  1. Except, you also need to say Stahbucks! đŸ€Ș
  2. Autumn in New England is not 65-75. And October is not “autumn” for us. We have started on winter.
  3. October? It could snow. We have trick or treated when it was freezing. And you are going north of Boston. Absolutely you should bring winter garb!
  4. Awesome! Are the tours themselves similar to the ones on a big ship (catamaran/snorkeling, local food tour, bus tour showing island highlights). Or are they more boutique type activities?
  5. We have never cruised with Star Clippers but only with the “big ships”. What kind of excursions do they offer. We are sailing out of Barbados hitting a few islands in the Caribbean in December. Are they the same kind as offered by the likes of Princess or Celebrity? The website doesn’t explain. And I think you only pick them once on the ship, right?
  6. They are cutting down on service for a while due to staffing issues so the trains won’t come as often that is the big factor. Once a train comes, it should take about 25-30 minutes on the red line to or from Cambridge. Probably a little longer on the green line as that line has many stops to thr MFA. I would also just take an Uber but that’s me. As long as it’s not rush hour, it won’t take too long.
  7. You take the Green Line to the MFA. There is a stop on the E line that is called Museum of Fine Arts. Walk from the Orange line is too long. Change from Red Line to Green at Park Street. After the museum I would take a cab/uber to Harvard square. Otherwise you have to go back into the city center and back out again to Cambridge. You can cut across the river with a cab. And then you just take the Red Line as a straight shot back to South Station. And remember, you can ride the T (the name of our subway) anywhere it goes for one fare. It doesn't cost extra to switch lines. Only if you exit the system do you need to pay again to go anywhere.
  8. What do you mean “is not possible”? What reason? Because you are positive now? And what are you looking for us to do? I will say that looking at the cruises on the summit, they are basically sold out except for interiors. (Mind you, I didn’t do an exhaustive search) That could be what’s not possible.
  9. And it depends on the capacity of the ship. Right now, with ships not sailing full, the old anytime dinning method is still available. We just got off the Discovery sailing at 60% capacity. We had daily 8pm reservations but showed up early if we were ready and there was no problem. Dinning room was barely 50% full when we were eating.
  10. And I can confirm that they did both the Chefs Table AND Wine Makers dinner on our cruise. (The internet was HORRIBLE so I could only respond once I got home.). (And we have all the patters which we will upload tomorrow (it’s after midnight here so we are going to bed!) because again there was no way to do it on the ship)
  11. Let’s see how energetic I get before I commit. 😎
  12. I sail on the 22nd and will check it out if no one does before that.
  13. Who cares what the Sommelier recommends. You have the wine list in front of you. If you want a different, more expensive wine, ask for it.
