Your Elite status means nothing. Booking dinner reservations is about how close you are to sailing. New ship with completely new dinning venues means it’s not the same process.

We just reserved it for April. $45 per person. Children up to 12 year is $22.50.

I’m on the fourth sailing so I’m going to look out for it and book it as soon as I can!

Yeah, it just looks really sad. (And I would not want a TV in the cabin at all if I could.)

Also the original poster is confusing the "cabana". The are three parts to the cabana cabins. The "cabana" is the small room between the main room and the balcony. The balcony is NOT the cabana part. It's a balcony cabin with a silly (in my opinion) extra transition space. (I think I'm right about this.) I would not bother with these types of rooms and especially not ones where your "balcony" looks out on the cabana deck. Who thought that was a good idea. Probably the same designers that wasted the aft view on a public staircase! 🙂 But different folks like different things. That's what's great about cruising!

Except for Dolphin deck on the later ships. The best balcony in the entire Princess fleet. (Shhh, don’t tell anyone! 😎)

And that’s my cabin in a few short weeks! We are so excited. The balcony is even better than we expected!

I am beyond excited for tomorrow and I don’t sail until April. I hope the first cruisers enjoy their vacation and don’t feel obligated to us. (But if anyone wants to post videos/pics/reviews we wouldn’t be upset. 🤪). I embark on April 8th and will help where I can but not at the detriment of my vacation.

Exactly. There is no way that can even hold half the people in suites. Or a quarter.

I didn’t want to complain as I’m trying to be optimistic about this new ship but the Signature lounge did look small compared to my imagined number of suite guests. The lounges on the Royal class ships are a joke.

Can we please stop? We don’t know for sure whether it’s a computer glitch or the real thing. People start arriving in 2 short days and can confirm either way.

Sadly, all I see is an avalanche of chair hogs rising early to put their stuff there for the day. I hope they enforce rules.

I did not see one in the real video of the cabins and the same design they built for another cruise line did not have it. There is a video of some famous cruise vloggers who stayed in that cabin and complained about it.

I too didn't think we needed reservations for the suite restaurant. You don’t for “club class”.

I don’t think there is a “door” on your “balcony” that you can open and walk onto the cabana deck. You have to walk out your cabin door, down the hall and come out onto the deck. I did not see one in image.

Dont worry. Just follow this thread. As soon as we can book specialty restaurants or the dinning room, we will let this board know! 🤪 I’m on the April 8th sailing and I’ll post immediately after it takes my specialty reservation. We are in a suite so I can’t comment on the Main Dining Room.

I agree. What you are describing is very normal for cruising, not just Princess. Doesn't sound like cruising is for you.

No one has been in the Sun Princess yet so no way to compare. Sailings start this weekend. I can give you my thoughts on the ship by the middle of April. I’m sure there will be tons of posts on the Princess board starting next week since Princess has does nothing to promote this ship.

I’ll let you know after my cruise in April. I have one on deck 17. I don’t expect a lot of people using them. I’m concerned most about secret smokers but hopefully it goes out to sea.

The original deck plans made it seem like only deck 17 had an aft view on the balcony. Now it looks like all decks have the same little space to view the wake. Still horrified that Princess wasted the aft view on a stair case.
