Nowhere is that stated. On the older grand class ships, suites get access to the spa but starting with Royal Class ships, that was taken away with the introduction of the Enclave. I would hate for all suites to have access PLUS folks that can buy it. It was heaven when we sailed after the Pause as there was no one in there. Share with me if I am wrong so I can get my money back once onboard.

We are booking the thermal suite at $179 per person for a 9 day cruise. We will let you know how it is.

I will! As I said, I probably won’t do it on the cruise but when I get home. Easier to type on my work computer and I’m hoping to NOT bring that. Although we now have another day in Rome because KLM moved our flight (I know, poor me!) so maybe I can do it then.

All good questions so far. Occasionally, I will post the full list of questions so far. If I "like" you post that confirms that i saw it and added to my list. I will definitely be doing an overall comparison to the suite experience on other Princess ships (which is lacking at best) and the suite experience on Celebrity (which I love!). I have very high expectations for the suite experience on the Sun to rival X and be much better than my Princess suite experience to date. I'll let you know.

Already regretting I tried to help spread some information. Social media sucks. Even Cruise Critic. More of these and I’m shutting this down and not helping.

Okay, so I might regret this but… Since the Signature Collection experience of a “ship within a ship” concept is new to Princess, we all have a lot of questions. Since there are still a few cruises before I board, there might be people posting more information between now and then so it may become clear in the next few weeks. But so far I have been underwhelmed by the information here. (And I will NOT talk about the D0 cabin controversy!) So ask your SIGNATURE ONLY questions here and I will do my best to answer them. I will NOT answer them while on my cruise but will do a recap when I get home. And I really hope by posting this that I have not condemned myself to a life on cruise critic hell. Carry on…

There aren’t just enough people posting from the ship from the signature experience. I’m going to open a thread for Signature guests when I board (in roughly 4 weeks). I won’t promise to answer all the questions on my cruise as it’s my vacation but I will try to get the answers and post when I get home. so if no one does it before me, please be patient with me.

But I Am truly baffled by what they are.

I don’t know what are smoking but it ain’t cigarettes! I don’t know what those are and am baffled by them but they are NOT ashtrays. Ashtrays like that outside bars are extremely susceptible to fires and would not be allowed on cruise ships. I’ll report back in 4 weeks but if those are ashtrays, sent me your contact info and I’ll buy you a bottle of your favorite liquor (within reason) of your choice.

More room for me. Everyone is different. That’s what makes cruising so great!

Interested if those hours are for the Sun Princess too. Not many people reporting back. In a suit so I want to experience the Signature dinning room and leave those venues for lunches. Same with sushi.

We didn’t even say anything. We just walked into the lounge and I showed medallion. We had one friend with us and she gave us all a tender tickets and escorted us down to the tender.

I thought I read somewhere that those aft elevators were special for suites. Don’t know where I saw that so don’t slam me. It could easily be done with the medallion but not restrict people if they are with suite people. Anyone else see this? I get on April 8th and will take lots of notes and pics. Probably won’t report back until get home. You won’t see anything from the Arena as I don’t go to the shows but will try to report back on other things (except the buffet!).

Agreed! As someone who is only booking suites now, Princess has a LONG way to go to provide “ suite acceptable” service. Celebrity knows how to do it and is upping the game on her Edge class ships. Even the suite cabins are a joke compared to other cruise lines.

I read somewhere that they are for suite passengers only. Maybe our medallion will activate it. Obviously others will use it when a suite passenger is around. But the size shows that it’s not meant for all passengers. (I’ll let you know on April 8th)

Celebrity has The Retreat where suites are allowed and no one has a dedicated deck chair. It works fine. Sometimes it’s very crowded but most of the time we got a seat where we wanted.

When Celebrity revolutionized their fleet they created a Retreat area in full sun. Not good. When they built ships around the retreat, they have a pool and loungers and shade. I really don’t understand the people who built the Sun. Have they never cruised before?

I agree. The Sanctuary for non suite guests is really bad and the front is WAY better. So confused.

As long as it’s operational by April 8th. I’ll be there! Sounds wonderful!

It sounds crowded. Was it? Did people sign along? Being from Boston, I know all the Irish sing along songs.

Wait, they have a gym onboard!?! Is that a new feature? Never heard (or seen) a gym on a cruise ship before! 🤪
