  1. I use a CVP because the wait times on the phone can be long, and I can handle some things with him through email (while we are on a cruise.). He knows the answer to the simple things - bed configuration, insurance, the usual way I book, and he will also knows which itineraries I am looking for, so if one is coming up in the new releases he will alert me to that. It's not a matter of pricing, but of convenience.
  2. Just call the dine line and make the reservation when you board. Should not be a problem. We are cruising in a suite now b2b and have done that, and on prior cruises as well. Before the pause, we would get a reservation card in our suite, with the restaurant and time noted, we could call dine line and change it if we wished, we usually did. So they might still be doing that on some of the ships. One minor little first world problem pet peeve - things are not done uniformly on each and every ship in the fleet. But really, don't sweat the small stuff like specialty restaurant on first evening. If you ask, most of the time they will extend that perk to the second night as well, if you don't want to use it the first night. Ask, they will probably. say yes.
  3. On Emerald now as well, it is working on my 5 year old Android. We didn't even have to visit the geek squad to fix any quirks this time.
  4. Please be careful, they are NOT interchangeable between ships, different sizes are used on different ships, so there is no point in accumulating a stash of them. But, they have been happy to give them to us at Passenger Services at no charge since after the pause.
  5. Probably noon to 1:30 in midship dining room, deck 6 for Caribbean Princess.
  6. We disembarked the Grand on August 12, and our refund check dated Sept 21 arrived in today's mail. It is from Paymode who processes onboard credit refunds for Princess.
  7. They will do everything they can to accommodate reasonable requests.I do recommend advance notice so any items not normally in that kitchen can be gathered from other locations.
  8. You are missing the whole point of this thread. This about the Wedding at Sea pricing, not the cost of the cruise fare. The Wedding at Sea is separate from any cruise fare that Princess might charge, depending upon ship, itiinerary, cabin class, length of cruise....et al. Happy Anniversary, but your cruise booking does not include the Renewal of Vows that Princess is offering, and if you are not interested in that sort of thing, that is fine, your choice. Some cruisers might be. That would be their choice. I am referring to the cost of our wedding almost 20 years, on board a Princess ship, and the cost of the wedding package at that time. The price increase is rather modest by comparison.
  9. Having been a "Princess Bride" in 2004, I am amazed that the prices are as low as they are. I know the cost of our package, and honestly, after almost 20 years, that represents a very small increase in pricing. As far as vow renewal, I still think the pricing is in line with historical costs v. inflation, and itis totally up to couple if they want to take advantage of that service or not. When one considers the cost of a land based wedding, the onboard cost is pretty reasonable.
  10. Once elite, you can request the tokens for the washer and dryer from the Passenger Services Desk. They are N/C for elite passengers if you prefer to do some of your own laundry, as we do.
  11. Laundry - pack a few detergent pods and a few fabric softener dryer sheets. You can buy detergent on board, but it is just as easy to pop a few supplies in your luggage. Bon Voyage!!!
  12. Referred to corporate finance means they owe you money and are going to send you a check in a little while, like 4 to 8 weeks. The envelope will resemble junk mail, and the return address will have a reference to Princess on the second line. I'm a retired CPA and have to keep reminding myself that the debits and credits they are posting are from their perspective, not the customer perspective. I agree that they could run a single column with additions and subtractions to make it easier to understand quickly.
  13. There are a few benefits to waiting until one is onboard to purchase, assuming there is no price increase being announced, First, OBC can be used to purchase it, and second, the cost of the Plus package is added to the cost of your cruise fare if you book ahead of time, and this increases the price of your cruise insurance if you are using the Princess cruise insurance. If you wait until you are onboard the price of your cruise insurance will not increase.
  14. We used Overlord, it was one of the most memorable tours ever. When you are on Omaha Beach, turn your back to the water and look forward and up. Imagine you are 18 and heading into the battle.
  15. Some of my prescription bottles are small enough so I use them, I might add the necessary quantity of another med to the same bottle, provided they do not look alike. For other, I use empty small prescription bottles and put the needed meds in them. Be sure to double check on drug restrictions for any countries you are visiting. Some have a zero tolerance policy on certain meds, not just narcotics, and some require prior authorization to carry certain drugs.
  16. We do take our passports ashore with us as a habit. We leave the ship with the ability to get home from that port in an emergency - wide open credit card and passport. Flights, rental cars, whatever it takes. I know, extremely cautious, but that is our habit after several decades of cruising. They are stored in PakSafe pouches worn under clothing very close to the body.
  17. IF anyone has done the first series of back to back on the Caribbean Princess this summer, can you tell me if they are doing Covid testing on board for second leg for those doing a b2b, or don't they require another test? Thanks in advance!
  18. IF you are sailing out of Ft. Lauderdale and need to test, no appointment is needed at Lab Doc, which is very convenient to the hotels on SouthEast 17th St. They do not accept insurance, but they are fast. $49 per person. We did it on Thursday June 30, and had our results in our hands very quickly. Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn Express, Renaissance, that general area is a very short walk to them.
