I've looked at both the Canadian and US sites and see no change to the Healthy at Sea pages. Could you provide us with a link?

If you click Healthy at Sea, then Country Testing Requirements, US requirements as of Nov 5, scroll all the way down to the bottom, the wording here has changed.  It’s not exactly Cruise with Confidence if you don’t know going in what to expect.

This is a game changer. If this is this case, Celebrity can no longer honour their so called "Healthy at Sea" pledge, which continues to state that tests required for home country will be provided on board. As a result, uimage.png.6d0263b67a4f9a1e8be82614a1d52dd6.pngnless the Canadian Govt removes their requirement for a negative PCR test for fully vaccinated returning travellers, I will be cancelling our Dec 3rd sailing on the Silhouette, as we cannot get insurance for quarantine and return transportation in the event of a positive test post cruise.

It looks like Celebrity changed their wordings on Nov 5, on the website.

  3. This is very disheartening, we booked our Nov cruise on the premise that Celebrity would look after us if we got Covid onboard their ship, now to find out that we will not be given the PCR test until after we disembark.  We do have insurance that covers Covid but not Trip Interruption which is what this would be if positive as we would not be allowed to fly home.

  4. We are long time Celebrity cruisers, it’s hard to know what is the best time to book since the Pandemic.  On saying that right now until Dec 13 they do have 50% off 2nd person.  They usually had a Black Friday sale but who knows this year.  We usually book far in advance &  when we are onboard as its only $100.each, deposit & you can change to whatever cruise you want.  We always do Refundable but that is a personal choice but it always gives us more flexibility if we need to cancel.

hope this helps with your decision.  We really enjoy  Celebrity ships but their website not so much.  I think they have a shareholders credit if you have I believe 100 shares.

I booked a cruise on Edge for January 30 2022 on Friday. Yesterday my sister decided she would like to go so I booked her the cabin next to mine. 24 hours later still  waiting for invoice so we can book flights. However, deposit was applied immediately and pending in her bank account. Disgusting service and it will get worse. My CVP is on holiday and wanted to take advantage of resident rate which ends tonight.

I have found that if you put a hold on a cruise, you have 24 hrs to finalize & 9 times out of 10 they will get back to you right away.  Works like a charm.

We are looking to book a Celebrity cruise for January. We’d be covered if anything happened concerning covid and we’re checking into my DHs work medical insurance if we’re covered while cruising for any other possible medical mishaps but I’m concerned we won’t be able to find cancellation/interruption insurance…this is keeping me from finalizing the booking. What is everyone else that’s cruising from Canada, or Ontario specifically, doing for that? Thanks!

We took insurance for Medical with Blue Cross plus interruption & cancellation. They cover Covid through Medical & I know that they will not cover us while we have a Travel level 4 for cruises for cancellation  but every other reason is covered & we feel comfortable with what Celebrity is offering with Cruise with confidence so it’s definitely better than just staying at home.  The level 4 may not be around in Jan.

Yes, the wording is FCC for cruise fare, does that include Cruise Airfare booked through Celebrity that would have already been paid for and ticketed?  Thanks.

To be honest, I really don’t know about the flights.  We got a really good rate with Celebrity air so taking a chance but if worse comes to worse the airline has been allowing  a one time change since Covid  if used within a year from booking date but really hoping it doesn’t come to that

So I did spend a long time searching here and on Celebrity's site, and found what they do for air booked through Celebrity once you have arrived at boarding or during the cruise.

Could not find what they do for the option of canceling 48 hours or more or if one tests positive at the 2 day prior to cruising requirement.  Anyone know?

    Thanks.

It’s under the Cruise with Confidence.  If you test positive in the 48 hr requirement before the cruise they will give you an FCC.  You must have booked before Oct 31, 2021.

That is strange? I am in Ontario and my QR code document that I dowloaded looks exactly like the one posted in #22?  (except of course if has the Ontario provincial symbol on top....)  Not sure why if you are also in Ontario yours would look different??

We downloaded it the day’s it came out so maybe they have changed it since they no longer allow you to print the original.

My QR document does show the lot numbers. (as per the example on post #22) ...I am in Ontario also?  Why does yours not have this information?  And I don't see where it says that Celebrity wants to know where it was administered? Is this a new rule?

Our Ontario QR code does not look like the Yukon one.  We downloaded it on the first day so maybe they added in the lot # ‘s later.  We are cruising in Nov on Celebrity & they wanted the original proof of vaccine that shows everything, which we uploaded to them & it was accepted. I sincerely hope they will accept your QR code.

No we don't we never downloaded them as there was no need for them - just used to show our Ontario Ministry of Health document whenever needed, and now we have the QR code document with  more complete information.

Our QR code only has name, vaccination & dates of such.  Celebrity wants to know Lot # & where it was administered, which is on original.

I booked Business on Air Canada through Celebrity.  Not the end of the world if we can't select seats now.I

If your booked Business Class I wouldn’t worry too much about what seats you get.  You will have great seats anyway.

  13. 1 hour ago, MoreyCreek said:

I wondered about this too.  Some airlines will allow seat selection as soon as booked, others won't.  A Flights by Celebrity agent told me that Celebrity pays for the flights (and the tickets are issued) about a month before the flight regardless of when you pay the flight in full.  The airline in question for me is Air Canada.

Air Canada will not allow you to choose your seats until you pay the premium in full.

i just booked our European flights in/out of Rome for our Sept. cruise & I have to tell you that Celebrity Air was way cheaper than the same flights on Air Canada.
I will pay in full when the Premium seats start to disappear.

39 days to sailing. Have checked in, but no Edocs or luggage tags. Trying to rationalize this, I have thought of several possibilities:

    1. Covid protocols or ports may be subject to change.

    2. A lot of move up bids may be anticipated, resulting to changes in luggage tags, copies of which are in Edocs.

    3. Celebrity cannot afford the postage for luggage tags that had always been available.

    4. Celebrity IT has issues. In fact many issues.

    Other suggestions?

    Thanks.

Our E-docs did not come out until 30 days before our cruise in middle of Nov.
