You took a lot of time out of your Christmas holiday to be negative. Good for you grinch.
No....not much time at all. Thanks for worrying though.
-
You really can't make these comparisons. You will find cabins that are cool and warm on the same cruise so the answer is based on one cabin, not the ship in general.
-
Worrying about weather affecting a cruise ship is illogical. Worry about the more common things such as getting struck by lightning.
-
What is surprising about that? It is a bar with plenty of public space.
-
Wow.....just goes to show you tragedy can happen at the most unexpected times.
Sorry for your loss Sam.

The entire cruise industry model has remarkable similarities. Each line will do some things better, some things just as good and some things not as good as the others. There is no clear winner in my view.

Just tie a string with a slip knot to the organizer. It is adjustable and you can use it on any door.

This has nothing to do with being 'fair', fair means the transaction is for the correct amount where neither side is cheated. You are wanting them to eat a mistake on someones part which no business has to do. If the shoe was on the other foot I bet your reaction would be different.

Supply and demand. Some can continuously moan about the quality and what they think they deserve for their bargain fare but bottom line is the product being offered at the current price point is filling up the ships.
-
The cruise industry is booming right now.

1. Credit card and pay it when I get home. I refuse to link a debit card in a situation that involves holds and the such and carrying that much cash for me is pointless since I have a card I can use.
2. For me....no. I still find plenty of other cool stuff to do on the ship. It is full of things and I still think there are things left for me to do at this point. I may consider it later when I am looking for a new experience if we repeat on the Escape.

To me that package has more worth than just comparing the potential price of drinks to the daily cost. Overall it provides a much better experience for us, it is nice being able to grab anything from a specialty coffee, a sports drink, a milk shake to an alcoholic drink at anytime without worrying about the budget.
There hasn't been a time yet when I don't think we came out ahead at the end plus I was able to relax more during the trip knowing the bill was paid. That peace of mind adds value for me.

They refunded the correct amount. Instead of a a $300 credit under the Early Saver restrictions the insurance policy allowed you to recover 75% of the $500 deposit which is $375. The insurance policy is an added expense so it gone no matter what outside of the review period once they begin to assume risk.

No....once you get a few miles from land.

No. One international sports channel that shows soccer primarily.

salmon and small chickens = weird ingredients....LOL
-
Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't see anywhere Shayhooper say's it's the cheapest cruise or cheapest vacation you can get.
Next it will be at the Super 8 drinking malt liquor if they think they can one up someone.
-
There are simply some strange people on here who have the ability to argue over the most peculiar things.
LOL....who basically says "we will smuggle booze and stiff the workers to cruise cheaper than you"

Over o dozen cruises with my step-son. Never been asked for any letter.
-
My mistake. Wasn't reading carefully enough. Makes me want to try out Cagney's.
If you are looking for a traditional steak dinner you won't be disappointed. It is not complimentary though, you can pay a la carte or it is part of the dining package.
O'Sheehans on the other hand is complimentary but as I said it is what most consider 'bar foods' other than some dinner specials they run.
-
We'd rather be at home planning our next cruise with the money we saved by NOT buying the drink package on our previous cruise .
:D :D
Congrats I guess. I am planning my next cruise and I enjoyed the drink package on the last cruise and will on the next.

I am on board with not saying a thing if they don't have a policy in place to address situations where pregnancies are discovered last minute.
A woman who is also 6 weeks can hypothetically book today and simply be allowed to bring the letter with her but since the OP booked before the deadline and found out afterward she is denied boarding? That makes no sense.
-
You are saying O'Sheehan’s is upscale and Cagney's is a bar and grill.
Correct?
No...exact opposite.

Moderation is the key:
How much does one drink at home? Certainly not nearly $100.00 a day? (at least not in our house)
I'm not at home.
High winds=danger?

Well....at least someone on here doesn't wake up looking to be offended. :champagne-toast:
