  1. 😂 Differences in how we do things. I read that as October 4th, which isn't a Wednesday. I'm sure you mean April 10th.
  2. Wow, this thread has really gotten off topic. Can we please get back to laughing at people who miss the ship? 😁
  3. I had family members try this for our cruise just 2 weeks ago. The non-alcohol drinker was required to buy the refreshment package. RCI would not allow her to purchase only the soda package.
  4. That changed a couple years ago. The shareholder benefit is now combinable with any other discounts.
  5. Prices on Odyssey and Symphony (bigger, newer ships) will typically be higher than Liberty. Comparatively, $21.99 is a good price. I would book it now and monitor prices to look for a better rate.
  6. I'll disagree with you on this one. I have bad knees and always sit on the aisle so I can stretch my knees. However, I will always stand up to allow you to get past me, unless you get there after the show has started. Then you're going to have to climb over me and you won't be happy with the outcome.
  7. RCI uses the discounts - Military, 1st Responder & State of Residence - to boost sales if a particular sailing is not selling as fast as they would like. The sales are not available on all sailings.
  8. I don't know if that's true either but it does make some sense. I'm sure RCI would rather have you drink the booze that you paid for as opposed to booze that they paid for.
  9. I do. For some reasons I would feel sorry for them. For other reasons I would say they got what they deserved.
  10. For the cost - I paid $6.99 for 6 of them on Amazon - it just made sense for us to do it this way. I put the tags in the holders at home before we leave and then put the tags/holders on the luggage before heading to the pier.
  11. True. We just got off Jewel a week ago. It was probably 50/50 when there was someone there vs. when it was self-serve.
  12. This is how we do it also. It's so easy to do it this way. No need to bring tape or staplers with you. But, what seems so simple to me may not seem that way to others. As Ashland said, to each their own.
  13. Just got off Jewel. We had early dining. Our Seapasses said our dining time was 5:30. The sign at the entrance to the dining room said early seating was 5:15 and the doors would close at 5:30.
  14. Congratulations on your good fortune. It looks like you've never been a victim of "things happen".
  15. While this may the posted time, it's not guaranteed. Our posted time last week was also 1:00 but the cabins did not open until about 1:40.
  16. 2 weeks ago on Jewel in San Juan, the cabins opened at 1:30.
  17. Smart choice. It'll save you some potential grief.
  18. They will be available with your cruise docs (I believe) 30 days prior to your sail date. If you do not see them listed by themselves, there will be a copy in your cruise docs toward the very back. Either way, there will only be one copy so if you want more than that, you will need to print multiple copies.
  19. In the past, I very seldom (10% of the time?) received a receipt for a Diamond drink. I just got off Jewel last week and I received a receipt for almost every Diamond Drink. Interestingly, toward the end of the cruise when the bartender knew he was going to get a cash tip from me, I received fewer receipts to sign.
  20. Impressive. I don't think I have ever hit the 90 second mark but it's usually soon after embarking. For some reason I always get my first one from the Pool Bar so it takes a little time to get up there.
  21. I just tried looking in the app to see if it says who some of the crew are i.e. Captain, Cruise Director etc. I can't find any of that info in the app.
