  1. Is there a minimum age for the 360 experience? It will be me, my mother and my 12 year old daughter in a suite (mother is also elite). The 12 year old is a major foodie and loves trying new and adventurous foods so I'm thinking this is something we'd all enjoy if we were to be invited, but want to set realistic expectations if there is a minimum age.
  2. We're sailing with my mom who, while she can walk, has trouble walking distances and stepping up/down. We'll be renting a mobility scooter for her for the cruise. We initially booked a mini-suite and then realized the tub/shower combo. We found a full suite with separate shower and tub for not much more so that is what we will be doing. There is no way the combo would have worked for her.
  3. Daughter's passport is expiring at the end of may and we sail middle of June. We have an appointment in 2 weeks to get her new one. Hopefully, it will be enough time!
  4. Thanks all! Since the only true option to know for sure would be to wait until onboard, we may have to re-think returning to Princess.
  5. Thanks. I will call as this will determine if we move forward with the cruise. Where are you seeing 13-17? In the family cruise FAQ on the Princess site it says 12-17….from the site… Leave your worries behind as you set sail on an adventure the whole family will love. Preparing for Your Cruise Onboard Activities Onboard Activities What is there for kids and teens to do with and without supervision on board? COVID-19 Guidelines • Unfortunately, we will not be offering port day lunch service or dining events. • Masks required when visiting the youth and teen centers.
  6. We are considering a return to Princess next summer. Lately, we've cruised Royal Caribbean and 11 year old daughter loves it. Most recently, she was able to age up to the teen program on Royal Caribbean (11 1/2, middle school, taller than most adult women). This worked out great for her and us. If we do the Princess cruise, she would be 12 1/2. The Princess website says Camp Discovery is for ages 3-11 and teen program is 12-17, but I've read comments that only 13-17 are allowed in the teen program. Does anyone have any experience with this?
  7. They must have updated the wording. The statement I was shown at the photo gallery, that I was told I agreed to at ordering the package, did not have specifics like this. It only said "specialty shoots." If the wording was specific like this, I would not have been upset.
  8. We just returned from a week on Harmony of the Seas. My mother rented a scooter from Special Needs at Sea due to some mobility issues. They were fantastic! A few days before the cruise, they called my mom to re-confirm her rental. On our way to Port Canaveral, they called to confirm when she would be arriving and give some instructions for when we arrived. When we arrived, they met us at the car with the scooter and went over some instructions. When we returned, they went with my mom and daughter while I went to get the car so she wouldn't have to walk to the passenger pickup. They were just so nice and made the process so easy.
  9. We are currently on Harmony and the one negative is the photo gallery. I purchased the 20 photo package a few months ago as a gift for my mom so we could have some photos of the 3 of us. We lost my dad this spring. They loved to cruise and we booked the cruise right after his passing. We’ve eaten at specialty dining most nights. The photographers came around & took our photos like in the dining room each night. This was great because my mom has mobility issues so it was great to get photos right at the table. On night 5, we were told that if we wanted any of those photos, they were an extra charge/not included in the package (dining room table photos are included, but not specialty dining table photos). They kept pointing to the wording “specialty shoots are not included.” The photographer said they just changed this to include specialty restaurants about 2 months ago (after I purchased the package).
  10. Thanks, but we're not doing a planned excursion. We'd need to get a taxi and across the island to Coral World by 9 am (for a 9:15 encounter). As long as we're off by 8 we should be ok.
  11. Sad to hear this with the new strain spreading like wildfire (and rapidly increasing hospitalizations). Makes us more concerned for our upcoming cruise on Harmony.
  12. We are scheduled to arrive St. Thomas at 7 am in a couple weeks (sailing on Harmony). Can anyone who's been there lately on an Oasis class ship please give me an idea of how quickly we'll be able to get off the ship (we're the only ship in port that day from everything I can find)? We are going to do an animal encounter at Coral World and trying to figure out if we can make a 9:15 am one.
  13. Has anyone who sailed in an Aqua Theater Suite on Harmony (especially deck 9) had issues with poor wi-fi? Just asking because of a video where someone on Oasis said the wi-fi was nearly non-existent in Aqua Theater Suite on deck 9.
  14. Exactly. Nothing has changed. The only people not needing 2 doses were those (adults) who received J&J.
  15. We went on Disney Fantasy when DD was 4. We got a good deal and decided to go for it. It was a very nice cruise and service was great, but DD Hated the children's program. It was pretty much a free for all for kids 3-12, with a few planned/supervised activities. After going to an open house, we convinced her to try the program and got her excited for it. Unfortunately, after 1 visit, she begged to not go back. We found an organized activity and convinced her to go back. After the activity was over in 30 minutes, she was back in the middle of the free for all and crying by the time we got there to pick her up. She was a very social child who went to preschool and loved the children's program on Royal Caribbean. It may have been different if she had another child she knew--my friend's kids love it, but they go together.
  16. Agreed! We're supposed to sail with my elderly mother next month. My father recently passed and we are supposed to go to relax before she has knee replacement surgery. Sadly, if they scrap the testing requirement, I don't think she (or the rest of us) will be comfortable sailing.
  17. Possibly look at an annual travel insurance policy, especially if this isn't your only trip for the next year.
