  1. I have been on all oasis class multiple times. I only live 45 min from Ft. Lauderdale and an hour and 10 min to Miami, 2 hours to port canaveral. Even look into flying into Ft. Lauderdale and staying there. It’s not a far car transfer to Miami. Only about 35 min and usually cheaper. I would go with whatever is cheaper. They are all more similar than different. Can’t go wrong with any of them.

Trying to organize a group dinner on a sailing on the Oasis this spring. They offered two seating options, 5:30 and 8:30. I’m concerned about choosing 8:30 If the restaurant closes soon after, we don’t want to feel rushed. But if the restaurant seats individual guests past 8:30 maybe they stay open late? Anyone know? Thanks!

I think they close at 9:30. No worries they will not be rushing you out.

  3. My son flew to Singapore and got on Spectrum yesterday. Omg he loves the ship more than all other royal ships he has been on. He has gone on Anthem but said the vibe is so different out of Asia. Lucky kid, he is 24 and did a Royal internship with Royal over summer and are letting him take cruises nearly free. Have fun.

Harmony is 122 feet at the beam, Wonder is 137 feet at the beam.  Icon will be the widest at 213 feet.

I was posting on the person who said wonder is a whole other story. That wonder is so much wider. It’s a few feet difference on all oasis class. Nothing that will ever be noticed

I would pick Harmony over Odyssey just because of the Central Park and Boardwalk areas. The high tech shows are ok but I would prefer Grease, again and again. Also, prefer the nice Promenades on Oasis class vs the cut-up Esplanade on Odyssey, where you cannot view the Esplanade from one end to the other as the walls are jagged and not people-watcher friendly IMO. Personal preferences I guess!

As far as the width, I don't believe there's much difference between these two, maybe a little. However, the Wonder of the Seas is another story! She is very, very wide!!

Wonder is no wider than Harmony

We are on Voyager in February and are in a junior suite on the hump - deck 9.  We opted to get the key during the Black Friday sale because we needed internet and it was a couple dollars more. Royal up is available for both grand and owner suits for reasonable amounts. Question is the suite life on Voyager worth it? From what I can see most are located on Deck 10 below public spaces and don't include much in terms of amenities.  Would love to hear your thoughts 🙂

You definitely didn’t need to get the key. When you buy the Internet the second one is cheaper. Not worth any extra money.

They assigned me a time and a restaurant for night 1 with my unlimited dining package. 150 Central Park at 5:30pm, which I changed, but I definitely had a reservation.

One of the few that get assigned. I never get assigned or maybe I don’t know because I just get on and book all mine for the week asap

My understanding is that those with any packages more than 1 night get the 1st or 2nd night time assigned but cannot choose the restaurant or times/venues for the other nights until onboard.

They never assign you the time or restaurant when u buy a package. Even if it says that it doesn’t happen. I sailed 4 times this year all on oasis class ships and never had any problems getting all my Restaurants and times when I boarded

Okay, I know I'm fixating on this, but -- as I said -- my husband has minor mobility issues, and it really matters to me.  So do I understand:

    - The traffic pattern /hallways on 7th floor are like an upside down "U".

    - You could walk from the left-side Rock Climbing Wall ... down the hallway past the left-side aft elevators ... past rooms ... past the left-side forward elevators ... to the right-side forward elevators ... past rooms ... past the right-side aft elevators ... back to the right-side Rock Climbing Wall.

    - You cannot "cross over" from one aft elevator to the other.

    - You could see one Rock Climbing Wall from the other, but you could not walk from one to the other.

If I understand correctly, I'm FINE with this traffic pattern.

Looking at pictures of the Wonder's Promenade, I note that the windows in the Promenade View rooms aren't bay windows.  I particularly liked that on Indy.

I'm getting the idea that Promenade Cafe (which we know and enjoy) is essentially the same as the Park Cafe ... they're just two places to accommodate the large numbers of guests?

Two different places. Park cafe is in Central Park. Open till around 6pm.

  10. The one port I would actually not park at port is Port Everglades. Park N Go is awesome. We live only 40 min from it and always park there for cruise or airport. They are very quick at getting you to port and take you right to car when you return. Give you a bottle of water on your way out.
Now if you are parking in Miami I would definitely stay at port.

  11. The closet on symphony, harmony and wonder are so much better than the old style. No your suitcase will not lay on floor but it provides so much room.
    yes, the TVs swivel.
yes, Johnny Rockets has breakfast for free.
deck 7 is not great but with promenade view you may have to. The back of deck 7 does not go through. You have to go up or down a level to get across ship.
Oasis class ships are our favorite. A great ship overall.

You do have to wait until you board, but you don't have to go to a restaurant. They'll have a bunch of kiosks set up on the promenade where staff will have iPads to make the reservations for you. You can't miss them; they're right when you walk onto the ship.

You can also go to a restaurant and do it I think (assuming someone will be at the front desk in the restaurants, which they may not be since most of them aren't usually open).

The restaurants do have someone taking reservations even though they are closed on first day. All of them
