  1. As soon as you board (or the earliest of your group) head to the outside of Angelo's armed with names and cabin numbers of your group. Get in early, and I hope you get what you want.
  2. Princess still do awesome creme brule, at least on Majestic. - crack brule - drag spoon across and it leaves no drag marks or splits behind - creme clings to the spoon - success
  3. Pacific Adventure is about to depart on her first cruise, so comparisons will start to flow in the weeks to come. For today, they are short staffed - unable to get enough crew to deliver all of their services. Passengers have received a letter in their cabins that detail: No specialty restaurants will be open - Luke's Bar & Grill, 400 Gradi, Shell and Bones. Pantry is closed for dinner, apart for an early session for kids/family meals. I don't know if this is short or longer term. Wr have made plenty of friendships with P&O crew over the years, and with the prolonged pause here, some have jumped ship to take contracts with other lines overseas.
  4. Weather has improved. More of a following wind, and just overcast.
  5. I would love to see it happen, but all reads as aspirational to me. Royal was talking up an Oasis ship in Australia five years ago. It was aspirational then too. It will happen one day when the ships are considered too old for the Caribbean.
  6. Not going to be quite the same for a short-staffed Pacific Adventure. No specialty restaurants or dinner in the Pantry for today's departure.
  7. Celebrity Eclipse has arrived. I hope those boarding today have a smooth path through OPT.
  8. It looks like an unplanned diversion, medical perhaps. Brief stay, and on the move again
  9. Annastasia, where is your welcome mat? Another grey, wet, windy, bumpy day - not perfect, the next. Still a nice day to kick back and enjoy the ride.
  10. Luminosa is now calling at Samarang, Indonesia. I would presume this is for crew, not foot & mouth.
  11. Disembarked on 11th October - still required. Embarked Thursday, no masks required, and no government requirement. This may change ship to ship, cruise to cruise. Just bring a mask with you. If the terminal staff aren't wearing masks, they are not required. Thursday was Princess' first mask free departure here. Carnival dropped masks a week or so back, the same day governments no longer required them. Read the Eastern Seaboard Protocols. Someone here can link it - I have limited resources at sea.
  12. They took to long to get the itineraries out. Good deals, but for us, they are offset with dearer flights.
  13. Trying to stick to 2 courses for dinner on most nights, and single courses for breakfast & lunch.
  14. I have had it a couple of times in Bayou, and it was nice. Barb thought the one tonight as next level. I had a mousey dessert that wasn't on the Bayou menu, and it was nice and rich. The menu fron Coral Bayou is almost the same, with Crown Grill offering a couple of extra mains and desserts. I am happy with either.
  15. Crown Grill done, and in a food coma. I tried some alternate options to what I would usually have. Very happy (and full) Mrs Arxy had the Creme Brule cheesecake and declared it as the best dessert she has ever had. Will add some pics later. A nice way to Crown a relaxing day at sea. We booked Ultimate Balcony Dining for later in the cruise, but they are still not ready to do them. Well done Princess, you really shouldn't be offering them on the oersonaliser. Made another Crown Grill booking for the last night to ease the pain 😉
  16. Try them all. Different lines, different ships, different ports. Viva la difference. Cruise lines spend a lot of money on loyalty programs to create a hook that makes it harder to switch brands. When I book, I have to juggle between the bonus of free drinks or free mini-bar & laundry. I know what I like, but only by being disloyal. We have upcoming bookings on 3 different lines, for different reasons.
  17. South Solitary Island.😂 OK, it's between Coffs Harbour and Grafton.
  18. Log-in to your cruise on the Princess personaliser. If there is anything outstanding that needs to be done, it will pop-up for you to accept, or check yes/no answers. If nothing pops-up, you have already done this - pretty much confirming you are in the 95% vaccinated. It shows on ours for each cruise too - generic info whether already completed or not.
  19. We are very close to the coast today, just cruised past North Solitary Island.
  20. That is usually my aim too. Princess do fantastic creme brule, but the ones I had on a couple of Coral cruise recently have been egg custard with sugar on top - an eggy taste, and split.
