  1. I had that problem with one of mine, and it appears to be pretty common. Princess can solve it. This time of day through till 3:30 has been a good time to get someone on the other end of the chat, so hopefully they don't knock off early on Fridays. PS, it won't magically appear.
  2. In the dark it could be any ship. I missed the transit from the other dock, as things got a bit busy. Managed an earlier capture, but she was hidden behind Celebrity Infinity.
  3. Totally extra friendly, but don't expect hugging will be part of the deal.
  4. From my impatience last week - give it a few days. It should drop in automatically, and hopefully with most of your info already there.
  5. It appears Coral Princess will be spending a lot of time in Australia & New Zealand, so it is only fair that she gets her own thread as she prepares for her transit to Brisbane. It is the first time Coral Princess has been sighted in front of a camera for a while. She is currently berthed at terminal 19 in Fort Lauderdale. She will remain here till tomorrow morning (our time), then back to sea for a bit before returning to the same berth for another short stay. It is expected she will start he journey to Oz next week, likely Wednesday (guesstimate), via the Panama Canal. After a service stop in Papaeete, it is onward to Brisbane for the morning of 7th June. She will spend much of her time at the new international terminal until her 1st passengers depart on 16th June, except for a couple of days at sea between 11th & 13th June.
  6. Just be careful to fully edit out your booking number. It only needs a D.O.B for someone to play with your booking.
  7. Could be. KTN's are not a thing down here.
  8. On an earlier cruise that ended up being cancelled on us, the scanning of passport came up for me in the app. I do have a camera, yet it still wouldn't scan. I have added 2 cruises over the past few weeks and it hasn't asked me to scan our passports. Those details were already added in the personaliser. It seems, at least for Australian passports, that the scanning part isn't required if your passport details have been added to your booking or entered in the personaliser.
  9. It is looking like Coral Princess will be departing for our shores in 5 - 6 days. She will be heading back into Port Everglades again soon. and spending 1 1/2 days in port spread over two different docks. Back out to sea for a bit, then returning for another short stay in PE on Monday/Tuesday and I think this will be her final stop prior to departing. I haven't calculated time zones, but expect to see her sailing south towards the Panama Canal sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday. The trip appears to be Panama Canal, a service stop in Papeete, then on to Brisbane for arrival on the morning of 7th June
  10. If you want the cheapest cabin of its type, they are only guarantee cabins. He should have given you the option though.
  11. Nothing for me, but referring to several discussions on other threads overseas where they give up as it is too hard to be bothered with. I have attained the green ticks for both of our bookings. Unlike the US, we pick up our medallions in the terminal, whether ordered or not. I will order mine, but my wife is a cruise short of a black one, so will wait till after our P&O cruise at the end of the month to make sure I am not ordering platinum coloured ones for her.
  12. I have read other Princess threads, and tried chasing stuff in Princess FAQs and other web sites. While there have been a few hints, I think this is the most definitive stuff there is - till they change it again. I get the feeling that in other parts of the world, it is tried it once, didn't work, so what, I am in the blue lane. I have learned heaps from this rapid fire discussion.
  13. I didn't read everything before posting, so I'm glad a pro could confirm it. Not quite all - notifying a vaxx medical exemption needs to be done ASAP for anyone intending to cruise with one. Only 5% of total passengers can be unvaxxed, which includes anyone under 12, and they don't need an exemption. For those passengers, it they arrive at the pier and the 5% is already filled, they will be denied boarding.
  14. Close. Normally they could, but I am not sure how that will work with pre-notifying about vax status, and they definitely need to contact Princess if they are going to be cruising with a medical vaxx exemption. It will be a slow process though. There is a blue lane for those that can't do any/all the steps to be green. The basic info is taken at the time of booking, including passport or photo ID details. I don't know if there is a process of sending out docs from Princess or their T/A if there is no app info registered. The supervisors in the terminal have a printed folio of all guests and cabin numbers, including the senior person at the baggage drop - get manual luggage tags and fill out cabin number and personal details on the tags. On arrival into the terminal, prove who they are with photo ID/passports, prove vaxx status and do health survey, and get directed to the blue lane. Prove who they are at check-in counter via their passport/photo ID, security photo taken, onboard A/C details, get medallion. And while I think it can work, the more that can be done ahead of time, the better. There will be more than you think that don't use smartphones. I also think it is worth asking the question of Princess - I don't have a smartphone, how does it work?
  15. Not sure if they bought forward the first slot, but for ours the only 11:30 to 12's were for priority boarding of the limited number of suites. One tip though - even if you don't have a cabin number, print out your docs as soon as you can get a boarding time. You can print out again later, but still use the earlier copy for getting to the check-in counter, and the new one for check-in and your luggage tags. Each time you go to print your docs, it will ask you to nominate a check-in time.
  16. Check hourly 😂 Going by ours, it appears to be 50 days from departure.
  17. True, wont be anything this year. Just a point that it is ready to go, and they have approvals already in the can for a terminal should they choose to build one. Yeah, the tents did suck.
  18. Correct, not practical in comparison to Sydney, as it almost needs to be seen as a separate market. When they based a tired old Pacific Sun there for a couple of seasons, it was moderately successful. Granted, the fares were cheaper than the other P&O ships, and they did manage to park a forklift in the harbour on the first day. Passengers came from all over. Around 1/2 of the passengers came from the greater area from Taree down to Gosford, and out through the Hunter & Tamworth etc. For those in regional areas, the XPT or Explorer trains are more convenient to Broadmeadow than they are to Central. Those that flew in did so to Williamtown, where they picked up transfer buses, not to different than Kingsford Smith to White Bay. I agree, not great for parking, but I am prepared to offer my open air driveway for $20 per day, or my garage for $40 per day - limited availability, but cheaper than Sydney or Brisbane, and far less pigeons. It may seem the world revolves around Sydney, but for the rest of us we always have to contend with the risk of leaving the passport at home - we manage because we know how important it is. Yes, bring on Botany. Still, if requested/required, Newcastle could do embarkations through a Barangaroo style tent this summer. Botany is years away.
  19. That is the only part P&O refers to, and that is so they know whether to put you into the 95% or whether you need to register into the 5%. If you haven't been through the check-in for a while, they now have a spot to upload your boarding photo too.
  20. Note - Verify and P&O are separate, and you can totally finish your P&O check-in without Verifly. Verify is purely about your vaxx and health status.
  21. Yeah, no rush for VeriFLY. When I set up our profiles, I wasn't aware that it wasn't ready to connect to P&O yet. All that is left to do when it goes live is add our cruise & digital copy of vaxx certificate, then do our RAT attest and health survey on the day before boarding. This should all assist in an easy boarding, well except it will be split between technology vs manual passengers, then those that thought they could be part of the 5% unvaccinated without a medical exemption etc. My plan is to get front of socially distanced queue, and leave the dust behind - although it would be fun to watch a couple of Karen moments.
  22. At their site, top right corner is a sign-in link ..... manage booking .... visit cruise control .... enter your details similar to the personaliser. Left hand side is a manage booking link, and it is pretty basic from there. But the bestest news - they now have an app too. I can sense the excitement, but I better temper that by saying it isn't necessary for check-in, just might be handy to setup at some stage. Once that is conquered, they have a separate app for uploading proof of vaxx and health surveys. It is called VeriFLY, and has been used by quite a few travel companies. P&O doesn't go live on that app till 14th May, but it was easy to set up our profiles - no glitches yet anyway.
  23. When you get your cabin number, you will need to reprint your docs, so it will ask you again what boarding time you want. All the early ones will be filled by then, so also keep the page from your original docs with your earlier check-in time, if important to you.
