Yes she is. She was making her way to Port Canaveral for a 9 night leaving on Thursday but we all just got the email that NCL cancelled the whole cruise. A lot of us thought they might just make it a 7 night and leave Saturday. A lot of people scrambled with new flights or long haul drives to make it down here before the storm hits.

I really would like to know how the voucher would work at Teppanyaki. Does anyone ever order more than 1 entree?

Hope you have a wonderful cruise! With so few passengers the ship will fill empty. Did you make show reservations when you boarded? I was trying to figure out if Headliners still had it where you could book the shows and dining instead of having to go to different locations? We usually just use the screens to book shows but if we want to move dining around to it would be easier on my in laws.

I don’t recall anyone asking this in this thread but is there Coke or Pepsi on this sailing?

After looking at the Dailies that have been posted so far, I noticed that for dinner that both Taste and Savor are not offered each night but it’s one or the other, along with Tropicana. Could this be because the sailing is not full or because of staffing?

I don’t mind kids. I don’t mind kids who are excited and may get a little loud. I do mind rude kids and rude people. Luckily we haven’t had too many issues with that. However what we did and do mind, was when we would lay out, we went up to Deck 17, 18 or 19 (can’t remember exactly) that had a hot tub and the bar (before they took that portion away and made Vibe bigger) and parents would bring their young children up there who felt that they could use the hot tubs as their own pools. They would swim, kick and splash even when adults were in there just trying to relax. Then they would get mad when the adults would say something to them.

Loving it! Hope the weather has been good and you are enjoying yourself! I know when you board you can go to Headliners to book dining, but can you also book the shows there as well? I usually just use the screens but it would be nice to have the complete list in front of me so we can decide and switch dining reservations if we needed to.

My DH will be in Franklin for a meeting (and to visit our son) so I’ll tell him about it. We have gone to many distillery’s and he always enjoys them

That would be great if you could post the dailies but understand if you can’t/don’t it’s your vacation and want you to enjoy yourself. I would be happy if you just give the days the main shows were and the days the shows in Syd’s were. Yes we will be on the Getaway leaving out of Port Canaveral at the end of September. Can’t wait!

I have looked through posts but can’t seem to find exactly what I’m looking for so I thought I would ask. With the premium plus package are cans of soda included? If yes, can you get it unopened to be taken back to your room for later? Thx!

I have been on the Escape several times and loved it. Have not been on the Encore, but have been on the Bliss and Joy and really enjoyed both of them, but both of these ships have Spice H2O and Encore does not (but with a 17 year old that doesn’t matter). The Encore doesn’t have a lot of “free” open sun deck space if that matters to you but has a lot of for fee activities that everyone may enjoy. You would just have to look at what each ship offers and see what you all would like.

We usually book as soon as we board. We use the touch screens you find on each floor near the elevators. Never had any issues. You can also go to the box office but they aren’t usually open until later in the afternoon (I could be wrong about the timing).

They haven’t allowed on-line booking of the main shows before the cruise for some time. You can book them and comedy shows once onboard. However, you can’t book The Beatles shows as they are first come first serve. I suggest getting there at least 40 minutes when the show is in The Cavern Club. Well worth seeing!

Which Terminal and parking garage does the Getaway use at Port Canaveral?

I was hoping for another “live” of the Getaway! I know @graphicguydid one not too long ago but it’s nice to see another one. Have a great trip!

I haven’t been able to actually find the answer to this, but with the premium plus, can you get cans of soda so that you can bring back to your cabin and not just the fountain ones?

We will be on the Getaway which does not have a Cellars. I’m wondering which bar would have the best selection of wines besides the dining rooms?

When it comes to the angled balconies on the Getaway, is it better to have one that angles to the front or angles to the back? Which one do you prefer and why?

Does your son like go karts, laser tag and virtual reality games or would he like ropes course and basketball? We have been on several cruises when our son was a teen and to our surprise he preferred the ropes course and basketball. It will really be what your son prefers. Take into account that the go karts, laser tag and virtual reality (only on 2:ships I think) all cost extra.

I have it for our upcoming September Getaway cruise. I drink wine so it will be nice to have more choices when it comes to having glasses and also being able to get bottles at dinner and of course the Veuve. I’m sure I will also use the high end for mix drinks.

We cruised in December when NCL was still doing at pier testing and it was so simple and very convenient. We did do our own test a couple days before just to be safe but no running around looking for a place to get a verified test.

It’s been awhile since I was on the Getaway (2018) and it was before the refurbishment, but where is a good place for a Martini? Also, what bar has the best and/or extensive wine menu?

Loving your trip so far! Have you found Veuve by the glass? If so, was it at bars outside of the restaurants?
