The Seabourn Veranda Suites and E OT's are one square foot apart in size! It's amazing how you can make a room seem bigger or smaller with design and space allocation. I am hoping that E 3 and onwards address the bathrooms - the luxury segment expects a dual sink and many of their Penthouses currently have the bathroom open directly onto the bed - a very large design fail.

I would ordinarily call you a cranky-pants but I will cede this point ....🤷‍♂️ Let's see if they're willing to change while on board....

Thanks soooooo much for taking the time to photograph, comment on and post! I'm disappointed to see that one of my oft referred to pet peeves has not been solved. I notice that there is live music in three lounges simultaneously from about 6:30 to 7:15 and then nothing until 8:30. It would be very easy to stagger the groups so that there's continuous live music. Explora has repeatedly stated that they want you to dine when you want and not have to miss entertainment but when all the music stops at 7:15, they're basically saying: "GO EAT!!!"

As a fellow cruise fanatic who (I think...) is a bit older than you are, I am disappointed (but not surprised) to hear this. I am one of the truly lousy sleepers out there so travel with ear plugs (useless) and sleeping pills (addictive but.....). I am increasingly reading reviews of new ships with some amazing noise issues - while I'm not an engineer, I guess it's related to how the actual cabins are inserted, attached and insulated to the hull. If you want a laugh, do a Google search on Celebrity Beyond Noise and watch the YouTube videos .... it literally sounds like the cabin is being attacked by a rabid posse of squirrels and (do they get rabies?) woodpeckers! Thanks again for you much appreciated and excellent review!

I have been intrigued by photos of the digital prints in the cabins as I was certain that they were by an artist that I have always enjoyed. I was at the opening of Art Toronto today and the gallery owner confirmed that Explora commissioned two pieces by English Printmaker Phil Shaw. The prints of the book titles are meant to be read in sequence starting at the top left. The print pictured was selling at $6660 USD.

Yacht Club was primarily European with few exceptions. It really “flipped” me from my past preference for New World wines.

🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️ An “early” dinner for us is 8 - our cruise lives usually consist of our arriving in a lounge for a cocktail and hearing the dulcet sounds of: “thanks - you can hear us later in the (insert name of lounge here) and the Muzak then being clicked on!

Much appreciated- I’m farrrrrr too lazy to post on board! I’m disappointed that there’s no live music between 7:15 and 8:30. That’s almost universally my pet peeve - no entertainment before dinner if you like to dine late.

It's a very nice itinerary as Newfoundland is really not a usual destination and Sydney is an excellent gateway to the Cabot trail. Sunny weather and rough seas with high winds aren't mutually exclusive! In any case, hope that everyone has a great time!

These are astonishing numbers - they really do make RCI, Carnival and NCLHI look like rounding errors! The sniffy attitudes among many on these boards re Explora/MSC will have to face some new realities!

We’re very lucky in Toronto - MANY maisons d’boiled bagels with brick ovens! A delicious caloric nightmare !

If it ain’t boiled, it’s not a bagel - it’s a 🥯-oid imposter! brick oven vs electric or gas open to debate but I’ll always opt for open flame 🔥 brick 🧱 oven! No hotel or ship EVER serves a true boiled bagel.
