The CL will be up in the Viking Crown, so will be accessible via the same elevator bank than was very near the old CL.
Thanks for the info. Was trying to pull up deck plans on their website - but believe it or not the website is having issues.

We are sailing on Oasis for Thanksgiving. I picked two room right near the CL. I am sailing with my 80 year old mom and she can't walk very far. She loved going into the CL for breakfast, lunch and pre dinner drinks.
Does anyone know if breakfast and lunch will be served when it moves to the Viking Lounge?
I might end up trying to move rooms.
On the upside I LOVE the views from the Viking.

I will be traveling with my mom. She is 80 and can not walk long distances. Would this be a place she would enjoy? I will also have my 16 year old with me - looks like there is a bunch of stuff for her to do there.

Search the thread - a few years ago someone asked this question and got a TON of ideas.
A fun one could be while climbing the falls in Jamaica.

The inside rooms are COLD. Dinning rooms, theaters, bars - bring a sweater or two.

Husband, maybe the kids.;)
I would say kids, maybe the husband.

The list was just displayed but if I can add one thing to this, if you chum up to a particular bartender and maybe grease the skids with a little cash tip with each free drink you receive, it's very likely after the first drink you won't be limited to that list anymore. Just sayn'. I'm not saying to count on it - I'm just saying that's been my experience so far. ;)
I am a beer girl. However the beers offered in the CL lounge are awful. I would always end up leaving and going to a bar to buy a good beer. Hopefully I can talk the bartender into giving be something better.

I have cancelled before and received refunds right away. I am in the US - so not sure if that makes a difference.
I would call.

His parents won't let him come.

Your travel agent will have to get the pricing info from Royal. I do know that if you want to take advantage of the 3/4 person free, your cruise would be re-priced to current prices.
We paid around 1800 total for the 1st and 2nd in the room - now it is 5031. So I really don't want it repriced!! I will pay for him but don't know what they would charge. If he wasn't 14 I would just get him his own inside cabin - would probably be less money.
TA still isn't open and I off to the doctor.

My mother is driving me insane. She doesn't think anything will ever sell out. She is in room 11276 on Oasis. Currently she is booked in there with my daughter. We booked ages ago for a great price. The room does have a sofa bed. She wants to invite along another grandchild. I have tried to tell her that just because there is room in the room doesn't mean they can add him b/c of the lifeboat situation. Keep in mind she isn't 100% sure he can even go yet.
So when we booked the rooms were cheap - very cheap. Now they are not cheap but now they are offering 3rd and 4th person in the room is free. What would they do? Would we have to cancel her reservation and rebook and the new higher cost? Would they add him at the price they were charging when we did book? My mom doesn't walk very well so I spent a lot of time making sure she had the perfect room location. I don't want her to lose the room. Also, we have already paid in full so if we need to cancel and rebook would they waive the fees?
I am sure someone on here has added someone to the reservation at the last minute.
TIA

It is so nice of you to try to figure out ways to help them!
Enjoy your cruise!

While I was fortunate enough to have a friend house sit and watch my chi for my last cruise, I have a kennel I've boarded her at twice and feel 100% confident leaving her there. Instead of a tiny cage, I book her in a "townhouse" suite complete with a toddler bed and tv tuned into the animal planet. There's a lot more room for her which I like because she's not in a kennel at home when we are gone. I pay for extra one on one play time and she's let out about 4 times a day.
Don't get me wrong, I still cry when I drop her off. But I do feel better having her there.

She is beautiful! I used to board my dogs when I just had two. But then as the family grew the costs for boarding became insane. (I really am in the wrong business!!) At one place I paid extra for cable. I am a loser.

Not sure where to post this. But since Im be sailing on RC. Ill ask here. Ok so some people wont understand this. A long story short. A friend just passed away and now Im the proud owner of his dog. Its a Chi. He knows me really well so the transition has been very smooth. My question is how do you deal with leaving your pet at a Boarding place while cruising? Im afraid Ill miss him to much. Yes he gets spoiled rotten. I missed him when I was on my last cruise and he wasnt even mine. Anything you can tell me to ease my mind? I cant leave him with a relative because he doesnt know any of my family. So I think boarding will make things easier. I just dont know what to do. Please there is no need to post on this if you dont have anything nice to say.
I have 2 cats and three VERY large dogs. Boarding is expensive and make me worry non stop. I have someone come stay at my house. I found the most amazing person thru http://www.dogvacay.com She is AMAZING. She stays at the house and takes care of ALL the monster, plus the house. She was charging $30 per day but I convinced her to up her fees to 40. Boarding I was paying 80 PER DOG. And I still had to have someone come take care of the cats. Look into hiring someone who is insured to come stay at your house. You and your new baby will be much happier.

PS Thank you for taking in your friends dog. So many dogs end up shelters after their owners pass away. Thank you!

I went there while sailing with HAL. AMAZING stops. I would LOVE to go again. I wish RC would sail there.

OK so I just booked a cruise with a friend of my for late September (pray no storms) ... In Atlantis ... the excursions from the ship are wicked expensive! In looking at other sites, you can do the same Atlantis excursion for a lot less by buying the ticket at Atlantis. So my question is ... our ship gets to the Bahamas around noon ... In late September ... if we decide to not get off the ship until 2-3pm in the afternoon, will we still be able to do the 'Tour Atlantis' type excursion (where we basically do the aquarium, but not the beach or the water park)...
Feedback appreciated!
If you are not going to the aqua park you will be fine.

No, working fine for me.
Ugh. I was hoping others were having issues. I was on last night and today - but the time the screens come up I forget what I was doing. I am not having issues with their entire site - just in "my cruises" trying to reserve things. Maybe I will have better luck tomorrow.

Trying to decide which will be faster - reserving shows and excursions online or flying to their offices in Miami and asking them to do it for me. The website is painfully slow when making reservations. Is anyone else having this issue??

My family eats meat and I don't. I went to chops with them and was just going to have side dishes but the waiter would NOT hear of it. He pretty much showed me every menu from every venue and told me to pick something and he would go get it. I really wasn't hungry and would have been totally happy with side dishes - but he would not take no for an answer. I finally just said pasta - since I knew that was right next door. Hopefully the waiter can find something for your husband to eat.

I loved Hairspray. Hated Cats. Saw it twice once on Broadway and once with the touring company. Didn't enjoy it either time.
At least that will be one thing I don't have to worry about trying to do while on vacation.

Depending on the source of the obc you can go to the front desk and ask for cash. I once ended up with an OBC of about 2k. Every time we stopped in port I would go get spending money.
