She is also on coffee bar outside Princess live in the mornings.  Keeps

me from having to go to IC and those snarky guys.
I’ve been on since Nov 3rd.  Not all that impressed.  Same old Princess - right hand  doesn’t know what left hand is doing.

I got the phone number of their responses to reviews in the Google Play Store but an interesting thing has happened. When I just tried to access the reviews, I get an error message.  I can't even access my review.  So, I can't get the number.  You might try calling Princess and ask for Medallion Support, they should be able to connect you.  Sorry I couldn't be more help.

    Thanks

There is a major issue with MedallionClass that needs to get addressed especially now that OceanReady only points you to MedallionClass.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 running Android 9 and my husband has a Galaxy S9 also running Android 9.  When we open the app, everything freezes as the opening screen. None of the buttons work.  I've deleted the app, restarted my phone, reinstalled the app, granted permissions and get the same result. I've deleted all the other Ocean apps I have on my phone, reinstalled MedallionClass and it still freezes. Nothing seems to help.  There are 2 other people I know who also have Galaxy S8's and have exactly the same issue.

I have an old Galaxy Tab A running Android 7.1.1 and tried loading MedallionClass on it and it works!  So, it would seem that the problem is either an incompatibility with Galaxy S phones or Android 9.

We have a cruise that leaves Nov 3 (Sky Princess) and need to have someone at Medallion support understand that this is a problem that needs a resolution before then.  When the latest update to OceanReady took away our ability to use it, it became clear that the assumption is that MedallionClass works for everyone.  Please understand that it doesn't.

I have an iPhone 10 with the latest system updates and having similar problems today trying to get into Ocean Ready.  It either freezes or just crashes.  I also deleted and reinstalled which did not help.

Also on the Sky Nov. 3rd.  So who do you call???

I am happy this worked out, and glad the couple got a cabin. Hopefully, all will be well going forward.

As a TA, it disappoints me to see some of the practices in the industry. There are times when we get calls from people who have paid money for trips to other agencies, and the trips don't materialize and they are hoping we can fix it. Last year, someone brought me a flyer where they had paid a $1200 deposit ($600 pp x 2) in check form to join a small group tour to South America and now could not reach the agent, and no details or bookings had been forthcoming, and they were scheduled to leave in less than 2 months.  It is disheartening, but I think it's the same in every industry - some great, many good, some bad.

As a TA, the best advice I can give to a travel consumer is that when you provide a credit card for a deposit or a payment, this amount should be charged from the actual service provider, not from the travel agency. Whether it is a group or individual booking. Whether it is a cruise, tour, lodging, components, or air.

Happy travels, and enjoy your trip!

I’m glad the particular couple finally got a cabin.

I totally agree with the poster above.  Appears this TA for the group pocketed some money from the get go.  Like Coral, I try as much as possible to book directly with Princess but I do have an upcoming cruise booked with a TA.  Very reputable, national on line agency and they did save me a couple hundred $$ on the cabin on expensive cruise.  I immediately checked my personalizer to make sure everything was correct.  I also checked my booked cruises once a week or so just to make sure Princess hasn’t made any changes.  There is always someone trying to rip you

    off.

  5. So sorry for your loss and hope you are getting the support you need.  Any type of Salmonella is typical bacteria that causes food poisoning.  I suffered a terrible bout of food poisoning on the Regal in March from eating a late after noon snack from the buffet.  Just a few slices of cheese that must have been left out too long.  I knew it was food poisoning because as soon as I got it all out of me - I was ok.  I tend to think the is what happened to your beloved wife.  Because of differences in pre-health status, she probably wasn't able to overcome it and antibiotics need to be started ASAP with Salmonella infections.

    Hang in there Charles.

It's currently not on the medallion rollout list. Most of those on demand TVs have been installed on the ships receiving the medallion upgraded. Along with the medallion net.

There are abundant rumors around that the Pacific is up for sale and given it’s not on the Medallion rollout it’s more than likely true.

    Thanks Tony.   Appreciate your response.

  8. My Mom passed away last week with my Dad passing away 20 yrs ago.  They were avid Princess cruisers as I am.  My Mom always said she wanted their ashes released at sea from a cruise ship.  Does anyone know if Princess would do a brief service like this for me?  I am the only family they had.

I have posted here due to frustration with the situation. We asked for a blanket on day one and got it on day 3. Asked for the robe on day one and got it on day 3. Removed dirty champagne glasses this morning after 4 days of them being there dirty and they were placed back on the desk - dirty. We have used the door card every single day. he hasn't cleaned or left new linen in the evening on any day....I could go on and on.

I believe we will go to the desk in the morning to complain. I shouldn't have to ask him to clean, we are in a mini suite and this is far and away the worst service we have ever had. I shouldn't have to ask him to wash glasses and, no I am not washing them! I am not a prima donna but I am also not washing dishes in the cabin.

