Just returned from a cruise on Explorer, loved the ship and it’s now in dry dock being enhanced so be great for you. Enjoy.

I have always taken cash. You will be charged 5 or 6% using your card or the ATM. if you need to get more cash open an account on the slots and put an amount on there and then cash out without playing the machine - take ticket to cashier for your cash - no cost.

Been to both, preferred Mr Sanchos, great food, great service. Loved it.

I am going on my 3rd cruise to the Fjords in June (though not with RCI), the fjords are stunning. One of the most relaxing cruises ever. Enjoy!

They state use before September and you ask if they can be used in November! 😂

As a solo I have bought it on my last two cruises. I buy Wi-Fi anyway so if the additional charge is small it’s worth it. It was definitely worth it on my last cruise out of Miami on the Explorer, lines were really long for embarkation and I just walked through the door that said Suites and Key - no line at all, on the ship within 10 mins. Love the sedate lunch in the MDR and food was great as is the chilled out last day breakfast. I don’t do the shows or any of the activities it it’s still worth it to me.

Always said it. They look great but taste of nothing or of gelatin. However on my cruise on Explorer last month they had som delicious cream puffs, lemon, one day, coffee another. They were so good I took a couple back to my cabin for afternoon tea! 🐷🐷😂

Sorry Moposh I don’t do the shows often, didn’t see any this time nor the Ice Rink, though one of my friends aboard said the Ice Show was fabulous. Where do have to fly from?

Thanks for the love! Horrible journey home for me due to a flight change. Took me 18 hours! 😱 I slept for 14 hours last night, have now picked up my dog, Millie, unpacked 1.5 suitcases and almost back to “normal”. Now to check out where I go after my Fjords cruise in June 😂 Happy cruising!

Day 8 our last day! Well it has been a great cruise and have met lovely people, eaten and drunk too much, enjoyed the islands, super staff and made a profit even after paying my on board bill. Can’t say fairer than that! Today went really quickly, played in the casino again, didn’t cash in the tournament but made some money at poker later. Breakfast in my room, lunch in MDR, excellent. Unfortunately tonight’s main course was the worst I have had all cruise, should have stuck to fish 😱 I went for prime rib, it was very fatty and I sent it back but second plate was just as bad. Such a shame as foid has been really good throughout. Everyone else loved their food tonight so that was good. Pics below. Disembarkation was not great - long lines, long way to walk and the luggage situation wasn’t great. Usually they are put in order with your disembark number but here was like an airport on a carousel and took a lot longer to find. I had booked a RCI tour including airport drop off. The tour included an airboat ride in the Everglades - Sawgrass Recreation Park. I have done 4 airboat rides in the Everglades, mainly near Orlando, and this was not good at all. No birds anywhere, two spots of alligators, tour guide loved the sound of his own voice and rarely drew breath and I was very disappointed overall! Shame to end such a great cruise on a bum note but it is what it is. Happy cruising to everyone. You will enjoy the Explorer even more after her spruce up I’m sure. My next cruise is on P&O Iona to the Norwegian Fjords on June 10th. Part of the parade! Bonkers!

Just that it’s happening! Lot of crew staying on board to help. Don’t know much more. Will update the review shortly -just landed in London and have a 4 hour wait before my next flight so have some time if I can stay awake 🙄

More dinner pics

It looks like the Tagliatelle that someone had and they did tell him it was noodles not pasta. Tonight’s dinner was good again, I went with the shrimp and potato salad, the lobster and molten chocolate cake with ice cream. I did get two portions of lobster. After dinner I visited the casino and played a little poker until bed time, we gain an hour tonight. Won $420 so happy 🥳 Pics from dinner. Night night. last day tomorrow 😢

De Palm seem to be the main tour operators on Aruba. I will let you know who they went with when I meet up with the others.

Room service for breakfast, a short stay at the poker tournament and Blackjack tournament! Lunch in MDR then an hour in the sun. Now for a nap before formal night. Pic of lunch menu and also Zumba class on the Promenade this morning! Well attended and looked fun.

Day 6 continued. I had a massage and facial booked for 3 pm (special price!) and it was really good. No selling, just an excellent treatment from Roberta. Despite have a wash and blow dry yesterday in the salon, I got soaked in the spray on the boat taking us to the sub! So I asked if they would straighten my hair and the same stylist I had yesterday did it and didn’t charge me! I thought that was great service, I did tip him of course. Met with the group of women, who have become friends on the cruise, at the R Bar pre dinner and then dinner at 8. Two of them had My Time Dining but joined me at the table on Day 2 and stayed since. We have a great dinner table. Dinner pics to follow as they are on my phone. I had Greek Salad, Salmon Tartare and Jumbo Shrimp. All good. Pics of other diners’ dinners included ! So now we’re back at sea and we managed to get a cash poker table going! You really have to persuade the host to make it happen. I played for 2.5 hours and lost $15 - so quite happy with that, it was fun. There are two more tournaments, one on each sea day so I’ve registered for those. 🤞 Heard good reports of Eagle Beach on Aruba so may go there next time (if there is a next time)! The sea was pretty choppy for the snorkelling and diving apparently and two of the friends that tried it did not feel safe doing it. One could not swim back and needed to be brought back by one of the guides, no vests were provided. I’ll check out the name of the tour with them later and let you know.

I find a lot of desserts in the windjammer very synthetic though they look good, I don’t think they taste great. But bring on the Cream puffs! Coffee the other day and lemon today! Just fabulous. No pics as I ate them!

Day 6? Aruba, did a cruise ship tour Aruba by land and sea. Ok but not great IMO can’t recommend it. Beach next time I think. Windjammer for lunch. Looks messy but tastes delicious! Fish curry, fries and a little lamb and beef stew.
