  1. It’s not going to be cosmetic. Just a quick repair.
  2. After the last few that were booked non-refundable, I haven’t booked any more Royal. Thanks for asking 🙄
  3. The food is border line inedible now and the service sucks. Those are the highlights!
  4. Public areas are mostly good since it was amplified, however, yes the cabins and corridors are work and dated. Definitely not fresh. The carpet was honestly out of date and style when new, so combine that with 14 years of wear and tear and it isn’t great.
  5. If she didn’t have more the points, she shouldn’t be Diamond. No other loyalty program works like that. I agree with the decision.
  6. Totally agree. The food has gotten pretty pathetic. Glad you enjoyed!
  7. Agree with a lot of what you posted here, but please consider using paragraphs 😫
  8. You are destroying this cruise line. How can you justify the abysmal food and service now present on your ships?
  9. That’s the same carpet it had in 2019 when I was last on her.
  10. My issue is not with the selection, it is with the quality, which has been non-existent on our two sailings with the new menu. Zero consistency, low quality ingredients, and poor preparation.
  11. It is wild to me that Royal always neglects cabins in drydocks and refurbs. There is nothing worse than a hotel room or ship cabin with musty old carpet and furniture. Ick.
  12. Royal Caribbean is absolutely not worth the money whatsoever at this point for us. Unless you sail on a new ship, the cabins are often worn out and have an ick factor from the old carpet and bedding, the food quality has fallen below anything I would eat at home, massive lines for MDR, and the prices are skyrocketing. It’s definitely across all mainstream lines, but genuinely sad to see how Royal has fallen since it was our primary vacation company for many many years. We have more land trips and Celebrity cruises booked. Celebrity has also dropped in quality, but still is a more enjoyable experience.
  13. Pros- being able to relax for two weeks Cons- having to live off of their food for two weeks 🤢
  14. I don’t generally, but I have in the past. But don’t get the wrong idea, you won’t see any increase in quality or reduction in price for you “subsidizing” everybody else. It’s just more going in their pocket.
  15. Absolute mess. To those saying be grateful for the free $50… it is not a free $50. They have our cash for 14 days, we wasted time on the phone with them confirming the benefits of the package, cancelling other packages, etc. In a lot of cases, $50 doesn’t even cover what was lost, much less the value of what we purchased. And before you say everybody knew it was too good to be true- the agents at RC didn’t know it was too good to be true, they went over the benefits and confirmed the price, the blogs didn’t know it was too good to be true and posted all about it, and it was left up on their website for days. Spare me the excuses and blame shifting to the customer.
  16. It’s incredible to me that people on social media will defend absolutely every cutback blindly no matter what it is. The blind loyalty people have to this company is perplexing. I used to love their product, but was also logical.
  17. That’s debatable the past six months.
  18. Highly suggest that everybody voice their disappointment about the cancellation of the package and the small OBC offset to RC on social media or email. They should have at least honored the parts that were easily fulfilled like internet and champagne. The bait and switch is bs.
  19. Are you sure it’s new or just more modern looking? I have a hard time believing they replaced the carpet since they did it in 2014 yet Mariner and the Freedom class ships still have original nasty carpet from 2003-2007 after more extensive refurbishments.
  20. They literally advertised it and sold it for over a day. That’s not entitlement, it’s disappointment and frustration. Why should the consumer think it is too good to be true if the call centers and IT didn’t? The fault lies on them regardless, they should have a change management or QC process around pushouts of anything being sold to the public. Pretty bad.
  21. Right. They offered it. We paid for it. They need to honor it. It was up there WAY too long for it to have been a good faith mistake.
  22. No. Jewel is an old ship- not mucn to offer in terms of cutting edge features.
