I’ve lost a few more pounds. Thankfully I’m not in a cruise right now.

So my TMJ is definitely acting up. I was told by the RD today that my jaw mobility is very limited. It is moving less than half of its normal amount, when shifting it left to right horizontally. More importantly, the amount it should open fully is very limited. I should be able to open it 6cm, I can only open it 1.2cm. To put it into terms my American friends will relate to; 2.36” is the normal opening amount and I’m only getting .47” of opening. I now have a repositioning oral splint that I have to wear for the next week, hoping to get my jaw lined up better. I have to wear it all day, all night except for eating. I’m just hoping this will help.

I've tried hot and cold with no luck.

The emails do not go to the executives, but are handled by their assistants. When I had an issue and emailed Micheal Bailey’s office it was handled by Aurora. We even had a few phone calls to figure it out. She also sends out corporate emails to the masses when cruises are changed for hurricanes, emergency cruise cancellations due to mechanical failures etc…. It's not to say there there are not generic responses but emails do not just go to call centres.

I stopped taking them when you said it. Advil isn’t helping either. In the resting position all is good, try to open the jaw and it is another story.

My TMJ is still a thing with my DR appointment being Tuesday afternoon. At this point it is no better and I’ve lost 5lbs from eating less. Heck of a diet plan.

Quick Owen sports update. Their football team lost on Friday, to what is probably the hardest team they will play all season. Their hockey team lost as well, but played much better than the night before. Owen laid out a few players with clean hits, and their team took a lot of penalties. They had at least 10, with one double minor and another player getting a 10 minute misconduct. We played the same team the night before and they had 2 double minors and a ten minute misconduct as well. Owen did make the AE Team Friday night. How does the team celebrate, they had a practice last night. At least it was at 7, and only for 50 minutes. What about Lucy you ask, she sleeps obviously. She must have been up all night. This was her minutes ago.

We had it happen once in Labadee as well. The guest was being to DR by chopper and then was being flight transferred to Miami. You are the first Lenny. I looked at Bret and can see it. Me too.

After reading about these interactions, perhaps your guide was the "Troll" of Norway that you were meant to meet. He sounds like the "ugliest" thing you saw there.

Last night was the second to last of the hockey tryout games. One more tonight at 8, hours from home. Football season begins today. It probably won't be a strong season, but it is what it is. Owen is game day dressed.

Noted. My appointment with the specialist isn’t until next Tuesday, so hopefully that combined with exercises I found on YouTube will help relieve some of the pain I feel.

Many thanks. I see the specialist Tuesday next week. My dentist told me to take Robax Platinum to help with the muscle relaxer in the meantime.

So anyone ever have a problem with their TMJ? Mine started to act up last Wednesday and hasn’t improved any at this point. I went to the dentist yesterday and they have referred me to a specialist. I’m just waiting to get a call from their office. I am able to eat, with some effort and I have no issues communicating. That said, I can’t open my mouth further than an inch without great pain. Even putting a fork into my mouth hurts, just by the angle. Great fun, but at least I am at home and not away somewhere.

We are thinking about going to an AI in November, simply because a cruise on RC has become too costly in comparison to what they were priced at before. A JS now is more than what a CLS cost in 2019.

Welcome back to life at sea.

Princess has had other unfortunate situations that I can think of quickly. The Grand Princess made a tight in 2006, 2 hours out of Galveston, which injured guests and caused damage within the ship. The Grand also had a hydraulic cylinder on a door fail, which cancelled their Hawaii sailing in 2016. Then there was the Star Princess fire. It happens to all lines, either be it weather or mechanical failures that can’t be foreseen.

Surprised the cabanas are so "economical". Compared to the Beach Club, these are deals. 😂 Really, they are.