Why are you being sooo passive aggressive and posting here rather than taking care of the issue?  “I believe I will go to the front desk today” and “I think we will complain soon” certainly indicates your behaviors are actually more detrimental than the cabin steward’s.

I just heard that the Regal will be 7 hours late getting into Ft Lauderdale.  I hope all is well and the are able to fix the issue.

We just got the email but not didn't mention times etc and said they will send another email at approx 10 pm tonight.  We live about 1 hr from port so hanging out here is not a problem.  Just hope cruise isn't cancelled or ports cancelled.  They can cancel Princess Cay and it wouldn't bother me in the least.

  11. We are on the 7 day cruise leaving tomorrow on the Regal and just received emergency notification from Princess that high probability ship will be delayed getting into Ft. Lauderdale as they are having problems with propulsion and speed has been decreased.  They said they will send another email about 10 pm tonight to less us know if embarkation will be delayed and what time they expect to start boarding.

Just thought I'd let you know.

There has always been a letter in our suite the first day telling us we were entitled to Club Class dinning.  If you were signed up for traditional rather than anytime dinning, you would not be offered Club Class dining as it is strictly anytime.  The dining room staff in Club Class, Mark and Sonja,  were excellent when we were aboard Jan 26 - Feb 23, 2019.

No not true, full suites pax are offered club class regardless.  There was no letter, we asked numerous MDR staff and no one knew anything about it, spoke to MD who mumbled something about club class that neither myself or partner could understand, spoke to Captain Circle person who didn’t know anything about it.

Finally spoke with customer service manager on board who confirmed we were supposed to get letter etc but by that time cruise was almost over.  This experience plus the terrible buffet completely turned us off on this ship

This voyage would have been sold several ways:

    a) just the 15 days

    b) just the 13 days

    c) all 28 days

Cabins sold for just the 13 days or just the 15 days would be shown as not available for all 28 days. Similarly, cabins available for the full 28 days would be shown as not available for just the 15 days and just the 13 days.

When you say "sold out", were you referring to the 28 days as a single booking or the 13 days as a second booking to go along with your original booking? The rep that helped you may have been able to move an available cabin from one of the ways not sold out to give you the booking you wanted.

I was originally booked on Just the TA then decided to add the 14 day Med portion.  She was able to add that - BA guarantee.  It could have been that between the time I was traveling and met with her on board, some cabins opened up but at least I was glad I asked her.

Surely, you may well be correct.  My long cruise experiences (and having friends who regularly sail HAL's world cruise and some of their other long cruises and who share their experiences with me) indicate that the guest count can vary from year to year.  Some of the long cruises are totally sold out.  Others are not.  A recent long Grand Asia cruise on the Amsterdam sailed very much under-capacity.  Guest count can vary based upon a number of factors including the itinerary and the state of the economy.

Your comment of "Its all about the $$$" certainly applies to the alterations done to Island Princess.  Management must have decided those alterations didn't work as planned since Coral Princess seems to have escaped those poor decisions.  HAL's Veendam and Rotterdam suffered under the same kind of poor management decisions.  The remaining S-Class ship and the other 3 R-Class have not been subjected to the same butchery that the Veendam, Rotterdam, and Island Princess experienced.  All in the name of "the bottom line".

You are comparing apples and oranges with HAL and PCL.  I cruise with PCL st least 3 times per yr for at least 15-30 day trips and the ship is almost Always sold out.

As Keith said, “it’s all about the Benjamins baby.”

  15. My least fav Princess ship.  I avoid it.  Do not like FMP buffet as food is weird and often the same everyday.  Hotel staff are very good but dining room staff & MD leave a lot to be desired.  We were in full suite and no one bothered to tell us we were entitled to Club Class dining.

  16. This TA was opened up to Elite passengers when I was on the Crown TA in November so I immediately snagged an inside cabin for myself.  I was also able to rebook my Sky TA in November from 15 days to the full 28 day passage which Princess kept saying was sold out.  If you are going on a cruise anytime soon, see the future cruise person on the ship.  They can sometimes get you in even though website or reps say sold out.  They are really helpful

  17. Sorry but not PCL fault.  Sounds like flights  were booked with that arrival time and it does take time to get off the plane and get the luggage.  If the boat leaves at 4 pm hooking up with the rep at the airport isn’t going to cut it.

Hello, I am new to cruising and I'm looking at a Mediterranean cruise starting from Athens on Princess Emerald.

I would like to get a stateroom in OZ category. The only available rooms are E118, E119, E120, E121 and E216.

Does anyone have any information and recommendation on these rooms? Which is the best room out of these selection? Any info would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Emerald deck front is right above theater and can be very noisy at night.  I try and stay away from Emerald deck cabins
