How many in your party? The price increases seem extreme especially if you have an email showing the original prices. We have booked Shared Shuttle from Hotel to Port, then Port to Airport. Despite the problems you had at the end of your cruise, were you pleased with them with regards to being on time and the cleanliness of the vans?

Can I ask why you think an 8AM pick up time to go to the airport is a bit late? I heard it’s about an hour to the airport. That would give them 4 hours at the airport prior to flight. I have a 1:50PM flight and was thinking of having shuttle transfer pick us up at the port at 9:30AM. I figure we could have an easier morning and less crowding when leaving for our long flight home. Does anyone think that won’t work?

We are taking a Mediterranean cruise and have been looking at different shore excursions. We have a couple excursions through NCL booked, a couple with Italy Tours booked and saw a couple of tours we liked with a company called Shore Excursions Group. Just wanted to know if anyone has used them and what they thought and would they recommend? TIA!!

That was my interpretation as well, but wanted to see if anyone had actual experience with it. The descriptions of the excursions are very confusing in my opinion.

If anyone has ever done this excursion through NCL could you please tell me if you actually get out of bus to see changing of the guard, temple of Zeus, etc? I know we get out and explore the Acropolis but not really sure about the others. Thx!

I have booked 2 tours with them for our November cruise. The one we chose out of Naples, The Classic Amalfi tour, did not have enough participants so we kept contacting them to get updates. They usually responded within 48 hours. The last email I got from them they told me that they only needed 2 more participants to confirm tour. I decided to go on that other social media site which had a group for my cruise and talked about this tour to see if anyone wanted to join. Within a few hours, I received the confirmation from Italy Tours that our tour was good to go.

OP here…Our flight, which was originally scheduled to leave at 12:40pm, now leaves at 1:50pm. Can we get off the ship around 9:15am with transfer at 9:30am? Not sure the latest we can leave the ship.

Which ship are you on? On our Getaway cruise last October we had the Premium Plus package. I was able to get 2 cans of unopened soda to bring back to cabin at the bar outside Garden Cafe. Did it everyday and was never told no. Not sure if this happens on every ship but it worked for us.

That’s what I was hoping to do. Picking up a few a day to keep in the room for drinking later.

I was watching some videos of the Celebration and noticed at Java Blue they have a grab and go case. I know these items are free of charge. I also saw next to that a beverage case. If you have the CHEERS package, are the canned sodas free? I know with CHEERS the drinks Java Blue serves are free, but wasn’t sure about actual cans of soda. Thx!

As of right now, we are booked on the excursion The Acropolis and Leisure which seems like the same one you took. I just wanted to see what actually you see at the Acropolis? I’ve read about the Acropolis but still confused by it all. Thx!

Thank you for all your helpful information! Even with the issues you had, I hope you enjoyed your trip. I can’t believe how long the line is/was at the airport. How long did it take for you to check in and go through security?

I see you’re doing the Cinque Terre excursion. Please let me know how it is. Right now we have the Cinque Terre on your own booked. If you think it was a good trip we’ll keep it but looking at doing another. We’ve been to Florence several times so looking at something different.

You can do it on the screens located around the ship. I would do it as soon as you can.

@Happycrafter123 Did you book a lot of NCL excursions? Which ports?

That wasn’t the case for us, but that was 4 years ago. Signing up early for the tender tickets might be the only way.

We bought tickets at the station. No need to buy ahead of time. Yes trains run all the time. Not sure how far apart but I think under 30 minutes. The train ride will take a little under an hour. As for the station being uphill or downhill, I really can’t remember. The city is very hilly. The walk to the palace is steep. We had gone in June and it was brutally hot. Your plan will work. We got off early and had several hours in Monte Carlo/ Monaco to walk all over and enjoy the sights and were back in plenty of time.

We did that back in 2019. It was super easy. After the tender dropped us off in Cannes, we walked to train station. Train ride wasn’t too long and we walked around Monte Carlo. We had no issues.

Was wondering if you could post MDR menus each night? We’ve never done a 10 nighter before so wanted an idea of the menus they use. Jealous you will be sailing soon. Only 193 more days until we board😔

That’s good to know. NCL (which we’ve cruised a lot) doesn’t let you use non-refundable OBC for the weekly gratuities or casino.

It’s been almost 7 years since we’ve sailed on Carnival. We finally decided to come back and try their new Excel class ship. We received OBC with our booking so wanted to know exactly what you can use non-refundable OBC for? Weekly gratuities? Casino? Thx!

Thank you so much! Even though our itineraries are different I would think the show days will be the same. Yes, we have Mykonos instead of Olympia and we get another sea day instead of Cannes (which we’ve already been to).

That’s awful for your son. I’m assuming the airline cancelled the flight? Not sure NCL will or can do anything but he can try. Call the airline as well. A good rule and tip when flying to cruise is to at least fly the day before just in case things like this happens. Hope it works out!

I’ll be following long as I’m on the November cruise. It’s a 10 day as well but with a slight different itinerary. It will be nice to know the days of certain entertainment for scheduling purposes. Have a great trip!!
