If it's all right with you should you pass by a store selling liquor in Cozumel would you check on the price for the Don Julio tequilas? Here in Washington state Anejo is $76.99 750ml & $129 for the 1.75ml. Reposado is $68.99 for the 750ml. I was thinking about driving 13 hours to the California border where is is much less expensive but I have some friends who will be in Cozumel next month and offered to bring a few bottles home. Just wanted to compare the price you might find it at and the price in California to see if its worth asking them to look for it while in port. Thanks in advance.

Sitka is a great port and a worthy substitute. Icy Strait is a total bore barely worth a 2 hour visit much less a fifteen hour one.

The point I was trying to make is Viking's success with their No Kids policy cannot be equated with Virgin's. Ocean cruise pricing on Viking is more than double that of Virgins and as the above poster mentioned rooms on the 'Lady" ships aren't comparable. Virgin is in the same lane as the other mainstream cruise lines, none of which have a no kids policy, all offer drink packages, most if not all have a spacious pool area with one to two pools, oh and none have the drifty tattoo option. ...and if you can't tell I really can't stand people covered with tats. One day doctors who specialize in removing them will all be in hot demand.😉

Do you feel Virgin & Viking are priced the same and are equals?

Personally, I have no issue with the tattoo parlor or record shop it's just they are both so unnecessary and potentially a turn off to some. No kids? Excellent. From a business standpoint foolish and when the dust settles they will have to do away with this. I've read a lot about using the Virgin app and would much prefer to book everything in the comfort of my home months before the cruise so I can just relax when I get onboard. Richard Branson is an eccentric kook who while trying to appear different is forgetting the basic principle all businesses should follow and that is to maximize profits. Time will tell.

Tattoo shop, record store, no kids, no drink packages, must have a smart phone...these are a few of the reasons why bookings are so low. Royal, NCL, Princess, Celebrity, HAL, Carnival are all sailing full (or close to it) in the U.S. Virgin's business model is just to wacky to attract a large segment of the cruising public.

Well, that postage stamp size pool probably wouldn't hold anyone back from booking Alaska. 😉
