  1. NCL paid their expenses to get to where they eventually boarded the ship, so they didn't totally stick to policy. That was a gesture that I would not have expected had I missed the ship.
  2. They booked their own excursion, to go off with a guide they never met in the same dangerous place. One would like to think the same guide would at least get them headed in the right direction to the next port of call, not to mention the NCL port agent is there to assist.
  3. That makes sense. Add to that the purchase the land on each side of the bridge, zoning etc... Who knows what type of permits they need for a structure that is built in 2 different countries and how long that would have taken. It is rather interesting thinking about it, as a person not associated with this type of job.
  4. We did. The pop package was the same price Canadian as what you posted. Drink package $140 a day per person. 🤦‍♂️
  5. The Windsor bridge is a few hours away from me. I follow a guy on Instagram who frequently posts photos of the work. Below are some of of his latest shots. I left his info on the screen shots if anyone wants to follow his account. Unlike Baltimore this bridge isn’t being constructed in a “hurried” fashion.
  6. Found this today. Looks like things are starting to move. Not sure how accurate it is as it just a random guy talking, but it is interesting.
  7. I forgot to get a photo of the meal plate, but I did take pics of dessert. Maple syrup pie. That’s right, syrup in the pie filling as well in the homemade whipped cream. I added a scoop to my coffee with cream. Then added candied pecans. Lucy was like, what about me when we got home.
  8. A few photos from yesterday’s Easter dinner at the MIL. Table is set. Pork loin and scalloped potatoes. Yet to be cooked beans. Homemade instant pickles. Salad.
  9. It appears as though their last posts on CC were this thread, so I’m not sure if they will get back to you.
  10. Agreed. I thought earlier in the thread someone posted that dangerous goods can’t go in the tunnels, therefore they travelled on the bridge.
  11. Twice in the same thread. Very impressive.
  12. Time to fire up your camera Chief. YouTube is waiting and I’d subscribe.
  13. Our entire province has been given a PA Day for grade and high school students. Only a small sliver of our province is in the zone of greatest eclipse viewing zone but they all get it. Meanwhile they could be at home, while their parents are at work, and stare at the sun. Makes on sense to me. Maybe as I get older I’ll understand it better. 😉
  14. When did eclipses become such an “emergency for safety”. In my life I have lived through multiple ones (5 I can easily think of) without losing my sight and 2 of them I was in grade school. Rules for eclipse haven’t changed, I guess society has just gotten dumber. With warnings in coffee cups I guess I should not be surprised. I was in San Francisco during this eclipse. We were driving there from Monterey and were just checking into the hotel at the height. Afterwards we went to Alcatraz.
  15. I wish it had been true. Having watched the video it is amazing that 2 survived.
