for. In April we were on the Wonder of the Seas for a 14 day B2B and I never saw these bands in play at all. Once again, you laid the gauntlet down with your comment of most lines, and besides a small percentage on RCI and MSC, with the other lines NCL, X, and Carnival currently not having them available at all, the better word choice would have been some instead of most. But, having used the medallion on Princess as well as the wristband five years ago on MSC, they are a nice alternative method.
  16. Wouldn't use the word most. MSC has it with their Yacht Club only, not their general population on board. Disney may use bracelets, never cruised on them. But, the other US based lines, Royal, Carnival, Celebrity, & NCL are all still using cards.
  17. And it's easy to figure out who the Queen 🐝 is as well as the worker 🐝
  18. That wasn't a tour he was on. He was sitting at the pool bar enjoying a drink of his choice while enjoying the views.
  19. You were the first to mention it and now others that have followed suit are posting about it. The bottom line is that if it saves you money in the long run, it's worth it. Unfortunately all 10 of our cruises between now and February of 2026 were higher priced.
  20. Those beds were made for sleeping. If you wanted hanky panky, your partner could always ride cow girl in one bed, lol.
  21. The 30 pppd is for a balcony cabin. It's 20 pppd for an inside or ocean view. Your situation is the same as ours, all 10 of our current cruises were booked on the day bookings opened and of course are all higher priced now, even our February of 2026 sailings.
  22. But it's only good for bookings these three days. And more often than not you always get a better price when you book as soon as sailings open up for bookings. I think there has only been one person who has reported that they made out better with this sale. (dog) 280 for a week is a good deal with OBC. I'm usually between 200 and 250 with the TA I'm currently using.
  23. Seems like your post is 100% pure speculation on your part and nothing else. The Sun will not be in the Caribbean until October and they still have 3 months of European sailings in order to get things set up properly.
