Thanks! Would they be there once you get off ship and out of the terminal? We would definitely do walk off and try and get off as early as possible but not sure the best time to schedule pick up.

We will be disembarking the Breakaway at Civitecchia on November 12th. We want to catch a 12:40pm flight back to the states. Would it be ok to book the NCL transfer to airport and do they guarantee to get you to airport with plenty of time for check in? If we use an outside company what time do you tell them to come and will they be right outside once we get out of terminal?

I also saw that in Teppanyaki the Filet has been replaced with New York Strip.

Very disappointing. They are also adding a $10 supplement dining plan charge to Le Bistro’s beef tenderloin. We got a great deal on a Greece/Italy cruise using up FCC and military discount so this might be our last NCL cruise for awhile. Cutbacks on the things we enjoyed with NCL just don’t make it a decent value anymore.

Someone posted in another thread, regarding vouchers, that they saw Le Bistro now has a $10 Dining Package Supplement to their Tenderloin entree. I looked at my reservation and the sample menu and I do see it as well. I was wondering for anyone cruising now, who has gone to Le Bistro, if this is in fact true.

Wow! No matter how you are paying, they will charge you the $10.

After reading this thread I went and looked at my Breakaway cruise for November and under Onboard Entertainment Syd’s is no longer there. I remember seeing it there before so I guess NCL is changing this. I hope they come up with a good band because it’s nice being able to go out for a few drinks and listen to live rock type music. When we were on the Getaway in October, the nights the band performed were always packed.

We will be on NCL Breakaway 10 day cruise next year roundtrip from Civitecchia. We have flight scheduled on disembarkation day at 12:40pm (going back to the states). If we use the NCL transfer will we be at airport with enough time for flight? Do NCL transfer guests get off quicker? Thx!

We were just on the Getaway. NFL games were playing but we did not find any college games or World Series.

We just got off the Getaway and it was Coke products. I know for sure they had Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, Diet Sprite and Ginger Ale. I also think they had Fanta or whatever that is called. My DH likes Coke Zero but we did not find it anywhere.

We did not have the FAS Plus just the beverage plus. I like wine so the dinner choices were far better and if you wanted the bottle, you got a bottle. I also can’t count how many glasses of Veuve we had. We also went to Starbucks a couple of times a day and my DH got the Bio Steel drinks (think Gatorade) a lot. My DH also tried the various rums, tequila’s and almost anything else that were over the $15 limit. Since this was the first time we had it we might have gone overboard but I would get it again just for the better wines.

OP here! Since I just got home from our week on the Getaway I thought I would answer my own question. We had Premium Plus (which I highly recommend) and I was able to get unopened cans of Diet Coke. After we had breakfast in the buffett, we would go to the juice/outdoor bar and I could get 2 unopened cans. The first time I asked for a soda, the bartender asked if I wanted fountain or can. I’m not sure if it’s like that on other ships but it was on the Getaway!

We are on this cruise. I’d rather go to Amber Cove instead of Nassau.

I was able to use FCC from a recently cancelled cruise for a cruise I have already booked. Instead of just applying the amount as a payment, they said they had to adjust my cruise fare. It worked so I don’t really care how they did it.

We are on the next cruise. I too am curious why they aren’t going to DR. Missing the private island seems to be a normal thing so Won’t be surprised if that happens. I have been trying to find out from last week cruisers or this week what days Million Dollar Quartet is showing. I just want a little bit of preparedness before I board. I hope your son and his wife are enjoying their cruise even with the changes!

Are you talking about the Rumours show or all the times the band is playing?

Is this a new thing to where the Haven guests get in to Syd’s or Cavern Club before all others? I’ve never seen that as we have always been able to get into these venues early without having people already in there.

Looking at the photos of the observation lounge I thought the same thing. People are going to camp out on the daybeds and take naps. I really don’t see how anyone would want to lay down in a public space and nap.

I’m bummed about not being able to go, but we are sitting here about to get walloped by Ian so we might not have been able to go anyway. I think a lot of people were hoping that they would just make it a 7 night and leave Saturday but then if NCL had to cancel that as well, more angry people. Definitely a no win situation all around.
